The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 206: Strategic Retreat

"Is this dude Superman?" Lin Tian looked at the shadow in the sky incredulously.

If both rushed at him from the ground, Lin Tian still had some confidence to fend them off.

He needed to buy time for Wang Quan to escape, but what to do about the one flying in the sky?

What to do... what to do?

An endless stream of "what to do" flashed through Lin Tian's mind!

When you don't know what to do, just gotta wing it!!!

Meichuan Kuzi looked at Lin Tian in front of him, a malicious grin forming at the corner of his mouth. Soon, this arrogant bastard from the Celestial Dragon Continent would die by his blade.

For some reason, he especially enjoyed killing people from the Celestial Dragon Continent.

Always felt satisfying, inexplicably refreshing!!!

That's why Meichuan Kuzi always killed them decisively, without any hesitation.

It was obvious from the two warehouse guards he had killed.

Wing it? How?

Suddenly, Lin Tian turned and bolted.

Not just running himself, he grabbed Wang Quan and took off.

This scene left Meichuan Kuzi, who was just feeling smug, stunned on the spot.

What the hell?

Running away?

Even Meichuan Kuzi's companion, the shadow in the sky, was surprised and landed on the ground.

"People from the Celestial Dragon Continent are all cowards!" Meichuan Kuzi cursed furiously, then immediately started chasing Lin Tian with his companion.

Is Lin Tian really a coward?

The answer is definitely not!

The word coward didn't exist in Lin Tian's dictionary.

But why run away?

Running away?

Damn it, it's called a strategic retreat!

Retreating is to better preserve strength for the attack.

So this isn't running away; it's retreating!

Got to be precise with the terms. I'm not afraid of the Sakula Country people!

If it weren't for having to drag along the deadweight Wang Quan and keep him alive, Lin Tian wouldn't be so passive.

So, Lin Tian came up with this plan in a rush.

But clearly, running away isn't a realistic combat strategy. With Wang Quan as deadweight, outrunning the two behind isn't very feasible.

Lin Tian needed to come up with a tactical plan now.

Looking around Xinhai Port, what's the most abundant thing?

Containers were packed densely, and beyond the warehouse area, spread a vast port filled with numerous containers.

The containers were arranged in a dense maze-like pattern, almost a giant labyrinth.

The destination of Lin Tian's strategic retreat was here. The maze provided excellent cover for Wang Quan.

And he could play cat and mouse with the two guys using its concealment and transparency features.

At this stage, it was a matter of retreating as they advanced!!!

Lin Tian reached the container maze in one breath, gasping heavily. After all, he was sprinting with Wang Quan, who weighed over a hundred pounds.

"Run, don't worry about me. You're still young, don't lose your life over this!" Wang Quan said weakly, his leg bleeding profusely, his face pale.

"If you want to live, don't make a sound later!"

Seeing the blood trail, Lin Tian quickly took off his clothes and wrapped Wang Quan's leg wound.

Otherwise, they'd track them using the blood trail.

Wang Quan's face turned white with pain, yet he didn't utter a sound.

After dealing with it, Lin Tian squinted slightly, the entire port's routes unfolding clearly in his mind. He quickened his pace, weaving left and right in the containers, disappearing into the darkness...

Meichuan Kuzi and his companion tracked the blood to the container area, suddenly stopping in their tracks.

The blood trail had vanished.

"Seems this guy from the Celestial Dragon Continent isn't dumb," Meichuan Kuzi snorted coldly.

"Not dumb?" Meichuan's companion sneered, "Even if they covered up the blood, so what? Think we can't find them?"

"Just means they'll die a bit later; still fools in my opinion!"

"Haha, Naokawa, not wrong there!" Meichuan Kuzi laughed heartily and ordered, "You search from above, I'll track them below. Once we find them, kill immediately!"

"Yeah!" Naokawa nodded, leaping into the air, gliding over the container tops.

Running, Lin Tian kept a close eye on them, and when he saw the shadow leap into the sky, he scratched his head, "This damn guy can fly, quite a headache!"

"How's that bastard flying?" Lin Tian muttered irritably.

Having a flying guy messed up Lin Tian's plan.

After all, with someone looking down from above, hiding was much harder.

First things first, hide Wang Quan.

Surveying the surroundings, Lin Tian's eyes landed on a large lock hanging on a container door, and he told Wang Quan, "I'll lock you in here, don't come out, or you're dead!"

"Okay!" Wang Quan nodded.

Setting Wang Quan down, Lin Tian took out a dagger Bai Shishi had given him.

If he remembered correctly, it was named Black Dragon, incredibly sharp, able to cut through iron like butter.

Lin Tian needed this cutting-through-iron-like-butter feature now.

The blade slashed fiercely at the lock on the door, slicing it cleanly in half to the ground.

"That dagger is sharp!" Wang Quan remarked in awe, clearly appreciating quality.

"Stay inside; if I'm alive, I'll come fetch you," Lin Tian said, pulling open the container door.

As Wang Quan stepped in, he reflexively asked, "What if you don't return?"

"Then figure out how to off yourself!" Lin Tian sneered back, "Think they'd spare you?"

"Heh!" Wang Quan chuckled self-deprecatingly and stepped into the pitch-black container.

Everything today was his own doing!!!

And he got an innocent tied up in it.

In the darkness, Wang Quan suddenly shouted out, "Young man, you must come back alive, then I'll turn myself in with you!"

Lin Tian heard and smiled slightly, feeling gratified.

Wang Quan's resolve made saving him worthwhile.

People!

Everyone makes mistakes at times.

The key is acknowledging the mistake and striving to amend.

Achieving self-redemption.

Some criminals, after years inside, still believe they were right.

Some, heavy with guilt, realize the harm they caused.

That's called growth!!!

With Wang Quan safely hidden, Lin Tian eyed the two approaching shadows, strategizing.

Taking on both at once was tough; the only way was to quickly eliminate one.

But which one first?

Lin Tian focused on the two shadows, locking his target on Meichuan Kuzi.

He had no choice; the flying one was too weird, no telling what tricks he had, so best left for later...
