Extra's Path To Demon King

Chapter 303: Demon’s Smile…

A gargantuan killing intent pressed onto the very soul of the Dragon prince, even the bloodline of the once strongest dragon in existence shuddered in terror as the death cries of billions of living beings seemed to resound in Lucien's soul, a tale of such brutal slaughter that even the mightiest dragon paled in the face of such cruelty. He hurriedly snapped out of that state, and his face went pale in terror. All the hair on Lucien's body stood on end.

The fear in his eyes was overwhelming, but with gritted teeth, he suppressed those emotions; the arrogance inherently present in the dragon bloodline instantly filled him with pride and strength as he looked towards the individual who manifested from the darkness itself. It was Sophia Evercrest. Even at this moment, he could not help but be mesmerized by her deadly beauty for a fraction of a second. But when his eyes landed on her bloody eyes, her pupils were narrowed to a black slit, and the fury contained in those eyes was boundless.

He involuntarily took a step back, but Sophia's grip on his hand did not loosen. Sophia wasn't even looking at him. Her eyes remained fixed on the bloody and half-dead body of Axel Nomrad. Lucien frowned in displeasure, "Sophia? What's wrong with you? Why are you here?"

But the valkyrie didn't seem to hear the words of the prince, and the bloodlust pressing on Lucien had decreased significantly by now. A work of the summoning brand on her soul, most definitely, it doesn't allow any extreme action against the royal bloodline of the Suncrest. Lucien spoke again in fury, "Sophia, don't interfere. You have no idea what this bastard did, I must kill him right here and now.....and….."

CRACK...…..

The prince couldn't even finish the rest of his sentence as a clear cracking sound resounded in his ears. A piercing pain came from his hand where Sophia was grabbing. He saw in horror as the bone in his wrist snapped in two as if it were made of cardboard. Before he could even react to the pain, a powerful kick landed on his chest, which broke multiple of his ribcages and sent him flying more than 20 meters away. Sophia's speed was so fast, and her strength was so great that he couldn't react to it; it all happened in an instant. Lucien crashed into a tree trunk at a distance and coughed up a mouthful of blood.

Sophia could barely contain her anger toward the prince, but the brand on her soul wouldn't let her do anything significant to him. She was already feeling boundless pain burning through her very soul. With gritted teeth, she controlled her anger. Bend down and help Axel sit up straight, who was lying on the ground with a lost expression, barely conscious. She could tell that he was almost close to death. Lucien Suncrest had targeted his organs in a manner that they would all fail slowly and surely.

She asked Axel in a pained voice, "What the fuck is wrong with you? Why must you deliberately put yourself in danger again and again? Why? Just why? Why? Why? Why?"

There was a desperation behind her voice, but there was no response from his side, obviously. With a sigh, she brought out another of the golden colored vials filled with shining, viscous golden liquid. She poured the contents of it all in Axel's mouth as he visibly began to recover. She heaved a sigh of relief, seeing him recover from all those life-threatening injuries, even his internal organs were returning to normal.

But Sophia could see the overall weakness within him remained. No, it had become even more prevalent. Axel was now even weaker than before. Before, he could express 30% of his full prowess, but now it was probably around 20% or less. Sophia snapped her fingers slightly, and a wave of darkness washed away all the blood, grime, and dirt on his body. He was all clean again, and Axel's eyes regained a trace of clarity.

For a moment, he showed a surprised look as he saw Sophia; she was looking at him with a mix of anger, pain, and disappointment. Axel hurriedly went forward and instantly hugged her tightly. Axel apologized to her, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I put myself in danger again. I'm really sorry. I promise I won't do it again."

She did not respond but only hugged him in return. Axel ran his hand over her back to reassure her that everything was okay. She hugged him even more tightly. It was almost as if a little girl was scared of losing her most precious belonging.

Lucien, from afar, barely managed to get up with a painful grunt. He had also drunk the same Golden Vial of potion to recover himself instantly from the severe injury inflicted by Sophia, but as he saw in the distance what was happening, his mind went blank. Sophia was sitting on Axel's lap. Both of them were hugging each other very intimately. His eyes met Axel's ocean blue eyes.

Axel smiled at him, and his hand wrapped around Sophia's waist very tightly, bringing her even closer to him. Axel Nomrad was embracing her in a manner that was borderline inappropriate. Sophia seemed to move uncomfortably and became as shy as a kitten all of a sudden.

Then he saw Axel's smile continuing to widen until it became the grin of a devil, a devil whose plan had just succeeded. His lips moved silently, but no sound came out of them, yet Lucien could automatically distinguish what he said, as the words appeared in his mind, 'She's mine.'

A monstrous shout came out of his mouth unknowingly, "YOU DAMN FUCKING WHORE…..I'LL KILL YOU…."

Axel's smile grew darker, 'Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, Lucien fucking Suncrest. Rage more. RAGE YOU DAMN GOLDEN SPOONED LIZARD'

Sophia stopped hugging him and gently separated. She placed both of her soft hands on his cheek and said softly, "You stay here and don't move. I will take care of the trash. Okay?"

Axel nodded obediently, forgetting about Lucien entirely, and became lost in her beauty, her monstrous eyes narrowed to slits; it was an indication of the fact that she was barely containing her rage. Anyone else would feel pure terror at seeing those inhumane eyes. But to him, strangely, they only looked so much more beautiful. He couldn't help but say it with genuine adoration, "You know, your eyes are beautiful."

Sophia's neutral expression cracked as her eyes widened, a memory of the distant past resurfacing in her mind, just like when they had first met as kids. He had said that her eyes were beautiful, and he repeated those very words. She was utterly taken aback; her face turned red with shyness, and possessive greed gleamed in her eyes as she stared at him incomprehensively. Axel only chuckled at her dumbfounded look. He smiled at her, tilting his head, "Didn't you say you had trash to take out?"

Sophia got up from his lap hurriedly, embarrassment written all over her face. But as soon as she turned, her face hardened to a cold expression.

Lucien Suncrest was coming towards the two of them, his eyes blazing in murderous hatred. He spat. Of course, he did not miss the loving exchange between Sophia and Axel Nomrad. He roared like a beast, "VALKYRIE, YOU BETTER FUKCING EXPLAIN WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING? AND HOW DARE YOU ATTACK ME? DID YOU FORGET WHAT MY MOTHER DID FOR YOU AND WHAT WE DID FOR YOU? While you were in the palace, helpless."

"AND DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THIS BASTARD DID TO LUMINA? SHE ALMOST DIED BECAUSE OF THIS BASTARDS SCHEMES."

Sophia, indifferent to the enraged prince's chatter, coated both palms with the darkness attributed saint force and dashed forward like a cannonball launched from a canon itself. Grabbing the face of Lucien, she slammed him into the ground with such colossal force that the ground itself shook from the force of impact. Sophia stated nonchalantly, "Does it look like I give a fuck?"
