The Supreme Martial Expert of the Female CEO

Chapter 1425: Ignorant Angels

Encountering the Dragon Bone Warriors wasn't too difficult for Camille and her group, but they realized that danger lurked everywhere in the Valley of Dragon Tomb!

The Dragon Bone Warriors were merely puppets left with a shred of battle consciousness, yet they made the group feel utterly defeated. If they truly met the Guardian of the Holy Mountain, it would surely be far more perilous.

"What exactly is the Guardian of the Holy Mountain? Even we don't know!" Laines said, "But what we do know is that it can control the Void Kun, and its strength is absolutely terrifying—definitely above the Azure Sky Realm. The Holy Mountain is the opponent's home ground; if we encounter it, it only means we're unlucky!"

Saying this, they climbed over a range of the Holy Mountain, revealing before them a vast, expansive lake, surrounded entirely by steep cliffs.

Since they couldn't fly, Camille and her group had only one option—to cross the lake and reach the opposite shore.

"This lake…I'm seeing it for the first time as well!" As Camille turned her gaze towards him, Laines said helplessly, "The Holy Mountain is too large, with too many secrets, and we can't fully decipher them all. However, I suspect this lake is not that simple!"

Ling Feng rolled his eyes, thinking that Laines hadn't said anything useful.

But Camille nodded solemnly, "Lyle, take a few people and go see what's so special about this lake!"

Lyle nodded and took three Angels up to the lake.

A moment later, they returned, their faces carrying a heavy expression.

"What's wrong? Why do you look so troubled?" Camille couldn't help asking.

Lyle smiled wryly, "Because when we checked, this lake indeed is quite peculiar. At first glance, it doesn't seem out of the ordinary, but the lake's water can absorb the energy within us!"

"I just dipped my hand into the lake, and immediately felt a notable suction absorbing my power. Moreover… I have a feeling there's some kind of creature in this lake too, because I felt as if a pair of eyes from the bottom were eerily watching me!"

Upon hearing Lyle's words, a solemn look flickered in Camille's eyes, "So, crossing this lake is indeed a perilous venture?"

Lyle nodded, "Exactly, and I think it's even more troublesome than the Dragon Bone Warriors!"

Camille felt frustrated; having reached the Holy Mountain, she hadn't gained much, only acquiring a few Dragon Balls—far below her expectations!

Adding to that, Laines had mentioned that the area held the Stellar Soul Gemstones, which ignited a flame of hope within Camille. If she obtained the Stellar Soul Gemstone, she would truly have the capital to confront the Holy Spirit King head-on.

"We must cross this lake, we have to find the Stellar Soul Gemstone Mine!" Camille said firmly, "If the Holy Spirit King's people find it first, we'll be in an even more passive position, making our fight for revival even tougher!"

Camille's words garnered agreement from everyone; it was inherently a zero-sum situation, leaving them with no avenue for retreat.

"Let's check out how we might cross over!" Camille said softly.

Approaching the lakeside, Ling Feng noticed the deep blue lake exuded a chill and serene aura, paradoxically offering a refreshing sense of peace!

"Is it a mere illusion?" Ling Feng pondered.

Standing by the lake, Camille dipped her hand into the water, her face turning solemn, "The water indeed is peculiar, we will need to find another way to cross."

Lyle pondered for a moment, then pulled up a massive tree nearby and threw it into the lake.

Within the time of ten breaths, the lush tree quickly withered, as if all its vitality was drained by the lake water, eventually turning into a pile of ash scattered over the lake.

"Even the spiritual power within the trees can be absorbed, this is rather troublesome." Camille was a bit annoyed.

"Um…" At this point, Ling Feng blinked and asked, "I thought of a way, but I'm not sure if it'll work!"

"What kind of plan do you have?" Lyle said irritably, "Just a mere God Realm level…"

"Lyle, let Ling Feng finish his thought!" Camille said discontentedly and then turned to Ling Feng, "Ling Feng, what is your plan?"

Ling Feng explained, "Since this lake water can absorb Spiritual Energy and Vital Energy, then I think it might be unable to absorb through Spirit Nullifying Stone, right?"

Camille's eyes brightened, "Are you suggesting…"

"I'm suggesting we test with Spirit Nullifying Stone—if it can't penetrate it, we can use the Spirit Nullifying Stone to get across the lake!" Ling Feng reasoned earnestly.

"Ridiculous, Spirit Nullifying Stone is far heavier than this lake water; how could it carry us across? And where would we find any Spirit Nullifying Stone here!" An angel couldn't help but say.

Ling Feng chuckled, "Lucky you, I have some!"

Previously, when trapped in the Holy Prison, Ling Feng had secretly gathered some Spirit Nullifying Stone during a rebellion there. Since then, he had instinctively felt it was valuable, keeping a stash, unexpectedly coming in handy now.

Arriving at the lakeside, Ling Feng pulled two large pieces of Spirit Nullifying Stone from the Devil's Ring, placing one in the lake.

As expected, Ling Feng and Camille on the side in contact with the Spirit Nullifying Stone didn't feel their Vital Energy being drawn out, confirming Ling Feng's idea was correct; while the lake could absorb energy, it couldn't penetrate Spirit Nullifying Stone.

The Spirit Nullifying Stone used for the Holy Prison was large; Ling Feng took out a Longsword to hollow out the stone.

Though the Spirit Nullifying Stone had a greater density than lake water, hollowing out the center allowed it to become a boat on which to float across the lake.

The angels, accustomed to flying, had no understanding of the significance of Ling Feng's actions.

When Ling Feng had hollowed out one piece of Spirit Nullifying Stone and pushed it into the lake, it unexpectedly floated, bobbing gently—astonishing all the angels!

"How is this possible? The Spirit Nullifying Stone is heavier than the lake water; how could it float?" Lyle was incredulous!

Ling Feng smirked, knowing these muscle-brained individuals couldn't comprehend the wonders of science.

"Lack of knowledge is a scary thing!" Ling Feng was first to leap onto the Spirit Nullifying Stone boat, causing it to sink slightly but remaining stable.

The surrounding angels, though unaware of the intricacies, realized it must be related to Ling Feng's prior actions.

Camille jumped onto Ling Feng's Spirit Nullifying Stone boat and ordered, "You guys quickly hollow out the other Spirit Nullifying Stone, and then we'll go across the lake swiftly!"

After speaking, Camille turned with curiosity to Ling Feng, "Ling Feng, we didn't expect you'd really give us a great help!"
