"Cousin," the Onmyoji immediately flashed a sycophantic smile at Huang Can and then asked, "What brings you here?"

This Onmyoji, Chen Xiang by name, bore no blood relation to Huang Can. His choice of address stemmed from two factors: Huang Can's mother's family hailed from the same village, and he sought to curry favor by establishing a connection with Huang Can.

"Brat!" Huang Can suddenly shouted in surprise, interrupting the Onmyoji, then abruptly turned around, his face now twisted with a deep furrow of concern as he urgently asked, "Where did that kid go afterwards?"

Suddenly, a crafty light gleamed in the Onmyoji's eyes, and he leaned close to Huang Can, whispering with a malicious grin, "Cousin, since it's come to this, why not just be done with it? I might as well just take a knife and finish him off?"

Huang Can's eyes narrowed as he slipped into deep thought. After a moment, he abruptly broke free from the Onmyoji's grip and deliberately distanced himself, saying, "I don't know anything. I was just passing by to check on you. I'm leaving now!"

With that, Huang Can turned and left the warehouse, then briskly walked towards the exit. He acted this way for self-preservation, not wanting to get entangled in the affair.

Huang Can's brow furrowed, and he turned around, rebuking, "I'm not your big cousin, stop calling me that."

Upon reaching Huang Can's side, the Onmyoji glared angrily at Xie Xiaofeng and Tang Jing and demanded, "Who are you two?"

"We're friends of Chen Hao, who you just murdered!" Xie Xiaofeng said calmly while his eyes showed contempt, "Quite the act, you two, committing murder to seal lips!"

Suddenly, the Onmyoji's expression turned murderous, and then he used a powerful spell to put Xie Xiaofeng and Tang Jing into a deep sleep.

Seeing Xie Xiaofeng and Tang Jing collapsed on the ground, Huang Can turned to the Onmyoji, asking in shock, "What are you doing? Isn't one murder enough? Do you plan to kill these two as well?"

"Of course!" the Onmyoji said coldly, his eyes filled with terrifying streaks of blood.

"Truly depraved!" Huang Can scoffed, "Anyway, it has nothing to do with me at this point. I know nothing; you take care of it yourself."

Having said that, Huang Can stepped over the bodies of Xie Xiaofeng and Tang Jing and walked out the door.

"Huang Can, if you just walk away like this, I'll take these two and turn myself in, claiming it was you and I who finished off Chen Hao. With their testimony, they can vouch for me!"

"You!" Huang Can turned around furiously, glaring back at the Onmyoji, "You dare to threaten me? Do you know what happens to dogs that bite their owners?"
