I Am The Only Witch Hunter

Chapter 191: Panther's Bones

Siderius placed the Mana Core closer to the two pieces of bone. Immediately, the bones stuck onto the Mana Core and began to attach themselves together.

Not only that, nerves started to grow on the surface of the bone. The bone grew longer, seemingly wanting to form an entire new panther.

"Hmmm." Siderius pulled the bones away but it was no use. A physical dark strand reached out from the Mana Core and kept the bone sticking to it.

"<Dispell>"

Siderius flexed his left hand, summoning the silver bracer. He drew the <Dispellera> sigil in the air. The sigil immediately disrupted the Magic inside the Mana Core. The dark strand pulled back and released its grasp on the bone.

The piece of bone fell to the ground, blood was sticking on it.

"Interesting. The Mana Core acts like a source of power. These Chaos Beasts aren't just feeding off of Magic. Magic is their life force.

But I do wonder where the regenerative ability is coming from. Is it coming from the Core? Or is it coming from the bone? There is only one way to find out."

Siderius went to the underground hideout and took out a barrel of rice wine. He had made a lot of different alcohol and stored them in the wine cellar for future uses. Rice wine had the most amount because of its role in healing tonic.

Siderus still had some Zinc leftover from the last time he made Flesh Restoration. But those were the last.

"I should visit Nadia soon…"

With the Zinc, rice wine and Panther bones, Siderius made a small batch of Bone Restoration Tonic. He didn't know whether it had this capability or not. He simply tried his best to mix the elements together.

In the end, he created a dense milk-like tonic with unknown effect.

Siderius took some animal bones to test the tonic ability. He dripped a few droplets onto the broken parts of the bone and observed its effect.

The bone healed itself quickly and used up all the energy in the droplets.

"The bone does have a regenerative ability!

It can heal broken bones for sure. But can it regrow bone?"

Siderius used the tonic on a broken bone this time. It healed the wounded section of the bone but did not regrow the missing parts.

"It's working like a common Bone Restoration. No bone regrowth. Now I need to test if it has any side effects on a living being."

Siderius went out of the hideout and quickly caught a squirrel. He broke its legs then fed it the Bone Restoration Tonic. The bone healed fast and after a few minutes, the squirrel was able to run around again.

Siderius observed it for a few hours but no side effect was visible.

"Seems safe enough…"

It was at this time that Lycan appeared out of nowhere and snatched the captive squirrel. It ate the entire squirrel in one go and gulped it down. The wolverine must have thought the squirrel was an intruder.

Siderius didn't stop it and continued observing. Lycan was perfectly fine after consuming the squirrel.

He waited for a few more hours to see if there's anything happening. It would take a few hours for Lycan to digest the squirrel after all.

Nothing happened at all.

Siderius whistled and Lycan quickly dashed to his position. Its mouth was opened wide with the tongue out when it's running.

"You slowly look more and more like a dog."

Siderius fed Lycan the Bone Restoration Tonic also. He had always fed it all kinds of experiments. If Lycan was fine, most of the time the Tonic was safe.

If there's anything wrong, Siderius could also safely extract the Tonic anyway. He had the tools and materials to do so.

Night fell and Ashe returned from her hunting trip. She carried four big boar quarters on her back and held a boar hide bundle in her hands.

"I caught one, Master!"

"You sure are efficient."

Siderius was playing with Lycan when Ashe came back. The wolverine seemed fine and showed no negative effect at all. Siderius decided that the Night Panther was safe to use as an ingredient for the Bone Restoration Tonic.

He took the boar hide from Ashe and examined it.

"This is a great piece of boar hide. Very durable. It was processed carefully. Nicely done, my apprentice."

Ashe opened her big eyes and looked at Siderius like a puppy. "Can I have my uniform tomorrow, Master?"

Siderius smiled gently. "Tomorrow? I will make the uniform for you now. We can make your armor tomorrow."

"Yay!" Ashe jumped in joy. But she quickly changed her expression and recomposed herself. "I meant… Thank you, Master!"

Siderius chuckled lightly. He placed the boar and deer hide on the ground.

A Transformation Seal was drawn.

"I need your body parameters, Ashe."

"Oh… Should I… Should I get naked?"

Siderius flicked her forehead, leaving a red mark in the middle of it. "Stop thinking of these stupid ideas. Get me your clothes for reference."

"Yes, Master…"

With Ashe's clothes, he was able to learn the sizes needed to make. There was one problem however. She had no pants.

Siderius covered his face briefly. Without Alchemy, the clothing technology of this world was very behind. Women still wore dresses or skirts exclusively. Even working women. They would wear a shorter, more loose dress for physical labor.

"Get me a piece of rope. I need to measure your lower body."

"Why, Master? Isn't my dress sufficient?"

"Dress is no clothing of a witch hunter. You will wear pants."

"But, Master… Women do not wear pants…"

Siderius raised an eyebrow. Ashe clamped her mouth shut immediately and went to get some rope. Siderius used the rope as a replacement for a measuring tape. Luckily he could estimate the measurements pretty well with his head.

Ashe was blushing throughout the situation even though Siderius didn't even do anything preposterous.

But he soon found out the issue. His hand froze in mid-air before he was able to measure her body.

To make the pants, he needed to measure girth, length, depth, and rise for Ashe. He couldn't do any of that while she's wearing a dress.

Another problem introduced itself. Women in this world didn't wear pants. The need for a piece of undergarment was also absent.

"Master… Is something wrong?"

"..."

Siderius stayed silent. Snow grew up with women all around him. He knew for sure that women of this world didn't have lower-body undergarments. For that reason, he couldn't tell Ashe to remove the dress either.

The vengeful hunter let out a huge breath then stood up.

"For your honor, you will have to do the measuring yourself. I'm going to show you how to do it. Learn it and measure yourself."

Siderius showed Ashe how to take the measurements by measuring himself. He was wearing pants so it was easy to show her. Still, embarrassment was unavoidable when he showed her how to measure the crotch depth.
