The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 130: A Risky Move

Lin Tian stood before the bald robber, who was already awake, glaring maliciously at him.

"Love-struck fool? Idiot?"

Lin Tian threw out a few words at the bald robber.

Then came a burst of unrestrained laughter.

The bald robber looked at Lin Tian with a pale face, gritting his teeth in anger.

If I had known this guy was so good at acting tough, I would have just shot him back then.

But now it was too late; he could only angrily watch Lin Tian laugh wildly.

"Where is your transaction location?"

In order to draw out the big fish behind the bald robber, Lin Tian wanted to extract a precise address.

"I won't say a word!"

The bald robber snarled through clenched teeth.

"At the end of your tether, yet still stubborn?"

Lin Tian smirked playfully, "Although you only mentioned 'worn-down in the suburbs,' I'm guessing it's an abandoned factory in the suburbs, right?"

In the suburbs, factories were everywhere, and the only thing that could be described as 'worn-down' around here would be a factory.

"Don't think you can get anything out of me!"

Though claiming so, the fleeting look of panic on the bald robber's face had already betrayed his true thoughts.

It was clear Lin Tian's guess was spot on.

No need for the bald robber's answer, Lin Tian got his desired answer from his expression.

"Let me borrow your hat!"

Lin Tian found two baseball caps and two masks on the bald robber.

He tossed a cap and mask to Mr. Ning casually, "Put on the hat and mask, you need to change your clothes as well!"

Mr. Ning nodded, realizing his police uniform was too conspicuous, he needed to change into civilian clothes to impersonate a robber.

Then, Mr. Ning grabbed a fallen robber's clothes and put them on.

Once everything was ready, Lin Tian turned to Bai Shishi and said, "Miss Bai, bear with it and continue being a hostage for now!"

"Hmm!"

Bai Shishi nodded as Lin Tian tied her up with a rope, leaving a deliberate flaw.

This was to allow Bai Shishi to easily untie herself in case of emergency.

"Brother, do you know how to use a gun?" Mr. Ning suddenly asked as Lin Tian was about to get on the truck.

"I guess!?"

Lin Tian was unsure; he had seen guns fire by pulling the trigger on TV, but he wasn't sure if that was how it worked in reality.

"This gun is for you, it has five bullets!"

Mr. Ning handed the bald robber's gun to Lin Tian, explaining, "This part is the safety, here's the sight!"

"Align the sight with the enemy, keep your arm steady, and pull the trigger to shoot!"

Lin Tian took the black pistol, the cold metal spread through his skin to his palm, feeling heavy.

"Don't shoot unless absolutely necessary!" Mr. Ning cautioned one more time.

Putting the black pistol away, Lin Tian headed for the heavy truck's cab.

"I'll drive, you go guard the hostage!"

Mr. Ning suddenly stopped Lin Tian.

"I'm a cop, my way of speaking and doing things might not match a robber's, I'm afraid I'll be found out!"

Mr. Ning explained why he insisted on driving.

Driving meant not having to deal directly with the robbers, reducing the chance of exposure.

If something went wrong, he could cover Lin Tian and the others' retreat immediately.

"Okay!"

Lin Tian nodded, sharing the information the bald robber leaked, "It should be an abandoned factory in the suburbs, I don't know the exact location!"

"An abandoned factory?" Mr. Ning pondered for a moment, pointing ahead, "There's an abandoned chemical plant over there, should we take our chances?"

"Okay!"

Lin Tian turned and walked toward the heavy truck's cargo bay.

Ring ring ring.

At that moment, the urgent sound of a phone rang.

Following the sound, Lin Tian saw the bald robber lowering his head, looking at his pocket.

Standing before the bald robber again, Lin Tian retrieved a phone from his pocket. Glancing at the incoming number, he asked, "An accomplice?"

"I told you, don't expect to get anything useful from my mouth!"

The bald robber turned his neck arrogantly, speaking haughtily.

"Is it wise to act so arrogantly?"

Lin Tian smirked as he raised his right leg swiftly.

"Damn! Can't you avoid hitting there..."

The handcuffed bald robber felt a sharp pain between his legs, his body softened, collapsing to the ground.

Having been squeezed by Lin Tian before, and now being kicked, it truly was a double whammy.

"Not talking? Believe I won't kick again?"

Lin Tian's cold gaze locked onto the pained face of the bald robber.

Seeing Lin Tian raise his right leg again, the bald robber huffed, "Fine, you're the boss. The caller is our funder. Our target is to hand over the hostage to him!"

"Should've said so sooner!"

Lin Tian scoffed, walking away with the phone.

Missing the first call, the second one came in.

"If we keep missing calls, won't they get suspicious?"

Lin Tian pondered, looking at the incessantly ringing phone.

After a moment, he pressed the answer button, intentionally mimicking the bald robber's voice, "We've shaken off the cops, heading to the rendezvous now!"

"Why didn't you answer the first call?"

A cold, questioning voice came from the caller.

Lin Tian explained, "There was an unexpected situation earlier, couldn't get to it!"

"You didn't fall into the cops' hands, did you?"

The caller clearly had suspicions.

"The plan was foolproof, how could the cops catch us? Just a minor hiccup; see you at the rendezvous!"

Lin Tian waited patiently for the caller's response.

"Hurry up, or once Kanyue City police fully investigate, it won't be easy to escape!"

With that, the caller hung up.

"Phew!" Lin Tian took a deep breath, calming his inner tension.

Though the call was brief, Lin Tian was drenched in sweat, his forehead covered in beads of sweat.

"That was close!"

Putting the phone away, Lin Tian got into the truck's cargo bay.

The heavy truck started up immediately, driving down the suburban road.

"Lin Tian, I'm a bit scared!"

Cowered by the side of the van, Bai Shishi whispered.

"Miss Bai, with me here, you'll be fine!"

Lin Tian fiddled with the gun, pondering, "But I can't figure out who's out to harm Miss Bai, going to such lengths!"

"Wang Quan? Or maybe Du Dahai!"

Bai Shishi could only think of these two as potential threats.

Lin Tian pulled out a cigarette, inhaling softly.

The tobacco scent quickly filled the airtight cabin.

"Wang Quan probably wouldn't; Miss Bai hasn't broken ties with him yet, even if he is an insider, he wouldn't take such a risky move!"

"Pretending to rob a bank to harm Miss Bai, no businessman with a smart head would do that!"
