Episode 2: The Beginning of the System

"This is going to be fun... Having a system changes everything! Just watch—this weak body of mine will become strong."

Kuro tightened his grip on the Steel Dagger, taking a deep breath. The fear on his face was now replaced by a faint smirk.

"At least now, I have something to fight with..."

But his relief was short-lived.

A notification flashed—

[ALERT: 2nd Wave Incoming]

Warning: Prepare yourself! More enemies are approaching.

"What?! A second wave already?! I just killed the first one!"

His heart pounded again, but this time, something different stirred—an odd sense of thrill.

"Alright... This time, I'll be ready."

He glanced out the broken window. Silhouettes were approaching—two or three Goblins, maybe more.

"So, this is just the beginning."

Stretching his arms, Kuro checked the cooldown timers for Shadow Strike and Quick Step—both were ready.

"I need to use them wisely..."

The countdown began.

He positioned himself near the door.

BANG!!!

The door burst open again.

"Quick Step!"

His body moved like lightning, dodging to the side. The first Goblin slashed at empty air.

"Shadow Strike!"

Kuro's dagger flashed, cutting into the Goblin's back.

SPLAT!

The creature dropped, lifeless.

The other two Goblins circled cautiously.

"Alright... now the real test begins!"

The battle was intense. Blades clashed, Goblins snarled, and Kuro's confidence grew.

Fear faded.

Pure battle instinct took over.
