After venting her anger on Chen Hao for a while, the Peach Blossom Maiden finally stopped. Although the furious red glow had faded from her eyes, a brooding darkness remained clearly visible on her peach blossom-like face.

With a snort, the Peach Blossom Maiden transformed into a ladleful of pale pink flower petals, slowly ascending into the sky, mingling with the still-falling snow in the air, which made the night sky all the more enchantingly beautiful.

Not long after the ladle of peach blossoms had drifted away, a few peach branches suddenly sprung from the snow, wrapping around Chen Hao's entire body on the ground, binding him fast.

Before he even opened his eyes, Chen Hao was shaken by an intense cold that made his whole body shiver. He timely infused his blood with Yang Energy to prevent the rapid loss of bodily heat. Listening to the ethereal whistling of the wind by his ear, Chen Hao couldn't help but wonder, "Where am I?"

The moment Chen Hao opened his eyes, he was utterly stunned!

Above him was a pristine and clean blue sky; below was a layer of snow-white clouds, and between this expanse of blue and white floated an immense sun radiating boundless light.

"I'm above the clouds!" Chen Hao exclaimed in his mind. After feeling his strength restored within, he attempted to rise only to discover that he was tightly bound all over by peach branches blooming with flowers, and these branches were dragging him forward as they flew.

The cold white clouds flowed past him, making him feel like a fallen leaf drifting on an icy lake surface.

After trying with all his might for a bit, Chen Hao was unable to shake off the peach branches entwined around him and could only slightly lift his head. In the farthest distance his vision could reach, Chen Hao saw light pink peach blossom petals, intermittently visible amongst the white clouds.

"It's this Peach Blossom Demon that has taken me up to the sky!" Chen Hao came to a sudden realization, then couldn't help guessing if the demon intended to take him to King Xin. If so, that would be great, saving him the trouble of embarking on a long trek to seek out King Xin.

While Chen Hao was secretly delighted, the ladle of peach blossoms not far ahead suddenly soared upward and then flowed towards him like waters from a waterfall. Eventually, when it landed beside Chen Hao, the ladle of peach blossoms coalesced into the human form of the Peach Blossom Maiden.

"You're still alive?" the Peach Blossom Maiden said coldly.

"You might as well consider me dead," Chen Hao said. "I won't resist anyway."

"You know where I'm taking you, right?"

"And you know where I want to go, right?" Chen Hao asked with a smile.

The Peach Blossom Maiden's expression darkened, and she said with some displeasure, "I have no interest in bantering with you. Since you've woken up, you must return to slumber!"

At that moment, a faint scent of peach blossoms wafted into Chen Hao's nostrils.

Chen Hao smiled and said with preternatural calm, "Ah! This scent is nice, it's refreshing and even has a hypnotic effect. I was worried it would be too noisy to sleep up here in the sky. This is better than taking sleeping pills; at least there are no side effects."

Chen Hao's relaxed demeanor really annoyed the Peach Blossom Maiden. She couldn't understand how this seemingly unremarkable man before her could be so confident of defeating King Xin.

"Don't look at me like that," Chen Hao chuckled lightly, the poison from the peach blossom fragrance now spreading through his blood and causing some dizziness and weakness. "It makes you seem a bit like a flower-crazy person."

The peach blossom girl's pupils abruptly shrank to a fraction of their size, and a flash of rage flickered through her dark eyes. She extended her left hand towards Chen Hao, which immediately transformed into a curved peach branch, rapidly growing forward and piercing into Chen Hao's right chest.

"Ouch!" After a cry of pain, Chen Hao passed out, yet a smile that greatly annoyed the peach blossom girl still lingered on his face.

Afterward, the peach blossom girl sat on top of Chen Hao, carefully examining his cheeks, trying to figure out what made this boy who had only just killed King Ning so exceptional.

As she looked on, a blush spread across her face, and she slowly reached out to touch Chen Hao's pale, cold cheek. The moment her slender fingers made contact with the skin on the left side of Chen Hao's face, she quivered as though electrocuted, the blush on her face expanding and deepening in hue, resembling a ripened peach.

"What a strange feeling!" the peach blossom girl murmured. "Is this why King Xin touches that man's face every day?"

"He got a good beating from me last night; why doesn't the little bastard look like he's been mauled? He seems perfectly fine!"

Night fell.

Below the clouds, snowflakes fluttered in a hazy dance; above them, the night sky shone brilliantly, stars scattered like tiny specks. Such stark contrasts made this night seem exceedingly beautiful.

The peach blossom girl still sat sideways on Chen Hao's body, occasionally glancing at the close Ming Yue, sometimes gazing at the distant, snow-covered mountains. But most of the time, her gaze returned to Chen Hao's face, which, after much observation, she found less and less unpleasant.

"King Shuanglin, what brings you here?" the peach blossom girl asked, her heart trembling slightly, the intense, cold Yin Qi emanating from King Shuanglin filling her with fear.

King Shuanglin snorted coldly, paying no heed to the peach blossom girl. In his eyes, a minor character like her was hardly worth mentioning. He lowered his gaze to Chen Hao seated beneath the peach blossom girl, and immediately, a murderous chill flickered in his sharp, leonine eyes, deep-seated hatred written all over his face.

"Leave the boy behind!" King Shuanglin commanded coldly. "You can leave!"

Seeing King Shuanglin's disregard, the peach blossom girl also forsook any pretense of humility. After rolling her eyes at King Shuanglin, she said disdainfully, "Don't you forget, this is King Xin's territory."

"I will discuss it with King Xin later!" King Shuanglin stated, still not gracing the peach blossom girl with a direct look. "This is between her and me, none of your business, and you'd best stay out of it! All you need to do is leave him to me!"

"What if I insist on taking him with me?" the peach blossom girl asked.
