Two of them still had Purgatory Fire on them which was being extinguished slowly by the immersion in the icy water.

"So the three monsters were hiding in here!" Chen Hao exclaimed with surprise.

"That's strange! Where does all this well water come from?" Ye Yuqiao questioned.

"I don't know," answered Chen Hao. "But one thing is certain, there is a gravitational force at the top of the Netherworld's sky, which is why such strange and complex sky wells formed. Maybe this gravitational force is the same as the one from beneath the mortal world—after all, it's the mortal world above and the Netherworld below."
