The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 175: Endless Attacks

"Sure!"

The two of them finished their meal and strolled down the snack street, initially to walk off the food.

But it ended up with them eating non-stop: grilled squid, Changsha stinky tofu, Jiangxi rice noodles... a variety of snacks.

"Can't do it anymore, I'm stuffed!"

Staring at the homemade yogurt in front of her, Bai Shishi still wanted to eat, but she just couldn't fit any more in her stomach.

"Then don't eat it!" Lin Tian was also full.

Bai Shishi was the type to want to buy everything she saw; she'd buy something and just taste a bit, leaving the rest to Lin Tian to finish. How could he not be full?

"Then let's go back!" Bai Shishi said as she rubbed her belly.

"Miss Bai, I'm going to freshen up!" Lin Tian pointed to the public restroom not far away.

"Go ahead!" Bai Shishi nodded, "I'll wait for you at the parking spot."

After Lin Tian left, Bai Shishi suddenly remembered the spicy hotpot from today, so she took out her phone and opened the browser to type in "six-yuan spicy hotpot..."

"Can someone please tell me what six-yuan spicy hotpot means?" Bai Shishi found a post like that and clicked in.

"Basically, a woman traveled from Qingdao to Chengdu to meet her online boyfriend, who treated her to a six-yuan spicy hotpot, then... eventually she felt unbalanced and posted online, 'Online dating is unreliable; I traveled from Qingdao to Chengdu to see you, and you only treated me to a six-yuan spicy hotpot? And thirteen times in one night? That's basically what happened!'"

After reading the post, Bai Shishi finally understood what the six-yuan spicy hotpot was all about.

She also understood why the restaurant was called "Thirteen Shots."

She further understood what the woman at the next table meant when she said, "I traveled all the way to Kanyue City to find you, and you treated me to six-yuan spicy hotpot. Can we go for thirteen times tonight?"

No wonder Lin Tian spurted his beer!

"Truly shameless!" Bai Shishi's face turned red, silently cursing Lin Tian in her heart.

"What does he mean by inviting me for six-yuan spicy hotpot?"

The next second, Bai Shishi's heart raced, "Could he be hinting at something?"

Bai Shishi didn't care about the six-yuan spicy hotpot, her thoughts were on the aftermath...

"Bai Shishi, what are you thinking! Since when did you become so suggestive!"

Bai Shishi murmured to herself, quickly shaking her head to dismiss the thoughts from her mind.

Once inside the Mercedes, Bai Shishi's heart was pounding uncontrollably.

Spicy hotpot, thirteen times, she wondered if Lin Tian could handle it...

Meanwhile, Lin Tian also came out of the public restroom and headed to the parking spot.

Once in the car, Bai Shishi drove straight home.

After parking the car, they walked toward the villa.

Upon opening the villa door, Bai Shishi pressed the light switch, but there was no response.

"Hey, why aren't the lights turning on?" Bai Shishi pressed the switch several times, "Could it be a power outage?"

"Maybe the bulb's burnt out!" Lin Tian said casually, without much thought.

"I'll check the living room switch!" Bai Shishi's high heels clicked in the darkness.

"Ah!" After taking just a couple of steps, Bai Shishi screamed.

The scream startled Lin Tian, who almost fell.

"Quiet!" A harsh voice rang out.

Lin Tian saw Bai Shishi's arm being grabbed by a hand in the darkness.

"Not good!"

Realizing something was amiss, Lin Tian swiftly moved forward, punching the hand.

"Hiss!"

A sound of inhaling sharply echoed as the hand quickly withdrew; Lin Tian took the opportunity to yank Bai Shishi behind him.

"Scared me to death!"

Bai Shishi was frightened, now hiding behind Lin Tian, breathing heavily.

"Mr. Bai, long time no see!" A voice emerged from the darkness.

"Who are you?"

Bai Shishi heard the man focusing on her, quickly asking his identity.

"That's not necessary for you to know!"

A shadow walked out of the darkness, the white glint of a knife reflecting the moonlight flashing in Lin Tian's eyes.

"Gulp!"

Lin Tian swallowed, wondering why on earth danger followed Miss Bai everywhere!

In the dim room, his vision was obstructed, Bai Shishi was behind him, and the opponent held a knife, making him feel hard to deal with.

"What's your story, buddy?" Lin Tian attempted to stall while thinking of a plan.

The shadow in the darkness remained silent, the knife only continued to flash, possibly also trying to scheme.

"Uh oh~ it's two people! This is troublesome!" The shadow muttered inwardly.

"Not talking?"

Lin Tian probed again, while secretly pushing Bai Shishi back.

Understanding Lin Tian's intention, Bai Shishi quickly retreated a few steps to the sofa to give Lin Tian as much space as possible.

Meanwhile, she used the sofa for protection.

Fighting against a knife-wielding person, space is crucial. In a small space, escaping is hard; with ample space, one can turn defense into offense if quick enough.

"Stop wasting your breath; today both of you must die!" The shadow finally spoke.

"That voice sounds familiar!" Lin Tian frowned, seemingly recognizing it.

"Die!"

Suddenly the shadow moved, the white glint of the knife directly stabbing toward Lin Tian.

Frightened, Lin Tian quickly sidestepped left, but the knife seemed locked onto him, heading straight for him.

"Let's go!"

In darkness, mere dodging led to doom; better to turn the tables by risking a counterstrike.

Watching the knife get closer, Lin Tian didn't dodge this time, just stared at the white light approaching.

"It's now!"

Seizing the moment, Lin Tian leaned back, his spine cracking, bending his waist sharply backward.

The knife slashed past Lin Tian's face, missing its mark.

Simple evasion didn't necessitate flashy moves; Lin Tian's true intent was to snatch the knife.

Using force on his waist, his hands firmly gripped the opponent's knife-wielding right hand, and when the opponent retracted his arm, Lin Tian stood up.

"Ouch, my old waist!"

Lin Tian cried out in pain, feeling his waist nearly breaking from excess force.

Despite the ache, Lin Tian dared not relax, his hands gripping the assailant's right hand, smashing it against a nearby hard object to dislodge the knife!

The shadow refused to let Lin Tian succeed, continuously pounding Lin Tian with his free left hand.

You hit hard, I hit hard too, a battle where life was on the line.

After Lin Tian smashed the shadow's right hand against the TV stand a dozen times, the knife finally clattered to the ground.

Taking the opportunity after a few punches, Lin Tian freed his hands, launching a furious assault on the shadow.

Fists flew in the darkness, some missing, others landing solidly.

After a brief flurry, the shadow was finally struck hard by Lin Tian's left jab to the chin, crumpling like a ragdoll to the ground, akin to a boxer KO'ing his opponent.
