Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong

Chapter 1335: Past and Future Paths (Part 2)

"That's right, let's observe the situation first."

Leo Ray gestured with his hand, signaling everyone to prepare for battle, and said, "As soon as that Spatial Magic Lock is lifted, we'll rush in immediately."

As our team stood poised and ready, the human-form Rosso was in an increasingly intense confrontation with the three Red Dragons.

Under the siege of three giant dragons, although Rosso narrowly evaded danger each time, he managed to barely escape from the claws and Dragon Breath of the opponents by relying on the agile human clan form.

Since the battle was right beside the hastily constructed Spatial Lock Magic Array, with Rosso deliberately drawing the fight towards it, the three henchmen's attacks frequently affected the Magic Array, causing one wave after another to ripple across the Defensive Barrier.

"Idiots, the Magic Array only has a temporary Defensive Barrier and can't withstand powerful attacks. If you attack it a few more times, you'll be shooting yourselves in the foot!"

Poluso's roar resounded as he was still undergoing the Magical Ley Lines' baptism, clearly unable to intervene directly.

However, as Rosso was only at the Tier 5 Level, while two of the other three giant dragons were clearly at Tier 6, even with their caution not to accidentally damage the Magic Array, the disparity in strength quickly became evident, taking less than half a minute.

"Rebel, perish!"

Seeing a Tier 6 henchman seize the moment, it swung its sharp claws and launched a fierce attack.

Just as the attack was about to land on Rosso, he timed it just right, accompanied by a flash of bright light, and transformed back into his dragon form, using the momentum to ram into the opponent's massive body from the side.

The claws of the Tier 6 henchman tore through layers of dragon scales, leaving a long gash on Rosso's body, but due to Rosso's sudden impact, the force of the blow fell entirely on the defensive barrier of the Magic Array.

Crash!

The crisp sound of shattering glass rang out as the already fragile Defensive Barrier and several Magic Crystals embedded at the center of the Twisted Space Lock Magic Array fractured entirely. In the next second, the Twisted Space Lock, once emanating a dangerous aura, vanished without a trace.

"Let's rush in!"

Seeing the spatial gateway unobstructed, Leo Ray took the lead, charging towards the makeshift Barrier Area with the other powerful individuals from our side.

"What a bunch of useless fools! I should have turned you all into puppets like those marionettes!"

Seeing Poluso's voice become increasingly irate, he shouted angrily, "Hurry up and kill that rebel for me!"

Upon hearing this, the three henchmen, realizing their blunder, shrank their necks and once again surged towards Rosso. Because Rosso's back was already severely injured, he had apparently lost the ability to transform and evade, and could only watch helplessly as it unfolded, unable to respond.

At this moment, two slender figures suddenly appeared beside Rosso; it was Jasper Richardson who had preemptively flashed over with Little Jie.

"Lord's Shelter!"

Accompanied by Little Jie's crisp voice, the Absolute Defense Barrier emerged, intercepting all the attacks from the three henchmen.

With their opponents frustrated, Leo Ray and the strong individuals from our side had rushed over.

"Despicable bastards, the blood debts you owe from back then should be repaid now!"

Serene and other dragons, also in dragon form, roared unanimously, overwhelming the three henchmen and pinning them to the ground.

Meanwhile, Leo Ray instructed Elder Bing and others to provide support, while he led other strong individuals to Rosso's side.

"Why, why did you save me?"

Seeing Leo Ray's figure, Rosso, now collapsed on the ground, barely lifted his head and asked him.

"You paved the way for us with your own body, so naturally I wanted to return the favor."

Leo Ray nodded slightly, instructed Little Moon to treat him.

Leo Ray understood clearly that despite his frequent harsh words, this guy had never caused any actual harm to our side.

Furthermore, according to Serene and other dragons, during their first encounter with him, he had clearly gone easy, which allowed us to fully concentrate on dealing with the Malevolent Deity's Chosen Son.

As for the second encounter when he threatened the Shadow Market's Administrator, looking back now, perhaps he had recognized our connection with the Shadow Market and had used a threatening tone to warn us that the culprit planned to act against the Human Clan after the Coronation Ceremony.

From this, it wasn't hard to see that he was more of an asset to our side than anything, and so naturally, Leo Ray couldn't stand by and let him die.

"Rosso, why did you help us?"

Next to them, Hongye couldn't hold back any longer and blurted out.

"Because Poluso has always been my enemy too."

Rosso responded breathlessly, "Back then, I watched as my father, who had refused to join Poluso, was turned into a puppet, courtesy of the mastermind and his minions implanting a purple eye within him, causing him to lose his mind and be manipulated at will. It wasn't just my father, but other elders in the tribe as well."

"No wonder the mastermind gathered so many accomplices at the time; it turns out it was because parts of the dragons were controlled by 'Corrosion'?"

Upon hearing this, Hongye nodded thoughtfully while giving Rosso several Healing Magic Potions as per Leo Ray's instruction.

Reflecting on it, many of the attackers on that night of ruin indeed appeared terrifying and were unable to communicate or feel pain.

Moreover, given Poluso's status and renown at the time, it seemed unlikely he could amass so many powerful dragon allies willing to serve him; seen in this light, everything makes sense.

"So, my family didn't side with Poluso nor trample on our family honor, but became manipulated pawns, and my father didn't strike you out of his own will."

Rosso continued with an apologetic tone towards Hongye, "Seeing all of this firsthand, I decided to seek out and approach Poluso."

"After that night of destruction, his influence grew stronger. I had no choice but to bow my head and act as a compliant henchman to get close to him and find an opportunity to strike back."

Rosso then looked at Leo Ray and continued, "Your Majesty of the Humans, ever since our first meeting at the Royal Capital, I saw a glimmer of hope in you, a hope capable of shaking his throne. My previous rude remarks were only to trick Poluso's other minions; I ask for your pardon, Human Majesty."

"You've exaggerated, Your Excellency, for enduring so much humiliation for centuries only to pave the way for us in the end. I am all the more grateful to you and would never blame you."

Waving his hand, Leo Ray then nodded at Rosso, "Just focus on recovering. Leave the rest to us."

Then, Leo Ray began reassessing the current state of the battle.

With our superior combat power and the fierce vengeance of Serene and the other dragons, the three henchmen were soon brought down, their pained howls drowned in the rising Dragon Breath.

"Now only the mastermind remains."

Amid the group of powerful individuals, Leo Ray walked through the lingering smoke, leading them straight to the space's end.

Yet what met our side was the increasingly enraged roar of the opponent, "A bunch of ants, don't think you can shake me like this! This Dragon Nest is filled with dragons loyal to me; you will all perish here eventually!"

"That may not be the case."

Leo Ray's voice echoed in the heated space, exuding indisputable authority, "Once you're taken care of, the New King can be crowned. Their obedience isn't for you but the unearned crown on your forehead. In the end, you are nothing more than a puppet yourself, yet still audaciously trying to control others, utterly laughable."

"Let's see if you have what it takes!"

Poluso's enraged roar echoed as the entire space became filled with murderous intent.
