Super Invincible Battleship

Chapter 814: Soul Traversal_2

Yan Fei carefully observed the Lieutenant Colonel. No matter how you looked at it, she was an adorable Earth girl, with none of the cumbersome feel of a chimpanzee. The Lieutenant Colonel stood right in front of Yan Fei; this was her true form, yet she seemed as if she wasn't there at all, giving off an extremely contradictory feeling. Even if Yan Fei wanted to attack her, he wouldn't know where to start.

Yan Fei's face showed a hint of skepticism, and he said, "If you truly belong to the Ape Tribe, then why are you here on our Earth? You know, ever since the ancestors of the Ape Tribe Empire fled Earth, they got lost in the Universe and never returned. Or, perhaps, you do not belong to the Ape Tribe Empire at all. Maybe you are the soul of the chimpanzees that died on Earth 80,000 years ago, and your soul has lived from then until now?"

The Lieutenant Colonel smiled smugly and said, "Yan Fei, I know you're pretending not to understand and are deliberately trying to extract information from me. However, the current situation is entirely under my control, so I'm not afraid of any tricks you Earth humans might pull. Today, for the first time, I will reveal my true identity to you Earthlings! Yes, I'm not an Earth human. I come from the Ape Tribe Empire in the Universe—I am a true member of the Ape Tribe Empire."

Yan Fei curiously asked, "It seems you hold a high position in the Ape Tribe Empire! Otherwise, why would you be the commander of the Ape Tribe Empire's First Legion?"

The Lieutenant Colonel's face showed pride as she said, "The First Legion is the most powerful fleet of the Ape Tribe Empire, equipped with the latest gear of the Ape Tribe Empire. It is the key force protecting the Imperial Star of the Ape Tribe. From the day the First Legion was formed, its leader has only been the most important members of the Empire's Royal Family. Do you now understand my identity?"

Yan Fei suddenly recalled the power structure of the Ape Tribe Empire he learned from the prisoners of war, Kira, and speculated, "Could it be that you're the empress of the Ape Tribe Empire?"

The Lieutenant Colonel blushed for a rare moment but quickly returned to normal and said, "I'm not yet the empress of the Ape Tribe Empire, but I will be soon."

Yan Fei had an epiphany and said, "I see! Your true identity is actually the not-so-popular heir of the Ape Tribe Empire."

The Lieutenant Colonel showed a rare expression of indignation and loudly defended, "All those rumors about me not being accepted were deliberately spread by the opposition within the Empire, who hold significant power. They don't want to see a capable heir like me ascend to the throne. The emperor of the Empire knows my capabilities the best and knows that I can definitely lead the Empire to greater heights; that's why I was appointed as the heir of the Empire."

Yan Fei said, "Whether you have the capability or not is none of my business. I'm more curious why, as the heir of the Ape Tribe Empire, you should be heavily protected, yet you appear alone on Earth?"

The Lieutenant Colonel shook her head and said, "That's my biggest secret, and I won't tell you."

Yan Fei said indifferently, "I heard that the Empress of the Ape Tribe Empire gave birth to you over a hundred years ago, meaning you're at most a hundred years old. However, according to the intelligence I've gathered, your first appearance on Earth was at least a thousand years ago. In terms of age, you can't possibly be the heir of the Ape Tribe Empire; you might be an imposter."

The Lieutenant Colonel originally didn't want to reveal her secret to Yan Fei, but since she cared the most about her status as the heir, she changed her mind after being doubted by Yan Fei and decided to explain her identity to him. She pointed to the white Light Sphere behind her and said, "Yan Fei, do you see this white Light Sphere behind me?"

Yan Fei said, "It's so huge that anyone with eyes can see it."

The Lieutenant Colonel said, "Then do you know what it is?"

Yan Fei said, "It should be a ball of Mutant Cosmic Rules."

The Lieutenant Colonel approvingly said, "Indeed, Dream Island's technological strength is truly remarkable; you have also begun researching Mutant Cosmic Rules and saw its essence at a glance. Since you're also researching Mutant Cosmic Rules, you should know that within the radiation range of this Mutant Cosmic Rule, the cosmic rules we know will undergo earth-shattering changes. Many things considered reasonable outside might entirely not exist inside here. Conversely, you think I'm only a hundred years old and shouldn't have existed on Earth for many years, but under the radiation of this Mutant Cosmic Rule, I've reasonably existed on Earth for many years."

Yan Fei's Drone Avatar was rapidly heading through that amazing channel towards him, but it would still take some time to get here. What Yan Fei needed most right now was time. Fortunately, after being deliberately provoked, the Lieutenant Colonel, eager to prove her noble identity, began to explain her background to Yan Fei.

Thus, the situation Yan Fei most wanted had appeared. He decided to continue the conversation with the Lieutenant Colonel, stalling for time until his Drone Avatar arrived. He pretended not to understand and asked, "Your age and the time you appeared on Earth clearly don't match. Could this result from the Mutant Cosmic Rule?"

The Lieutenant Colonel did not directly answer Yan Fei's question but instead began to recount an apparently unrelated story, "Eighty thousand years ago, our Ape Tribe ancestors were massacred by your Outer Demons in great numbers. For survival, our ancestors had no choice but to risk leaving Earth, fleeing for their lives in the strange and dangerous Universe. If we hadn't fortuitously encountered a Great God-level Civilization that took interest in our Ape Tribe's bodies, we, the defenseless Ape Tribe refugees, would have perished in the Universe long ago."
