"Don't brake!" Wang Ba quickly reminded when he saw He Wu slowing down.
It was already tough for the van to keep up with the Mercedes; if they slowed down, they'd surely lose it.
"Big brother, there's a red light ahead!"
He Wu quickly reminded, "Running a red light will get us fined!"
Bai Shishi, driving the Mercedes, wasn't short on cash; fines were just a scratch to her.
But for He Wu, that was real money.
"My uncle just gave us some money; isn't it for fines? What are you afraid of?" Wang Ba shouted confidently, perfectly fitting the phrase "wealthy and brash."
"How could I forget that!" He Wu smacked his forehead and floored the gas pedal, rushing through the red light behind the black Mercedes.
"It seems they're coming for me!"
Bai Shishi, thoughtful and cautious, was now very sure the van was following her specifically.
She stayed calm, unfazed, and took out her phone to call Lin Tian.
Lin Tian was leisurely walking down the mountain, waiting for Bai Shishi to come by car.
Suddenly hearing the phone ring, he glanced at the caller ID before answering, "Miss Bai, are you here yet?"
"Lin Tian, something's happened!" Bai Shishi's panicked voice came through.
"Something's happened?" Lin Tian was startled, his gaze turning serious. "What happened?"
"Someone's following me!" Bai Shishi glanced at the rearview mirror; the van was still behind her.
"What?" Lin Tian exclaimed, "Where are you?"
"I'm about to reach Nanshan!"
"Keep driving, whatever you do, don't stop!" Lin Tian said without thinking.
"I know, but what do I do?" Bai Shishi's foot didn't leave the gas pedal, but keeping this up wasn't a solution.
If the car ran out of gas, she would have to stop eventually.
Lin Tian anxiously said, "I'm rushing down the mountain now; I'll wait for you at the Nanshan bus stop!"
"Okay, hurry up, I'll be there soon!" Bai Shishi hung up, flooring the gas pedal.
"Ba, what's she trying to do?" He Wu was puzzled as he saw the Mercedes speed up again.
"Maybe she's eager to meet her lover!" Wang Ba increasingly felt that Bai Shishi was a wild woman.
"Should we keep following or not?"
"Follow her, let's see what she's up to!" Wang Ba lit a cigarette and blew a puff out the window.
Breathing heavily, Lin Tian finally reached the Nanshan bus stop, lit a cigarette, and waited silently for Bai Shishi.
In the distance, the Mercedes' headlights flickered in and out...
"Ba, this place feels familiar!" He Wu looked around the road, feeling like he'd been there before.
"Isn't this Nanshan?" Wang Ba suddenly realized. Uncle Quan lives in the Nanshan Villa up the mountain, no wonder He Wu found it familiar.
"So, we're almost at Uncle Quan's house." He Wu suddenly understood, but then wondered, "What is Bai Shishi doing here at night? Could she be looking for Uncle Quan for something...?"
He Wu didn't finish his sentence, instead, a mischievous smile spread across his face, filling the car.
"Don't talk nonsense!" Wang Ba reprimanded.
"Quick... pull over and turn off the lights! Or we'll get spotted!" Wang Ba finally had a smart moment, but unfortunately, it was too late.
The Mercedes parked beside Lin Tian, and he got into the passenger seat, turning to look back, "Who's following you?"
"Do you see that van over there?" Bai Shishi pointed to the van parked with lights off by the roadside.
"Do you think those people have guns? How are we going to escape?" Once bitten, twice shy, Bai Shishi was genuinely scared now.
"Don't worry, there's definitely a way. Let me think!" Lin Tian pressed his lips together, pondering a strategy.
"Ba, they pulled over!" He Wu pointed to the rear of the Mercedes.
"A man got in just now; could those two be getting up to something?" He Wu grinned mischievously.
"It's nighttime, in a place as remote and dark as Nanshan, what good can a man and a woman do in a car?" Wang Ba scoffed at Bai Shishi's actions.
"Any plans, Lin Tian?" Bai Shishi watched Lin Tian, who was lost in thought.
Two cars, four people, each staring at the other's vehicle with their own thoughts.
"I'll get out and see who they are!" Lin Tian, after thinking for a while, decided to observe first.
"Be careful!" Bai Shishi was a bit worried about Lin Tian.
After all, it was a van; who knows how many people were inside.
Lin Tian was actually scared too; it's better not to mess with a Wuling Hongguang!!!
Because you never know how many people could be inside, and the same logic applies to a van.
"Lock the doors, and if anything happens, drive off immediately!" Lin Tian reminded Bai Shishi before getting out.
"Be very careful, alright?"
With Bai Shishi's concerned gaze, Lin Tian opened the door, got out of the car, and lit a cigarette as he walked toward the van.
"Ba, someone's getting out!" He Wu pointed at the shadow in the distance, "It looks like Lin Tian!"
"Crap, hide!" Wang Ba quickly crouched down after following He Wu's point.
The two people in the van immediately reclined or lay down, hiding their bodies in the dark.
"Shh~!" Lin Tian whistled softly, pretending to look at the ground as if searching for something.
When he reached the van, he slowly walked past, but his eyes were scanning the inside.
By the faint moonlight, Lin Tian squinted, clearly seeing the interior of the van.
One person lay in the driver's seat, and one in the passenger seat, the back seats were empty.
Focusing on the driver and passenger seats, he recognized Wang Ba and He Wu.
"Heh!" Lin Tian chuckled slightly, then looked away from the van.
"La la la...!" Lin Tian hummed, walking past the van a short distance before stopping.
"How's it going? Did he leave?" Wang Ba whispered to He Wu from the passenger seat.
"Let me check!" He Wu turned to look out the rear window and quickly ducked down when he saw Lin Tian standing nearby, "Ba, he's still behind the van!"
"Stay down, don't let him find us!" Wang Ba crouched tighter.
Standing behind the van, Lin Tian pondered on how to deal with the people inside.
"Got it!" Lin Tian suddenly had a brilliant idea.
His eyes scanned around like a radar, leaving no glass shards, iron fragments, or nails unnoticed by his Fire-Eyed Golden Gaze.
He found a rusted nail and some broken glass and iron pieces.
Lin Tian turned towards the van, and as he passed by, he quickly placed the objects under the tires...
