The Ultimate Divine Class

Chapter 184: Reunion Candy Box_2

"...Because of your outstanding performance, you've caught the attention of a highly esteemed figure within the Yellow Bear organization. I'm going to take you to meet her now. Before that, there are a few things you need to be aware of.

1. She is very sensitive to smells and detests any kind of body odor, so it would be better for you to take a shower first...."

"But I just took a shower..."

Lu Yuan paused, unconsciously moving his arm towards Xiao Rui.

"Smell it. There's no odor, right?"

Xiao Rui blushed slightly and nodded. "I know, but the fragrance of shower gel and shampoo also counts as an unwanted scent. You should wash again later with something unscented..."

"Alright."

What kind of weird quirk is this? She can't even handle the smell of shampoo. Doesn't this important person bathe at all? Lu Yuan mused, his mind drifting to the woman in the Crow Dreamscape who was constantly washing her hair.

"2. She doesn't like being interrupted when she's talking. When you're conversing with her, remember not to interrupt. Don't bring any communication devices like mobile phones inside.

3. She doesn't like being rejected. Remember, no matter what she asks you to do after meeting her, just do it.

4. ..."

Xiao Rui rattled off about a dozen points to note, making Lu Yuan a bit irritated. She then had him repeat them all to ensure he truly remembered everything.

After all this, Lu Yuan couldn't help but ask, "Xiao Rui, who exactly is this important person you're talking about? And is she a man or a woman? What's her name?"

"This person holds a very high status; she's one of the highest-ranking individuals within the Yellow Bear organization. I am a Gold Bear, and above me, there are several ranks of Flying Bear Generals. Her status... is even above the top-ranked Flying Bear Generals..."

"She's a woman. Her name is..." Xiao Rui paused for a moment, then finally, slowly said to Lu Yuan, "Yu Wentong."

"Yu Wentong."

Lu Yuan murmured the name, blinking. Out of the corner of his eye, he glanced at the towering, silver-white towers outside the Fly Shuttle's window.

"Are you ready?" Xiao Rui asked Lu Yuan, standing in front of a giant, silver door that reached almost to the ceiling.

Lu Yuan exhaled lightly onto his palm, then sniffed his armpits to confirm there was no scent before nodding. "I should be ready."

Xiao Rui smiled. "Actually, you don't have to be so nervous. Lord Tong is quite good-tempered and always looks out for her subordinates. And I think..."

Xiao Rui sized up the freshly groomed Lu Yuan, a peculiar light flickering in her beautiful eyes. "Lord Tong should like you. Men who look like you without any genetic modification... are rare."

"Hopefully," Lu Yuan sighed.

He knew he was handsome, but what if Lord Tong wasn't swayed by good looks?

Lu Yuan hadn't expected his earlier premonition to come true. He was now truly standing in one of the six towering, silver-white towers at the very heart of the Sum Nation—at the very top.

It had taken a long time for Xiao Rui's Fly Shuttle to arrive. The "Sky River," the Sum Nation's most iconic and magnificent Fly Shuttle, and the view of the steel sky—both symbols of the entire nation—were now beneath his feet.

This place was truly amidst the clouds.

HISS—

Xiao Rui operated something outside the great silver door. Immediately, the giant silver doors slid open to both sides.

Xiao Rui gave Lu Yuan a look. Understanding her cue, Lu Yuan slowly walked in.

The space inside the great silver door was large. Very large, and exceptionally spacious.

The first thing Lu Yuan saw was an exceptionally blue sky, and beneath it, a magnificent ocean of clouds stretching out in layers.

With fewer clouds to filter it, the sunlight here was much brighter than anywhere else. Golden sunlight streamed in through the completely transparent, panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, almost blindingly so.

Lu Yuan recalled Xiao Rui telling him that Lord Tong loved bright, sunny days.

So she decided to live above the clouds, just so she'd never see rain? Lu Yuan thought.

Turning his head, he saw a large, long azure table at the far end of the room. Faint sounds drifted from behind it.

Lu Yuan's expression flickered slightly as he began walking in that direction.

As he drew closer, the sound became clearer.

It sounded familiar... but he couldn't quite place it.

Finally, Lu Yuan reached the long, blue table and got a clear view of the scene.

The long, blue table held seven or eight virtual screens, five of which were illuminated. A girl with remarkably fair and smooth skin, wearing an oversized white t-shirt and black-rimmed glasses, her hair tied in a bun, sat cross-legged in a large chair.

A large pink keyboard rested on her lap, and her fingers were clattering away happily.

Lu Yuan's first reaction was disbelief. This disbelief deepened when he realized that all five screens in front of the girl were displaying the same MOBA-style Mecha game.

Lord Tong? Playing games? An internet-addicted girl?

Lu Yuan blinked, feeling as if all his preconceptions had shattered. The hundred opening lines and conversation strategies he had mentally prepared were now useless.

He opened his mouth but didn't know what to say.

Just then, the good-looking girl, who appeared to be around Lu Jing's age, glanced at him and said, "You're here. Hang on, I'll be done soon."

"Oh, okay." Lu Yuan nodded mechanically.

He then noticed that the game character the girl was controlling was about to destroy the enemy base's crystal.

On closer inspection, he realized she was controlling all five game characters on her team by herself.

Her gaze constantly switched between the five screens, her slender fingers dancing across the keyboard faster than lightning.

Lu Yuan even saw that while she controlled five characters and crushed the opponents across four lanes simultaneously, she could still occasionally alt-tab out of the game to chat with several different people on a messaging app...

Good heavens! What kind of top-tier processor was installed in her brain!

Lu Yuan watched, utterly stunned. Suddenly, the girl with the bun tossed something to him.

"Here, have some snacks if you're bored."

Lu Yuan caught the object: a palm-sized candy box.

Xiao Rui had said he shouldn't refuse any of her offers. Dutifully, Lu Yuan prepared to open the box and eat a candy as a sign of respect.

But when he opened the box... his hands trembled violently, and he nearly dropped it.

Inside the candy box lay... seven or eight thumb-sized, crimson beads, like the eyes of a crow. They were identical to the Red Beads Lu Yuan had obtained from the Divine Servant of the Crow God Sect!
