In the vast expanse of snow, Chen Hao and Ye Yuqiao's Nether Soul Bodies continued to press forward.

Ever since the day Yuqiao's Nether Soul Body had transformed into a phoenix and turned the Polar Ice Land upside down, they hadn't encountered any disturbances or attacks from magical beasts.

In fact, this had made things somewhat boring.

Chen Hao had hoped to enhance his use of the Nether King's Power through encounters with a few ancient magical beasts, but now he couldn't even sense the Spiritual Power of such beasts.

Soon after, Chen Hao, carrying Ye Yuqiao's Nether Soul Body, leaped onto the highest snow peak around them. Standing atop the snow peak, they both looked around, with Chen Hao activating his Nether Vision.

"There it is!" After scanning for a while, Chen Hao finally spotted a large dark green forest in the distant northwest.

During the seven days leading up to this point, the two had seen almost nothing but black and white in the Polar Ice Land—white snowfields and mountains, and black stones and withered trees.

Now, seeing colors other than white and black was a delightful surprise for Chen Hao. Even the dark, cold shade of green seemed incredibly vibrant to him.

Then, the two headed towards that forest.

After a while, as they approached the forest very closely, a cold wind suddenly blew from their east.

Chen Hao abruptly halted, hearing faint wails in the gusts of wind.

"What's wrong?" Ye Yuqiao's Nether Soul Body asked.

"Xiao Ming, did you hear anything odd?" Chen Hao queried.

"This is the Polar Ice Land; aren't strange sounds pretty normal here?" Ye Yuqiao's Nether Soul Body responded nonchalantly.

At that moment, Chen Hao heard the sharp wailing again.

Quickly, he turned his head to look eastward. In a blink, his vision penetrated layers of snow mountains, and then he spotted several snow mountain monkeys.

"Those damn monkeys again!" Ye Yuqiao's Nether Soul Body exclaimed disdainfully, "Looks like they're bullying two pigs."

Through Chen Hao's perspective, she saw around a dozen snow mountain monkeys surrounding two massive beasts that greatly resembled pigs.

These gigantic creatures, one considerably larger than the other, were snow white, though their eyes, nostrils, and mouths were pink. The larger one was already scarred from the snow mountain monkeys' claws, while the smaller one cowered behind it, appearing very frightened.

The sharp wails Chen Hao heard were coming from the smaller beast.

After watching for a moment, Chen Hao asked, "Should we go help those two gigantic creatures?"

"This is the law of survival here; such things happen almost all the time, and we can't change these rules," Ye Yuqiao's Nether Soul Body remarked.

Chen Hao turned and looked at her sidelong, feeling that such words were uncharacteristic of her.

"But these monkeys are so annoying, we have to help them just to teach them a lesson!" Ye Yuqiao's Nether Soul Body suddenly changed her tone, then clenched her fist, her fighting spirit high, "Let's hurry, I'm ready to beat up that bunch of stinky monkeys!"

As they spoke, Chen Hao had already carried Ye Yuqiao's Nether Soul Body at high speed to arrive behind that group of snow mountain monkeys.

When the snow mountain monkeys saw Chen Hao and Ye Yuqiao's Nether Soul Body, they were so frightened that their mouths hung open, and their white fur stood on end.

In the blink of an eye, the group of snow mountain monkeys had vanished. Ye Yuqiao's Nether Soul Body naturally wouldn't let them go, transforming into a firebird and shooting flames at them, filling the snowy area with the howls of the snow mountain monkeys.

Chen Hao cautiously approached the two ancient creatures that looked a lot like pigs, noticing that the larger one was already heavily injured.

Standing before the two strange creatures, Chen Hao felt incredibly small. Even the smaller one was the size of two elephants from the mortal world.

Chen Hao hesitated, unsure of what to do, and then forced out a stream of the Nether King's Power from within his body, channeling it into the larger creature to freeze its wounds.

Initially, the larger creature looked at Chen Hao with hostility, but then, feeling its wounds healing, its gaze softened.

Not much later, a shout came from the sky, "Jerk!"

Chen Hao looked up to see Ye Yuqiao's Nether Soul Body descending from the sky.

He was startled at first, then leaped into the air to catch Ye Yuqiao's Nether Soul Body.

"Can you not be so mischievous, what if I couldn't catch you?" Chen Hao said through gritted teeth.

"No way, you would definitely catch me." Ye Yuqiao's Nether Soul Body said with a broad smile, then wrapped her hands tightly around Chen Hao's neck.

"Jerk, I've already scared off that bunch of stinky monkeys, let's go!"

"Okay," Chen Hao nodded. After speaking, he tossed Ye Yuqiao's Nether Soul Body upwards, then caught her on his back.

After giving one last look at the two strange creatures, Chen Hao waved at them, then left, carrying Ye Yuqiao's Nether Soul Body on his back.

A quarter of an hour later.

They arrived at a dark green forest.

Before even entering the woods, Chen Hao smelled an ancient Yin Qi.

"Be careful!" Ye Yuqiao's Nether Soul Body became alert.

"I didn't expect you to be scared too."

Ye Yuqiao's Nether Soul Body gently bit Chen Hao's ear, "This forest is clearly different."

"How is it different?"

"If I say it's different, then it's different. I'm the queen, what I say goes!"

"Since you're scared, why don't we just bypass this forest, or even fly over it?" Chen Hao suggested.
