The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 178: The Taste of Bricks

Because Lin Tian went to bed too late last night, he slept very soundly.

How soundly, you ask?

Drool covered the whole desk; now, doesn't that sound like a good sleep?

It wasn't until the teacher collected the exam papers that Lin Tian was woken up.

"Finished the exam?"

Lin Tian groggily watched as the three proctors sealed and took away all the students' answer sheets, finally coming to his senses.

With the morning exams over, Lin Tian found a small restaurant at noon, ate something simple, and then continued with the afternoon exams.

Math in the afternoon.

The routine was the same, except he bought a new pen during the lunch break.

The pen flew swiftly across the math paper.

In less than half an hour, Lin Tian finished all the math problems.

This time, he was too lazy even to get up and hand in the paper.

He just lay on the desk and took a nap.

At five o'clock sharp, Lin Tian was once again woken up by the proctor, and his math paper was also collected.

As always, all the students' papers were sealed off, and the three proctors left.

Watching the repetitive scene, Lin Tian yawned: "This standardized test is so boring!"

With the day's exams over, Lin Tian turned on his phone and immediately got a call from Bai Shishi.

"Hello, Miss Bai?" Lin Tian asked.

"Lin Tian, you'll have to go home by yourself today. I left the key under the front doormat. I have something to do tonight and might be back late!" Bai Shishi's voice sounded tired.

"Okay, don't work too hard, Miss Bai!" Lin Tian replied.

"Oh right, how was the exam?" Bai Shishi suddenly remembered that today was Lin Tian's first day of standardized testing.

"Boring, I slept through the day!" Lin Tian said truthfully.

"Haha, you're one of a kind with these exams!"

After hearing Lin Tian's words, Bai Shishi no longer took Lin Tian's great dream of entering Kanyue City Medical University seriously.

Sleeping the entire day, how could he possibly get into Kanyue City Medical University?

Simply put, he's probably given up on the exam, which is why he could sleep.

That way, Bai Shishi wouldn't worry about Lin Tian getting into university and leaving.

This way, they wouldn't lose a valuable aide.

"Miss Bai, don't laugh. Anyway, I've filled in all the answers..."

Lin Tian wanted to continue, but Bai Shishi interrupted with laughter: "You wrote all the answers, but you don't know if they're right or wrong!"

"You'll see when the results come out, Miss Bai!" Lin Tian didn't bother explaining how well he did this time.

"Alright, enough bragging. Go find something to eat and then head back to rest early!" Bai Shishi said and then hung up the phone.

Lin Tian put away his phone, found a noodle shop to eat alone, and then strolled around the streets by himself.

Kanyue City is so big; it's truly the first time he's had a quiet moment to really appreciate it alone.

It wasn't until after nine in the evening that Lin Tian slowly headed to Bai Shishi's house.

Nothing much at first, but on the way home, Lin Tian had to pass through a small alley. In the daytime, this alley was full of vendors selling vegetables and food, but by evening, they had packed up and left, leaving piles of garbage.

Lin Tian walked in the middle of the road, with garbage on both sides making it hard to step.

For some reason, the alley felt unusually deserted tonight, so Lin Tian took out a cigarette, put it in his mouth, to steady his nerves and boost his courage.

"Clang!" A crisp sound suddenly came from behind.

Lin Tian shuddered, sensing something was off...

He turned and saw seven or eight black shadows approaching: "Who are you?"

These shadows were carrying steel pipes and baseball bats, scraping them against the ground as they moved, producing a grating noise.

"Clang!"

That grating sound also appeared in front, and Lin Tian looked ahead. More shadows appeared, blocking the only way out.

In the small alley, there were people in front and behind, and Lin Tian was trapped, with danger all around.

"Who are you?"

Lin Tian's mind raced, thinking about who he might have offended recently.

Wang Quan? Du Dahai? Wang Ba? Liu Chan?

The five shadows in front lined up, and the one in the middle said, "The ones who want your life!"

"Pretty bold talk. Wanting my life? Let's see if you've got what it takes!"

Lin Tian's lips curled into a cold smile. Don't be fooled by their numbers; he's not easy to mess with now either.

"Attack!"

The baseball bat in the shadow's hand pointed at Lin Tian, and the five in front and seven behind immediately charged at him with their weapons.

Lin Tian wasn't stupid; they outnumbered him, and with the situation unclear, fighting head-on would only cause trouble, so he ran.

Lin Tian ran in front, with a dozen people hot on his heels, quickly turning the quiet alley lively.

"This isn't going to work!"

Lin Tian glanced back from the corner of his eye. If he didn't take them down, he wouldn't get away today.

"Since that's the case, I'll have to fight!"

Lin Tian remembered a park not far away; maybe if he could lure them there, something could be done...

As Lin Tian ran towards the park, he picked up a brick from the ground.

"Huff, huff~!"

Lin Tian hid behind a tree in the park, gasping for breath.

"Search the place; he's in the park and can't get away!"

"Luckily they've split up!"

The reason Lin Tian lured them to the park was to divide them; after all, no matter how strong he was, he couldn't fight fourteen people at once.

"Huff~!"

Blowing on the brick in his hand, Lin Tian chuckled: "Today you'll get a taste of the brick's might!"

With a sinister smile, Lin Tian slowly climbed the tree.

A shadow holding a baseball bat came near the tree, suddenly feeling the need to pee.

"Damn, drank too much beer tonight, nearly killed me!"

Cursing, the shadow approached the tree and started to unbutton his pants.

"Splash~!" The sound of water hitting the tree, accompanied by the shadow's relieved sigh: "Oh~ so good..."

Watching the shadow shudder twice, Lin Tian's wicked grin grew wider: "Feels good to me too!"

"Who's there?" the shadow instinctively pulled up his pants.

"Bang!" Lin Tian jumped down from the tree, smashing a brick on the shadow's back of the head.

The shadow collapsed instantly, his face landing right in the wet patch by the tree trunk.

"That's pretty rough!" Lin Tian stuck out his tongue.

With one success, Lin Tian repeatedly played cat and mouse with the group in the park.

He hid, they searched, gradually reducing the number of shadows.

"Boss, something's not right!" one shadow whispered to another.

"What do you mean not right? He won't escape today!"

"Boss, didn't you notice our numbers are dwindling?"

"Hmm... now that you mention it, that's true!"

The two shadows scanned the quiet park, but there was no one in sight.

"Where did everyone go?" the leading shadow scratched his head.

"Bang!"

With a muffled sound, the lead shadow quickly turned his head and saw Lin Tian weighing a brick in his hand, with his recently fallen accomplice lying knocked out on the ground.
