The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 39: All In

"Hey~ Not much, just two million!" Lin Tian said while boldly opening the suitcase.

Inside the suitcase, stacks of neatly arranged red banknotes filled the eyes of everyone around the table.

Good heavens, money, a suitcase full of it.

This young man is wealthy, from a rich family, a second-generation rich, a tycoon, successful at a young age.

For a moment, Lin Tian was labeled with all sorts of tags in the minds of the others.

"Two million!" Green rubbed his hands together, "Why don't we play a few rounds, little brother?"

"Sure, let's play a couple of rounds!" Lin Tian gestured to the beautiful waitress beside him, "Exchange it all for chips for me!"

"Certainly, sir!" The waitress smiled slightly and left with the suitcase, returning shortly with a platter.

"Sir, here are your chips!" The waitress placed the platter in front of Lin Tian.

"Just this?" Lin Tian's eyes nearly popped out looking at the platter, which contained only twenty chips.

That's two million in cash, exchanged for only twenty plastic pieces!!!

"Sir, you must be new to our tea house; each chip here is worth one hundred thousand!" The waitress explained with a smile.

"Oh!" Lin Tian nodded, roughly understanding that each plastic piece had a large denomination.

At that moment, Green suddenly spoke, "Friend, I'll place my bet first!"

"One hundred thousand!" Green casually tossed a chip into the center of the table.

"Ah!" Lin Tian gasped; are these people all so rich?

Just a casual toss of one hundred thousand!

After the initial shock, Lin Tian calmed himself and focused his eyes on Green.

It didn't matter before, but now seeing Green stunned Lin Tian.

Green was covered head to toe in poker cards.

He had two cards hidden in his left sleeve, three in his right, four around his belt.

Looking further down, even the central crotch area had a pile of poker cards covering the vital parts.

"This guy is really a master of cheating!" Lin Tian murmured inwardly, while outwardly picking up a chip from the platter and placing it on the table.

"I call!"

"I love playing with straightforward brothers like you!" Green gave Lin Tian a thumbs up and threw two chips onto the table with his free left hand.

"Feels like a setup, being lured in step by step!" Lin Tian furrowed his brows, thinking coldly and calmly.

The opponent is clearly skilled at cheating; although by current hand I would definitely win, if I make a big bet and he suddenly swaps cards, I'd certainly lose without question.

But if I don't call, it's a waste of ten thousand bucks this round, which seems a bit regrettable.

"What should I do?" Lin Tian fretted.

"What are you thinking about? A grown man scared to follow along?" Green saw Lin Tian spacing out and deliberately taunted him.

"I'm all in!" Suddenly, Lin Tian tossed all his chips out.

"What?" Green was dumbfounded by Lin Tian's sudden move, "What's going on with this guy?"

Is he really that confident to beat me?

"Do you dare to follow?" Lin Tian smiled slightly at Green after going all in.

"Why wouldn't I dare?" Green, provoked, was about to toss all his chips out.

But... Green had to face a reality.

The chips in front of him didn't come close to enough; only 1.2 million, counting the 300,000 already tossed, it was only 1.5 million.

He didn't have enough money to follow.

"What's the matter? Out of money?" Lin Tian saw Green's embarrassed look, "Need me to lend you some, brother?"

"Thank you for your goodwill!" Green replied politely, but inside he was smug; let this brother keep being arrogant for a while, soon all the money on the table will be mine!

"Miss, can you swipe for two million worth of chips for me?" Green took out his wallet and handed his card to the waitress.

Twenty chips were brought over, and Green tossed out a dozen, "I'm in!"

Looking at Lin Tian's empty platter, Green shrugged, "Do you still have chips then?"

"Of course I..." Lin Tian faced an issue now, thinking he could scare Green with the all-in gesture, not expecting this guy wasn't fazed at all.

Now Lin Tian had to face a reality where he had no money left; having gone all in with the two million, he was out of cash, yet the game continues.

Will I need to borrow some money from Shishi?

That's a bit inappropriate, right?

"Don't just stand there, go get more chips!" Green raised his head and reminded him.

"Alright!" Lin Tian nodded, ready to get up and find Shishi to borrow some money.

"Sir, here are your chips!" Just then, a waitress delivered a platter full of chips.

"What's this?" Lin Tian was a bit confused facing so many chips, what's going on?

"Your sister helped exchange five million worth of chips for you, and she says to play carefully!" The waitress emphasized the 'play carefully' portion.

"Sister?" Lin Tian was filled with question marks.

Since when did I have a sister?

His gaze glanced at the waitress's behind, spotting a surveillance camera in the corner aimed here.

Lin Tian suddenly realized, sister might just be a front, likely Mei Ruyan was watching through the cameras, sending over the chips via the waitress.

Unexplainably, Lin Tian felt a little warmth inside for that cold, prickly woman.

"Money is here, let's continue playing!" Lin Tian forgot all about Mei Ruyan's reminder to 'play carefully' as soon as he got the chips and placed a million immediately.

"Bastard, what a bastard!" Meanwhile, in the surveillance room, Mei Ruyan slammed the table watching this scene.

"If you dare lose, I'll chop you to pieces!" Mei Ruyan glared angrily at the screen.

Watching the calm and composed young man.

"The two of us have placed quite a lot of bets; everyone else has dropped out, shouldn't we reveal our hands now?" Green suggested, seeing the chips on Lin Tian's platter and realizing that dragging this on would put him at a disadvantage.

His bank card doesn't hold five million; he needs to win the money on the table to continue playing against Lin Tian.

"Alright then!" Lin Tian pointed at the chips on the table, "You follow with another million, and then we can reveal our hands!"

"Exchange more chips!" In no choice, Green again handed his card to the waitress to exchange chips.

Once Green followed with another million, it was now the most thrilling moment.

Chips worth six million now lay on the table, making this round a real high-stake gamble.

The table that originally had few people now quickly became surrounded by a crowd...
