The Supreme Martial Expert of the Female CEO

Chapter 850: Archbishop Berkeley's Assist

When the vice-captain of the Rose Squad arrived, Ling Feng had already washed his hands of it and quietly left!

He stared at the empty exhibition hall, his vision darkening: "Who? Who did this? Which filthy, shameless thief did this? Show yourself if you dare!"

No matter how he roared, Ling Feng, who had already left, naturally couldn't hear him. Even if he could, there's no way he would step forward!

With a Divine Artifact like the Devil's Ring for committing heists, no one on Earth could detect it yet! Ling Feng felt quite at ease.

"Freedom Organization!" A ferocious expression appeared on the vice-captain's face, as he had already decided to settle this score with the Freedom Organization.

Judging by the intel available, the Freedom Organization was indeed the most likely suspect. After all, only high-level experts at the Demi-God Domain could quietly move so many treasures!

"At all costs, annihilate the enemy in front of you!" The vice-captain's voice rang in everyone's earpiece: "Anyone bold enough to challenge the Rose Squad shall be killed without mercy!"

Upon hearing the vice-captain's orders, the members of the Rose Squad attacked with even more intensity and frenzy.

The men in black exchanged glances and decisively retreated. Their primary mission was to buy some time for the Freedom Organization members; they didn't plan to clash to the death with the Rose Squad. After all, the other side was equally powerful—such a fight wasn't worth it!

By this time, Ling Feng had already left the Louvre and hid in a secluded corner, where he took out the Hammurabi Code from the Devil's Ring.

The massive Hammurabi Code was placed on the ground. Ling Feng circled around it several times but didn't find anything unusual.

"There's no hint of Abyssal energy on this pillar. Could there really be a map inside?" Ling Feng muttered to himself.

Suddenly, a thought crossed Ling Feng's mind. He pulled out the metallic fragment he had acquired while searching for the map and placed it in front of the Hammurabi Code.

But the metallic fragment showed no reaction!

"Damn it, there's no map in here!" Ling Feng frowned. "Could this have been a trap all along?"

Recalling the expression on that man's face back then, Ling Feng fell into deep doubt once more.

"It seems there are two possibilities now: either the map truly is inside the Hammurabi Code but I haven't figured out the method to access it, or that Holy Envoy deceived even his own subordinates, and the map isn't in the Hammurabi Code at all!" Ling Feng thought to himself.

Ling Feng found himself leaning more toward the latter. The map of the Atlantis Continent was crucial for Hell's Gate—how could the Holy Envoy trust his subordinates to retrieve it?

"No wonder I've felt something off about this all along. So, the problem lies here!" Ling Feng exclaimed in frustration before putting the Hammurabi Code back into the Devil's Ring.

"If I want to find the map, I'll need to follow that guy from Hell's Gate!"

...

Meanwhile, the Holy Envoy and Hans had already been locked in battle for hundreds of rounds, their fight extending from the skies to the outskirts.

"Who the hell are you?" Hans asked, panting heavily, his tone laced with seriousness.

The man before him clearly had a strength that surpassed his own. But why was such a powerful figure still unknown in the Underworld?

"Who am I? Of course, I'm part of the Freedom Organization!" The Holy Envoy responded with a faint smile. "Still keen to fight? If not, I'll be on my way!"

Hans gritted his teeth. His opponent showed no signs of exhaustion, which placed him in a difficult situation.

Just then, a massive Holy Light descended from the sky, enveloping the Holy Envoy.

"God says, let there be light!" Archbishop Berkeley hovered mid-air, holding the Bishop's Staff. "Holy Light Judgment!"

Hans froze in shock. "Archbishop Berkeley from the Papal Court of Light? But why is the Papal Court of Light here?"

"Aaargh!" A scream snapped Hans' attention back to the Holy Envoy.

Eyes wide with rage, the Holy Envoy clenched his fists, glaring upward at Archbishop Berkeley. "So it's you—Successors of the Angel World—it's actually you!"

Archbishop Berkeley looked down at the Holy Envoy indifferently. "Disgusting and filthy creature, this is no place for you. So, let the Holy Light purify you!"

Roar! The Holy Envoy let out a low growl. The Holy Light surrounding him suddenly shattered into fragments, and black energy began swirling around him.

"What is this...?" Hans' eyes widened in shock. "What kind of monster is this?"

By now, the Holy Envoy's clothes had been ripped to shreds. His body had morphed under the influence of the black energy—bulging muscles, dense black fur, hardened claws, and a devilish head!

The single horn on his head revealed his true identity. Combined with the thick tail behind him, this sight left Hans utterly shaken.

"A Dark Creature from the Dark Church?" Hans couldn't help but ask. "Archbishop Berkeley, is this creature from the Dark Church?"

Archbishop Berkeley didn't deny it but casually replied, "To be precise, he's an Abyssal Creature. They are the masterminds behind the Freedom Organization. Their goal is to seize the map fragments of the Atlantis Continent stored in the Louvre!"

Hans, stunned, responded with a hint of disbelief. "A map fragment of the Atlantis Continent? Stored in the Louvre? How is that possible?"

"Hahaha, you pathetic swine, dwelling in a treasure trove without knowing its worth!" The Holy Envoy laughed as he licked his lips. "Today, I shall devour you all, then take the map. Lesser beings like you have no right to exist on Origin Star!"

Though still confused, Hans understood that the Abyssal Creature before him was their shared enemy!

"Captain Hans!" Archbishop Berkeley said in a firm voice. "This Abyssal Creature is incredibly powerful. We must work together if we are to defeat it! For the sake of protecting Paris, let us unite and fight it together!"

Taking a deep breath, Hans saluted the Archbishop and said, "Thank you, Archbishop, for your assistance. I, Hans, will not allow such a creature to threaten Paris!"

"Insects dare to talk so big?" The Holy Envoy chuckled darkly. His body blurred as he lunged toward Hans.

Transformed into an Abyssal Creature, the Holy Envoy's power had leaped even higher. Before Hans could react, the Holy Envoy was already in front of him.

"Die!" The Holy Envoy raised his enormous claw, striking toward Hans.

"Sacred Shield!" At that moment, a white light descended on Hans, forming a white shield in front of him to block the Holy Envoy's attack!

With a loud crash, Hans was sent flying, landing heavily on the ground!
