Legend of Dragon Son-in-law

Chapter 1868: Fake Blade

"Cristiano Grey?"

Sutton was somewhat surprised.

"You are truly an old member of our Undead Tribe, why would you betray us along with Devlin?"

Sutton could understand if Devlin planned to rebel.

He was an ambitious person; nothing he did would be unexpected.

There was no problem keeping Devlin around.

Sutton was confident he could suppress Devlin.

As long as there was the slightest sign of Devlin betraying the Undead Tribe, Sutton would eliminate him.

Keeping Devlin could accomplish many things for the Undead Tribe.

But what he didn't expect was that Devlin actually had the Break Sky Knife!

This weapon that effectively restrained them.

Oddly, the Undead Tribe slain by the Break Sky Knife all turned to charcoal without exception.

Yet, only the wound areas of Emperor Charlotte Grey's body carbonized, the rest remained unchanged.

Could it be that Emperor Charlotte Grey was highly skilled and physically robust?

If so, if Devlin didn't strike the heart with one blow, might Emperor Charlotte Grey still be alive?

Sutton looked at Han Caldwell's arm, lost in thought.

But now, he didn't have much time to think.

The betrayal of Cristiano Grey made the situation completely slip out of Sutton's control.

Like Emperor Charlotte Grey and Han Caldwell, Cristiano Grey was also turned into a member of the Undead Tribe when he was brought out of the mountain.

Although they didn't have the high status of the original Undead Tribe, before the Emperor emerged, they were basically regional overlords.

Besides Sutton, no one could control them.

Even so, Cristiano Grey still rebelled.

"Everyone has their ambitions. General Sutton, I advise you to recognize the situation and follow Mr. Devlin."

Cristiano Grey said expressionlessly.

"What?"

Upon hearing this, Sutton was even more surprised. "Cristiano Grey, you mean, it's not that you were instructing Devlin, but you voluntarily joined him?"

A proud member of the Undead Tribe, actually becoming a lackey to an ordinary person?

Sutton didn't think Cristiano Grey became a lackey after Devlin gained immortality.

"A wise bird chooses the tree to nest in." Cristiano Grey's voice was cold, and the dagger in his hand pointed at Sutton's chest: "General, don't force me to act."

Sutton fell silent for two minutes, glancing at Devlin. "Fine."

At this point, refusing meant certain death.

He had no choice but to compromise.

The Emperor had not yet been rescued, Sutton could not die.

Some call him foolishly loyal, but if it weren't for the Emperor's support, Sutton would already be dust and bones.

Even the worst people do virtuous deeds.

At least Sutton believed everything he did was worthwhile.

"Since the General agrees, I would trouble Brother Grey to imprison the General."

Devlin, wielding the Break Sky Knife, walked up to Sutton: "Pardon me, General!"

Crack!

He raised the knife and stabbed down hard!

The sharp blade slit through Sutton's feet, cutting his tendons.

Sutton stared fiercely at Devlin, and despite feeling pain tens of times worse than a normal human, he gritted his teeth and didn't make a sound!

"What spirit! Truly the number one warrior under the Emperor!" Devlin waved his hand, and Cristiano Grey dragged Sutton out of the conference room.

Only Han Caldwell was left.

Looking helpless.

Devlin's mind was once again troubled.

Why could the Break Sky Knife in his hand turn minor members of the Undead Tribe to ash?

But with Emperor Charlotte Grey, although it killed him, it didn't have the same effect.

If it didn't strike Emperor Charlotte Grey, would he have died?

Or perhaps, when it comes to skilled members of the Undead Tribe, must the vital point be hit?

What he didn't know was that the real Break Sky Knife had been swapped out by Julius Reed.

The knife Devlin held was merely an ordinary weapon coated with the Break Sky Knife's material.

A fake!

It was this coating that destroyed Emperor Charlotte Grey's heart.

But at the same time, the coating was entirely consumed.

"No problem, I'm willing to follow you."

Han Caldwell stood up, speaking frankly: "As long as you can help me achieve what I want, you can have this coveted position."

"Good! Bold!"

Devlin had no intention of killing Han Caldwell, at least not for now.

The entire Boulevard Mountain had gathered here because of Han Caldwell's influence.

If Devlin killed Han Caldwell now, it would cause great unrest, a result no one wanted to see.

"Lucien Radcliffe, I'll leave this knife to you. If anyone disobeys my orders, kill them outright."

Devlin tossed the Break Sky Knife, and it was caught by Lucien Radcliffe.

"Yes, Father!"

Lucien Radcliffe was a born assassin, exuding an aura unique to assassins!

Cold, unfeeling!

In his eyes, there were only prey!

"Devlin, let me remind you, you're playing with fire."

Han Caldwell stood before Devlin, gravely reminding him: "Sutton is the leader of the Undead Tribe. If you imprison him and it gets out, it might incite everyone's anger, then..."

"The only person in this room is you." Devlin interrupted Han Caldwell, staring at him with a masked face: "If this matter leaks, it could only be you. So, Mr. Caldwell, I hope you consider this carefully."

These words left Han Caldwell speechless.

"Alright, I said I would cooperate with you, of course, I won't betray you."

After pondering for a moment, Han Caldwell responded.

Emperor Charlotte Grey was dead.

He deeply regretted rescuing Devlin.

If he had known today would come, Han Caldwell would never dig his own grave.

But things had already happened, he could only find a way to survive.

"Very well." Devlin sat back in his chair, crossing his legs and pulling out a cigarette from his pocket.

"Starting tomorrow, bypassing the Dusty Platform, go directly..."

He turned his head slightly, gesturing gently toward the wall.

Whoosh!

The cigarette flew from his fingers!

Nailing directly to the wall.

The location pierced through the map was a small town three hundred miles away from the Dusty Platform.

"By not going to the Dusty Platform, won't we be giving an opportunity to Cold Nelson? We can't lose the legitimacy struggle!"

Han Caldwell insisted on his opinion. "Moreover, if we don't attack the Dusty Platform, how will we explain to the Grandmasters? Won't they have objections?"

"Shaking the army's morale is the most dangerous thing! If it triggers suspicion, we'll be doomed!"

The Grandmasters from Boulevard Mountain came here to achieve glory.

In the end, for the most critical battle, they wouldn't fight?

How would others view this?

"The issue of morale is for you to handle, Mr. Caldwell."

Devlin lit another cigarette, clenching it in his mouth. "I'm only focused on domination. In the future, when it comes time to reward achievements, you will undoubtedly receive the highest merit."

"This..."

Han Caldwell was somewhat speechless. "Then tell me why we're not going to the Dusty Platform! I need some explanation!"

"The secrets of the universe must not be revealed! Just wait, when the day comes, you will admire me beyond words."

Devlin flicked the lighter, igniting the cigarette in his mouth: "Once, I had only wisdom, with no sufficient strength. But now, I have both. So, it's my turn to reign supreme!"
