The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 69: It Really Broke

"So, you see~ I went easy on him, just teaching Xiong's underling a lesson!" Lin Tian stifled his laughter.

"Aren't you going to scram?" Da Xiong was so angry his lungs were about to explode.

The young man with the dragon tattoo on his face looked thoroughly aggrieved, shot a furious glare at Lin Tian, and retreated holding his swollen right cheek.

"Let's pretend this never happened, okay?" Mei Ruyan sat up in the middle to mediate.

"That's not happening!" Da Xiong chuckled, "These employees have been with me from the start. If they get bullied outside and I, as the boss, don't stand up for them, it'd break their hearts!"

"What do you propose then?" Lin Tian initially wanted to get closer and let this slide, but it seemed the other party wasn't willing to let go so easily.

"How about this~ This matter is neither big nor small. Let's be fair and play a game. If you lose, you apologize to my two subordinates. If you win, it's all over, and it'll be an explanation to my people!" Da Xiong thought long and hard and came up with a brilliant idea.

"What game are we playing?" Mei Ruyan was the first to ask.

"How about arm wrestling?" Da Xiong stood up and waved to someone in the distance. Soon, a young man, about 160cm tall, wearing a vest, with arms thicker than his legs, ran over: "What's up, Xiong?"

"How about it?" Da Xiong looked at Lin Tian.

Lin Tian glanced at the person standing in front of him and thought to himself, "This game is clearly meant for me to lose~!"

Comparing arms, the other party's arm was obviously thicker than Lin Tian's by a margin, the outcome seemed clear.

"Why don't you just ask Lin Tian to apologize? Why get such a sturdy person to play?" Mei Ruyan, quick-witted, blurted out.

"That's not necessarily the case. No one knows the outcome until the game ends. What if the person I found is all show but no substance?" Da Xiong still tried to justify his decision.

"Come on~ I haven't done arm wrestling in ages. Last time, I broke the other person's arm!" Lin Tian said as he got up to stretch his body.

With some neck tugs and hip twists, Lin Tian started warming up.

As for what he said, everyone who heard it just chuckled and took it as boasting.

"Are you sure you want to play?" Mei Ruyan thought Lin Tian was a bit silly; knowing well that it was a setup, yet he was jumping right in, and couldn't be stopped!

"Why not play?" After finishing his warm-up, Lin Tian looked at Da Xiong: "Where are we doing this?"

"Just on this table!" Da Xiong cleared the beer bottles off the table, making space.

Their right elbows rested on the table, hands tightly gripping each other's, as they began to probe.

Hand against hand, Lin Tian felt the other person increasingly exerting pressure on his wrist, seemingly wanting to intimidate him.

Lin Tian's lips curled into a sly smile as he took a deep breath, steadily increasing the power in his right hand.

"Start!" With Da Xiong's command, the arm wrestling match officially began.

At the word "start," one could visibly see the bulging veins on their arms.

"Go for it!" Fueled by alcohol, Mei Ruyan started cheering.

"Give it some force!" The guy sitting across from Lin Tian looked composed, still managing to mock him a little.

Lin Tian initially wanted to gauge the other's strength, but didn't expect to be ridiculed.

How can this be tolerated?

Immediately channeling the Tyrant Emperor's Record, a powerful force surged through his body.

With a slight exertion of his right arm, Lin Tian's expression remained relaxed, while the other guy's tightly pursed lips hinted at his struggle.

"Going the other way now?" Lin Tian loved using one's own words against them.

He mocked me, now it's my turn to ridicule him.

"Mm~!" A stretched sound escaped the opponent's mouth as Lin Tian suddenly felt his right arm being pushed a bit the other way.

With a bit more force, Lin Tian's arm returned to its original position: "Is that all you've got?"

The two exchanged secret moves, but Da Xiong and Mei Ruyan on the side watched intently as if their lives depended on it.

Unexpectedly, in a situation where everyone thought Lin Tian would be defeated right away, he persisted for almost a minute. What did that imply?

Da Xiong knew well whom he had summoned— a sports school graduate majoring in weightlifting, whose arm strength was no joke. Even two people arm wrestling against him might not win.

Yet against Lin Tian, this weak-looking youth turned out to be a worthy opponent?

Could it be true that he's all show but no substance?

"Da Xiong, the guy you called is really all show but no substance, huh?" Mei Ruyan's beautiful eyes sparkled with surprise at Lin Tian's unexpected performance.

"Come on~ faster!"

"Didn't you eat? No strength at all?"

"I can't even feel your strength!"

Lin Tian endlessly rattled on like a chattering woman, his words full of sarcasm.

Yet, the opponent had no way out; no matter how much force he exerted, Lin Tian's wrist remained unwavering, gradually eroding his confidence.

"Xiong, the guy you found really is all show but no substance, huh?" Lin Tian made sure to add a couple of digs at Da Xiong.

"Can you even do it?" Da Xiong grew increasingly annoyed; he thought he'd devised a brilliant plan, yet it led to complications again.

"No problem!"

"Talking while arm wrestling!" Lin Tian was waiting for this moment; arm wrestling, in essence, was about holding one's breath.

Holding that breath increased strength, whereas in the instant of exhaling and gasping for air, one's physical strength would diminish.

Suddenly, Lin Tian exerted force, and the previously balanced wrists suddenly tipped to one side, slamming into the table with a thud, knocking over the empty beer bottles on top.

"Ah~!" A cry of agony erupted, as the person arm wrestling with Lin Tian's right arm twisted oddly starting from the elbow.

"Did it really break?" Everyone watching the arm wrestling was shocked; they had initially thought Lin Tian was bragging, yet he really could break an arm.

"Oops, sorry for being too heavy-handed! Are you okay?" Lin Tian played innocent, showing apparent concern for the other person.

"Someone get him out of here, seriously embarrassing!" Da Xiong watched as another person went down; he was livid!

But there was nothing he could do against Lin Tian, which only increased his frustration…

"Xiong, I won the game, so we're squared about earlier, right?" Lin Tian worried he might go back on his word.

"We're squared~ Everyone below saw the result. It's not that I wouldn't stand up for them, it's just they don't have the capability!" Da Xiong had to put on a smile, albeit one that resembled crying more than laughter.

"I feel I owe Da Xiong today, causing so many troubles!"

"But as they say, you don't get to know someone until you fight with them. Let's have a drink!" Lin Tian showed a mischievous grin and raised a bottle of beer to toast Da Xiong.

"Good one, you don't get to know someone until you fight with them. I'll have one with you!" Da Xiong, looking displeased, picked up a beer.

Another bottle was downed, and Lin Tian's stomach couldn't handle it anymore, almost reaching his throat, so he quickly lit up a cigarette to suppress it.

Da Xiong initially wanted to rest a bit longer, but his phone suddenly rang. He took it out and glanced at the name on the screen, then smiled at Mei Ruyan: "You guys have fun, I'll take this call!"
