The Supreme Martial Expert of the Female CEO

Chapter 865: Aiven's Abnormality

In the remaining five days, Ling Feng stayed in Catherine's bedroom the entire time. Within the Divine Gate organization, Catherine's bedroom was the highest and most sacred space, and no one dared to take even a step closer. As a result, the brothers of the Divine Gate did not realize that their eldest brother had already returned.

"These past few days must have been hard on you!" When Catherine returned to the bedroom, her expression filled with exhaustion, Ling Feng, feeling a twinge of heartache, embraced her gently and began to massage her shoulders.

Catherine leaned into Ling Feng's embrace, thoroughly enjoying the moment. "Everything is ready. Today, I've already informed all the Divine Gate brothers—by tomorrow noon, everyone will gather in Fusang Tokyo. By then, this place will have become a ghost town."

"How is everyone's morale?" Ling Feng asked.

Catherine replied, "Still manageable. After all, you mentioned the relocation plan before, so they've been mentally prepared for it. Oh, by the way, tomorrow is the first day of the auction. In the morning, the auction items need to be delivered to the venue. Want to go together?"

Ling Feng smiled faintly. "Of course, we'll go together. Without me, how could you possibly transport those items? Alright, stop overthinking, it's time to sleep."

As he spoke, Ling Feng's actions became even gentler. Catherine felt a wave of drowsiness wash over her, and her body gradually softened as she drifted off in Ling Feng's arms.

Ling Feng gently carried Catherine to the bed. Then, with a swift pivot, he left the room and closed the door behind him.

Today was the day Catherine informed the brothers about tomorrow's plans. If there was a traitor among them, tonight would be their final window to leak information!

Although Ling Feng was willing to trust his brothers, he believed this matter required extra caution.

Standing atop the highest tower of the Divine Gate organization, Ling Feng's Divine Sense expanded like an immense web, instantly enveloping the entire Divine Gate compound. Every word and action of everyone within the organization was vividly imprinted in Ling Feng's mind.

Aside from Ling Feng, the Divine Gate organization had no other expert in the Demi-God Domain, so Ling Feng had no need to worry about anyone detecting his Divine Sense probing.

Ling Feng stood in the night sky for a full hour, but he did not detect anything unusual. "Could it be that I'm overthinking?"

Ling Feng pondered silently while letting out a relieved sigh.

However, just at that moment, Ling Feng's Divine Sense caught sight of a man in Nightwalker Clothes disappearing into the darkness of the night.

"Aiven?" Ling Feng's expression instantly darkened. He hadn't expected Aiven to sneak out of the base at such a time. Where was he going? What was his intent?

Suppressed fury swirled in Ling Feng's heart. "How could it possibly be Aiven? He must have his own reasons—surely, I must have misunderstood!"

With that thought in mind, Ling Feng's silhouette followed Aiven from a distance.

Aiven was Ling Feng's most loyal follower and had once been his Shadow. Years ago, the Mad Doctor had conditioned Aiven into a mission-focused, kill-driven human machine.

It was Ling Feng's persistent, subtle influences that gradually awakened Aiven's capacity to feel basic human emotions like joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness.

Therefore, apart from Catherine, Ling Feng trusted Aiven's loyalty to him the most within the entire Divine Gate. Yet Aiven's actions gave Ling Feng an unsettling sense of betrayal.

Still, Ling Feng didn't act impulsively. Just as he had given Catherine a chance five days before, Ling Feng decided to grant Aiven the same opportunity. He wanted to see whether Aiven had truly turned against him.

As one of the top-tier individuals in the Divine Gate, Aiven's skills were second to none. Dressed in Nightwalker Clothes, Aiven resembled a silent bat in the darkness, moving through the shadows without a trace.

Before long, Aiven arrived at a small town near the Divine Gate base and cautiously entered a local inn.

The man at the inn's entrance glanced around warily after Aiven went inside. Only after ensuring there were no unusual signs did he shut the door securely.

By now, Ling Feng's expression had grown grim. Sneaking out in the dead of night to meet a mysterious individual, combined with such deliberate caution—what could it all mean? Did it truly need further explanation?

Ling Feng's figure silently landed atop the inn. Using his Divine Sense, he easily identified over a dozen hidden A-Rank Peak-level experts in the vicinity. Meanwhile, inside the inn, Aiven sat face-to-face with a blond-haired man.

"It seems these visitors do not have peaceful intentions," Ling Feng murmured, taking a deep breath. A thread of his Divine Sense discreetly drifted into Aiven's room.

"What do you want with me?" Aiven's voice came through, tinged with anger. "Didn't I tell you not to contact me again unless it was absolutely necessary?"

Opposite him, the older blond-haired man chuckled lightly. "My dear brother, after all, we are true siblings. Do you really despise seeing me that much?"

True siblings? Ling Feng's heart shook. He had known that Aiven was an orphan taken in by the Mad Doctor, but he hadn't expected Aiven to have found his biological family. Based on the dynamics, however, harmony seemed far from the case between them!

A look of disgust crossed Aiven's face. "There's no one else here. Spare me your fake politeness. Just looking at your disgusting face makes me sick."

The blond-haired man's expression flickered with a flash of coldness, but it quickly vanished. "Aiven, I know you resent me. But no matter how much you hate me, you can't change one fact—you carry the blood of the Nilas Family."

"So what?" Aiven snarled through clenched teeth.

The blond-haired man smiled faintly. "My dear brother, do you have any idea how much effort I put into finding you? Haven't you considered returning to the Nilas Family? After all, you're the direct descendant of the Clan Leader—my brother. As long as you come back, riches beyond your wildest dreams and countless beautiful women will be yours. From then on, you'll never have to live this precarious life again…"

"Sorry, I'm not interested in that kind of life," Aiven replied coldly. "I'm quite satisfied with how I'm living now. Just stop bothering me. I won't hold a grudge against you for abandoning me back then, but I don't want you reaching out anymore. Let's treat each other as strangers."

A faint smirk of disdain appeared at the corners of the blond-haired man's lips. "Satisfied with your current life? My dear brother, you're truly skilled at deceiving yourself! I never thought a man of the Nilas Family would have such a penchant for humiliation. Watching your beloved woman fall into another man's arms—you do realize that this makes you the very definition of a coward, don't you?"

"Shut up!" Aiven suddenly stood, his eyes blazing with ferocity. "Say another word, and I'll snap your neck right here!"

"Oh, I believe you'll do it. After all, you're one of the Divine Gate's top assassins!" The blond-haired man wasn't intimidated; instead, he sneered. "But that still doesn't change the fact that you're in love with your elder brother's woman."
