In a heavily guarded secret room in Dawang Casino, Ma Rufei and Chen Chaoyue looked especially miserable. They were battered and bruised, the bones in their hands and feet had been broken, and they were shackled to an iron pillar with chains.
"This time, we're really done for," Ma Rufei said despairingly. "Even my master doesn't have the power to save us."
"If Brother Bin asks the Daoyi Sect for help, their experts might come to rescue us," Chen Chaoyue said. "Don't despair."
"The Daoyi Sect? Don't even think about it," Ma Rufei said angrily. "That's a sect that only acts when there's a profit to be made. They took my master's Flying Sword and Spiritual Medicine and even auctioned off his sword. If my master goes to them for help, they'll devour him whole. This is the Island Nation, not our home country. What scruples would they have here?"
"So we're just going to die young?" Chen Chaoyue said in dismay.
"Not necessarily," Ma Rufei said. "At worst, we'll compensate them a few hundred million USD. I think they'll let us go then."
"I'm afraid they might kill us to silence us," Chen Chaoyue said.
"That depends on how smart my master is," Ma Rufei said. "If he isn't clever and comes to save us, we'll all die here. However, if my master doesn't come, they'll be out of options. As long as we compensate them, they won't kill us. After all, they can't catch my master, so they'll be worried about the incident getting out later."
"Damn it, we really screwed up this time. We had it so good before, sightseeing with beautiful women... and now we're trapped here, beaten to a pulp," Chen Chaoyue said, wincing in pain.
"Damn right," Ma Rufei added angrily. "As long as we get out of this alive, we have to kill those bastards."
"Two idiots, still dreaming of living? Let me tell you, by tomorrow you'll be corpses, food for the turtles. Our boss isn't afraid of your revenge. We have our ways of catching that other bastard." CLANG! The door was thrown open, and eight burly men walked in. Each one held a blood-stained whip, and their leader spoke with a vicious sneer.
"Tell us where you're from and give us that man's name, or we'll chop you into pieces right now!" another burly man sneered, whipping them relentlessly.
The rest of the men also raised their whips, swinging them wide as they took turns lashing the two captives.
CRACK! CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!
Soon, their skin was split open and they were covered in blood.
"Aaargh! You bastards! Every one of you will die a horrible death!" the two men screamed in grief and fury, but they refused to confess.
Finally, the eight men grew tired and stopped. They sneered for a while before leaving, shutting the door tightly behind them.
The door was a foot-thick slab of solid iron, and the walls were exceptionally sturdy. There was only a single, fist-sized window. Outside the door, dozens of incredibly strong experts were stationed. Most of them were Liquid State Cultivators, with some S-Class Ability Users and Genetically Enhanced Humans as well. Ambushes were set up elsewhere, and with a Gold Core Realm Initial Stage expert personally overseeing the situation, this place was as dangerous as a dragon's den or a tiger's lair. Rescuing someone from here would be harder than climbing to the heavens.
"It's over... we're really finished this time," Ma Rufei said weakly. "I forgot we were in the Island Nation. The people here are too savage. There's no way out for us."
"It seems we're really going to die here," Chen Chaoyue added glumly. "I just hope Brother Bin can avenge us. Otherwise, I won't be able to rest in peace."
"We won't let them off, even as ghosts," Ma Rufei said through clenched teeth.
"Too bad even ghosts would be powerless against them," Chen Chaoyue sighed.
"You two idiots. You can't even become ghosts, because I won't allow it." Suddenly, Zhang Bin's voice echoed in the secret chamber.
"Am I hallucinating? I think I heard Brother Bin's voice," Chen Chaoyue said in astonishment.
"Me too... How did I hear Master's voice?" Ma Rufei said.
Puzzled, they both struggled to raise their heads and look toward the source of the sound. Then they saw him. Zhang Bin was standing perfectly still in a corner of the secret chamber, holding a finger to his lips in a gesture for silence.
The two of them were completely dumbfounded, their faces etched with disbelief. How is this possible? How could it be? When did Zhang Bin get in? How did he not alert any of the enemies? There are so many elite experts guarding the outside, and even a Golden Core Realm Cultivator is on watch!
Zhang Bin quietly waited there for a while before suddenly darting behind Ma Rufei in the blink of an eye. Ma Rufei used to be a big fatty. Even after losing weight, he was still quite large, making it easy for Zhang Bin to hide behind him where guards couldn't see him from the window.
"Master, how on earth did you get in here?" Ma Rufei asked in a shocked whisper, and Chen Chaoyue pricked up his ears to listen.
"No more questions. I'll heal you first." After speaking, Zhang Bin began to channel his Longevity Qi to treat Ma Rufei and Chen Chaoyue. Since they were bound together, it was easy for him to treat them both at the same time, one with each hand.
Their injuries were severe, with multiple broken bones in their arms and legs. An ordinary doctor would have been helpless, but for Zhang Bin, it was a simple matter. He had them drink half a bottle of diluted Spiritual Water to restore their strength. At the same time, he set their bones and used his Longevity Qi to stimulate rapid cell division and healing.
In just twenty minutes, the two had completely recovered. They even felt stronger than they were before. Once again, they were left in awe of Zhang Bin's miraculous healing skills, which were truly without equal.
Zhang Bin then took out his Flying Sword and severed their chains. However, the two of them continued to act as if they were still bound to avoid alerting the guards outside.
"Master, there's no way we can escape," Ma Rufei said nervously. "The enemy is too strong. They've set a powerful trap just for you. Why were you so foolish as to come?"
"He's right, Brother Bin. You've walked right into their trap," Chen Chaoyue added. "You should stop worrying about us. If you can get away, just go. Just remember to avenge us later."
Zhang Bin was touched. These two knuckleheads could be real pains in the ass, and they were certainly lecherous, but they were true brothers, the kind worth having for a lifetime.
He smiled faintly and said, "Relax, we can get out of here. There are too many beautiful women out there waiting for us to corrupt them. We can't possibly die young."
"Then how do we escape? Did you bring backup?" Ma Rufei asked, hope dawning on both their faces.
"No backup," Zhang Bin said. "Just the three of us."
"Then do you have a plan?" Chen Chaoyue asked, his voice still hopeful even as disappointment filled his and Ma Rufei's faces.
"A plan?" Zhang Bin said, his voice brimming with killing intent. "There is no plan. We're fighting our way out."
