Transmigrated as An Extra In My Novel's First Draft

Chapter 28: Practical Preparation [5]

How long had it taken? I didn't know.

The earthy brown walls and stone-brick platform were painted purple...everything was.

My legs trembled uncontrollably, unable to hold the weight of my body, as I eventually collapsed to the ground.

There was not a single fairy left.

On the other side of the room, Haerin remained standing, simply gazing as the corpse of the last fairy shattered into thousands of glass pieces before vanishing from sight.

A monster...she was.

As the fight progressed, she only got stronger.

And, with no need to defend, her offensive power increased exponentially.

This fight had originally been to help Leo hone his skills, yet Haerin had stolen it.

Her usual calm jade-green eyes shook crazily as she scanned the entire room, not finding a single enemy left.

A faint chuckle escaping my mouth, I leaned backward and gazed upward at the purple ceiling.

My ears were still ringing from the constant fairy screams, and my body was limp, my brain surging with pain from the fight.

The faint light in her eyes finally diminishing, Haerin sank to the floor, the broadsword dropping out of her trembling hands.

As I continued gazing up at the ceiling, an anticipated purple menu also appeared.

Not only had my unyielding gift increased, but finally, I had broken through to F- rank, placing me on par with the bottom 25 percent of students in the school.

More importantly, though, it seemed that I had mastered Torrent Step enough to be allowed the opportunity to learn the next movement within the white robed man's dance.

At this point, Leo should have reached E- rank, the main cast members on the peak of F+.

Haerin...though, she had probably surpassed her story-self, just now reaching E- rank.

Perhaps, she could even beat Leo if she fought him at this very moment.

Snapping me back to reality, as I panted like a dog on the ground, Haerin's faint voice suddenly sounded.

"AH...THERE'S ONLY THREE HOURS!"

...she's worried about studying?

Immediatly her eyes locked onto me as she yelled.

"WHERE'S THE EXIT? I HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE LIBRARY!"

Climbing onto my feet, using the purple wall beside me, I shook my head and limped forward to the middle of the stone platform.

Under her watchful eye, I kneeled down and grasped a stone lever, which seemed to have appeared after our fight, and yanked it upward.

Then, climbing downward into the trapdoor, I yelled with the last of my energy, a faint bit of appreciation in my tone.

"Remember how the theory of Mana Manipulation applies to golems specifically."

As the trapdoor slammed shut behind me, the entire stone platform began glowing a dark purple under Haerin's feet.

In the next moment, her figure vanished and reappeared right next to the bookcase where it had all started.

"huh...?"

...

...

...

Sighing, I descended the ladder, every single muscle in my body aching, until I finally felt a rough surface touch my bare feet, the soles of my shoes having ripped off during the fight.

Walking on the rough surface, I smiled as a flash of light blinded me, and in the next moment, a massive mountain of gold bars appeared before me, stretching at least ten feet from the floor to the ground.

After grabbing a conveniently placed designer purse by the entrance, I stuffed as many gold bars as I could before sighing.

One could only enter this special vault once.

If I attempted to climb down the trapdoor again, I would be stuck in an infinite loop, never able to reach the end of the ladder.

Counting the bars in the purse, which amounted to over 5 million gold coins, I smiled and walked atop a small stone platform in the middle room.

The money in this room would later be used by Leo for a good cause, so I wasn't worried.

The same phenomena as earlier occurred as the ground below glowed a dark purple before my figure vanished.

Finding myself back in the library, I slowly crept out, trying my best to ignore Haerin, who was blankly staring at the textbook before her.

Her right leg bounced up and down in excitement as I clearly saw her eyes entranced in a daydream.

Does she really think her brain can retain information after all of that...?

In the next moment, her head collapsed onto the textbook, her eyelids slamming shut in exhaustion.

"*PFFT*"

With my clothes and skin bathed in a dark purple, a flashy, gold-embedded, designer bag around my shoulder, I casually strolled into the hallway.

If someone saw me, I would genuinely have no words.

No one see me.

No one see me.

No one see me.

Thankfully, my wishes came true as I soon found myself back in my dorm room.

Without an ounce of hesitation, I energetically leaped into the painting, basking in the water and placing the designer bag atop a lily pad.

Ah...

As my exhaustion faded away and muscles began to recover, I closed my eyes, yet no darkness awaited me.

Instead, the faint outline of Haerin's figure and her sword appeared amidst a crowd of fairies.

Perhaps...having her along wasn't such a bad thing, today.
