Legend of Dragon Son-in-law

Chapter 1828: Gone Mad

"Davion, you're such a beast! Without the Ghost Martial Tribe, where would you be today?" Lillian Tompson sharply turned her head, her eyes full of disappointment.

She never thought that the venerable High Priest of the Ghost Martial Tribe would utter words like a desperate stray dog.

"Lillian, if you want to blame someone, blame yourself! If you had treated me a bit better, how would I have become like this? Since I can't have your heart, I'll take your body!" Davion lowered his head, avoiding Lillian Tompson's gaze.

Those deep in love are the most reckless.

That stubbornness, that attentiveness, and the despair after being rejected, the fantasies, self-consolation, and despair again.

It's enough to break a person!

Davion has already been broken.

He's gone mad.

"You're a real madman! Davion, you've become someone I don't recognize, someone repulsive! You've completely lost it!" Lillian Tompson shook her head, utterly disappointed.

The High Priest of the Ghost Martial Tribe is one of the most important members of the tribe.

Moreover, Davion holds the secret of finding their ancestor Pruitt Wilde.

If he dies, the Ghost Martial Tribe's search for Pruitt Wilde will surely be delayed.

But if he betrays them, the hope of resurrecting the ancestor might be lost forever.

In every member's heart of the Ghost Martial Tribe, resurrecting the ancestor is the top priority!

Lillian Tompson loves Julius Reed, but she knows where she stands.

First, she is the Holy Maiden of the Ghost Martial Tribe, then Demarco Mount's maid.

Confronted with the sorcerer's betrayal, Lillian Tompson was taken by surprise.

Disappointment and shock finally turned into anger.

Maybe it's a feigned surrender?

She couldn't believe the High Priest with such high status in the Ghost Martial Tribe would truly defect.

"I don't want to interfere in your matters. But, boy." Hayden Marsh raised his sword, pointing at the sorcerer Davion: "Would you be willing to work for us? Even willing to confess everything?"

His brother was dead, and they both were furious.

But anger doesn't cloud their minds.

How was the remnant on the lamp discovered?

How could the other side know the Black Pine League's secrets?

The inner hall was always guarded by the royals, no outsiders should've appeared.

Moreover, the Black Pine League acquired this item but never knew its origins.

If the sorcerer was willing to defect, they would certainly consider it.

After all, the one who killed Hercules Marsh was the snake wielder and this woman in front of them.

The sorcerer was only rescuing.

Besides, the two had already split.

Lillian Tompson was their target to kill, and if they could in her final moments exchange for the sorcerer's defection, Hayden Marsh wouldn't refuse.

"Yes! I'm willing to confess everything! I'm willing to explain our purpose for coming here, I'm willing to reveal the Ghost Martial Tribe's secrets, I'll do anything for you!" Davion said, with red eyes, looking at Lillian Tompson: "I only want her!"

"Hah, bullshit love." Konrad Marsh shook his head. "I'll go ask the master whether to spare your life, it's his call!"

Not long after.

Konrad Marsh returned.

"Master's intentions are clear, as long as you're willing to confess truthfully, this woman is yours. But, only for tonight."

The two brothers stood at the door, speaking coldly.

"Why? Why only tonight?" Davion widened his eyes.

"She killed my brother, how could I allow her to live till dawn? Boy, what are you thinking?" Hayden Marsh tapped Davion's face with the blade: "Decide for yourself, join us or die."

By the end, the tone was full of threat.

"One night..." Davion muttered, almost deranged. "Alright! Tomorrow morning, I'll tell you all the secrets of the Ghost Martial Tribe and that arm! But, I hope you'll let me live, I'm powerful, I can create illusions!"

"The master said as long as you perform well, he won't treat you poorly in the future." Hayden Marsh swung his sword, cutting the ropes on Davion, coldly said: "By morning, I hope you'll give me an answer."

Saying that, the two left.

In the room, only Lillian Tompson and Davion were left.

"Lillian." Davion, newly freed, trembled uncontrollably.

He knelt down, slowly reaching to touch Lillian Tompson's face: "Do you know how much I love you! I've liked you for so many years, done so much for you, but in the end..."

"Take your filthy hands off, you're only making me despise you more!" Lillian Tompson said coldly, her eyes filled with revulsion and a trace of hatred!

"You're the High Priest, the hope to resurrect the ancestor for the Ghost Martial Tribe. Why, why choose to betray!"

"Haha!" Being questioned, Davion suddenly laughed: "Lillian, at this point, you're still saying this to me? I want to live, which means you must die. Even as you're about to die, in such a condition, do I still need to please you? You've been spoiled by me!"

After that, he gently brushed Lillian Tompson's hair with madness in his eyes!

Since it's come to this, what is there to fear?

Nothing!

Go crazy!

"Aren't you afraid of revenge from the Ghost Martial Tribe if you betray us! Davion, you know how powerful the Ghost Martial Tribe is." Lillian Tompson took a deep breath, still trying to persuade: "The ancestor..."

"Shut up!" Davion suddenly raged! "The ancestor, what can he do? If he died, it's because he was incompetent. Why waste our youth, sacrifice our freedom and lives for resurrecting that so-called absurd ancestor! I've had enough!"

He grabbed Lillian Tompson's hair and kissed her forcefully!

Bam!

Lillian Tompson quickly turned her head and slapped Davion on the chest!

Thud!

Poisoned by the snake venom, Davion flew back and crashed heavily on the ground.

"You... weren't you sealed, how could you..."

Davion widened his eyes.

In the inner hall, Gerrit Harris's three silver needles had sealed Lillian Tompson entirely.

Why did Lillian Tompson seem unaffected now?

"Traitor!" Lillian Tompson stomped on Davion's neck, causing the High Priest of the Ghost Martial Tribe to struggle for breath, his face turning purple!

"Don't... don't kill me..." Davion pleaded helplessly.

The venom had severely damaged his body, leaving him powerless.

"You'd better behave! If you defect, I'll surely kill you!" Lillian Tompson hesitated, knowing that Davion held the Ghost Martial Tribe's secrets. "Come with me, this is your last chance. If I leave alone, you'll only die."

After all, she couldn't bring herself to kill him.

Having worked together for nearly a hundred years, plus the aim to resurrect the ancestor, the sorcerer Davion was indispensable.

"Alright..." Davion struggled to say.

"I'll check the situation outside, don't move." Lillian Tompson stood up and walked to the door.

"She's trying to escape!" Davion suddenly shouted with all his might.

Bam!

At the same time.

The door was slammed open.

The Marsh brothers entered wielding swords, their faces full of anger!

"Offering a toast and refusing to drink it, preferring penalty wine! Girl, it seems you don't want to see tomorrow's sun!" Hayden Marsh raised his sword, ready to strike!
