"Two days?" Xie Xiaofeng exclaimed, then turned back to look at Chen Hao and Ye Yuqiao in the back seat.

"Then we'll just stay in this town for two days," Chen Hao said, his voice tinged with resignation. "What else can we do?"

"Let's get out of the car then, there's a decent inn nearby, I saw it when we passed by!" Xie Xiaofeng said as he pushed the car door open and got out.

After a smile, Ye Yuqiao closed the curtains completely. Just as she turned around, Chen Hao, who had sneaked up behind her, scooped her up in a sideways embrace.

"Ah!" Ye Yuqiao let out a startled cry, "You jerk, why scare me like that?"

Chen Hao didn't speak but carried Ye Yuqiao to the bed and laid her down before tucking her in and said with a goofy smile, "Get some good sleep, and remember to keep looking pretty even in sleep, because I will be here watching you swoon."

Yuqiao wrapped her arms around Chen Hao's neck with her eyes closed and said, "Save your swooning for later. That mechanic from the repair shop has brought people to our door. Hurry up and deal with them and remember not to disturb your queen's rest! Otherwise, you'll be failing as a boyfriend!"

"Roger that!" Chen Hao cheerfully agreed and then strode out of the room, now fuming with rage.

Less than a minute later, Chen Hao exited the hotel entrance, just as the mechanic and several youths arrived at the door.

After exchanging glances, Chen Hao immediately pretended to flee in panic towards an alley nearby.

"That's the kid, he's run into a dead-end alley!" the mechanic from the repair shop shouted.

Then, the group chased after Chen Hao into the alley.

Chen Hao emerged from the alley with a triumphant smile, with the dozen or so tough youths all laid out on the ground by him.
