When it was fifteen minutes after lunch time approached, Adrian finally decided to dismiss the team.
"Let's meet up again after lunch," Adrian said.
'At least dismiss us on time!' Rayen grumbled inwardly as he huffed to catch his breath.
The others immediately cooled down before heading upstairs to eat. They had decided to reserve their whole week to practice their team performance. The others also agreed as they've been too focused with their individual performances. That, of course, made Adrian so happy that he tortured everyone for fun.
Along the way to the cafeteria, he was whistling a happy tune. For the first time in a while, Rayen didn't complain as it was really a thing worth celebrating.
As they arrived at the cafeteria, a loud laughter made its way even to the entrance. That caught Adrian's attention as his gossip antenna perked up.
"That's Xi Huan, right?" Rayen asked.
Beside him, Liam nodded in response.
The only person they could think of who would laugh heartily even in the midst of the final's tension was the happy-go-lucky Xi Huan.
And just as they expected, Xi Huan was laughing along with her teammates at one table. Except with Yeo Haru and Xu Jiji by her side, there was a new addition to her groups of soldiers — Mr. Big News.
Together, they watched something with her phone.
Seeing this scene, Rayen already knew what would happen next.
Adrian strode toward the four. His hand grabbed Xi Huan's head. "Why are you using your phone during meal times?"
Xi Huan lifted her head and grinned at Adrian. "Look, we saw something interesting!"
Adrian still had a scowl on his face, ready to reprimand her when Xi Huan brought the phone closer to his face. Suddenly, he went silent.
Rayen blinked.
'What's something so interesting that this guy forgot about his beliefs?'
Rayen and Liam also went closer to see this seemingly interesting video that Xi Huan made Adrian watch.
Then, they met eye to eye with a very familiar face.
Rayen's lips twitched.
'Isn't this me?'
Rayen wasn't sure at first as his image was embellished. His bright red hair was elongated, cascading down his back. His lips also had a bright red stain.
"What the hell is this?" he immediately blurted out, his voice strangely sharp.
"Oh, Rayeye, you're here too," Xi Huan greeted, unfazed by his voice. "Have you seen this yet?"
"I am clearly seeing it right now. What's that?!"
"It's your love story!" Xi Huan answered.
Hearing Xi Huan's words, Liam and Adrian laughed beside Rayen. They were joined by Yeo Haru. Rayen glared at the three of them.
"Your fans made it for you."
The three laughing guys laughed even louder, their voices grating Rayen's ears. He couldn't take it anymore and kicked their asses.
"Ouch, don't be so violent, Eureka," Adrian complained.
"Shut up."
That word would probably haunt him forever. And now, there was another thing that would join the haunting too.
Rayen grabbed the phone from Xi Huan's hand before sitting down with them to watch the video from the beginning. The others gathered behind him except Xu Jiji and Mr. Big News, who remained proper on their seats, eating their meal.
However, Xu Jiji couldn't help his eyes wandering over to the screen of Xi Huan's phone.
As expected of a fan-made video, the editing was really unprofessional. However, it was still quite well-made… and artistic.
This fan really had a wide imagination.
The story began as Rayen still had "her" hair still black. "She" wandered off to the audition room, her long hair swaying with her every step.
When she looked at the cameras, her demeanor was a shy girl, panicking easily as the camera's gaze lingered on her.
"I was but a country bumpkin who was recruited to audition for a show…" A voice-over of a woman sounded from the phone speaker.
Just with that, Rayen already wanted to stop this video and demand it to be taken down.
It wasn't just a single video too. It was a couple of clips, cut out from the show and made into a mini series. All of these videos featured Rayen's female version.
The story was about Rayen, a beautiful maiden, scouted to join an idol show. There, "she" met countless beautiful boys and girls, who then became infatuated with her beauty.
For example, Adrian was her charming and handsome roommate. Liam was her childhood best friend, who was also scouted along with her, Xu Jiji was the aloof and cute little brother, and finally… the main male lead — Yeo Haru.
Yeo Haru was the popular cool and funny guy in the show whom Rayen was embroiled with right from the start of the show.
"I choose her…" Yeo Haru said in the video.
The original Yeo Haru, who had been laughing all along, suddenly turned silent when a bunch of flowers bloomed on the screen as the female Rayen's surprised reaction and his flirty expression were displayed side-by-side, ending the episode.
Yeo Haru and Rayen shivered in disgust.
'Seriously, who made this shit?'
Below the series' playlist, the username of the uploader fan seemed familiar to Rayen and the former members of Team Seven Flowers.
It was none other than AeMist.
The next video played and the conflict escalated into a bullying scandal. It portrayed the misunderstanding between the two.
Just then, Binh came into view. He was portrayed as the antagonist of their great love story, rallying the people into breaking their budding love. The negative responses and the ridicules of the netizens were turned into something like an opposition to their relationship.
'Wait…'
Finally, Rayen noticed something amiss.
How did they know the issue about Binh?
From the start, the show hadn't released anything regarding that incident, but now Binh became the collective villain in the story?
He still had no idea about the ongoing "confession" from Binh circulating the internet.
As Rayen wondered about this. The love story continued playing.
Love wins all. No matter how much the people were opposed to their relationship, their misunderstanding was resolved.
This AeMist was truly dedicated to her work. Even their interactions during the 3rd interim evaluation that was yet to air but had made it to the ending credits from the latest episode were included in the mini-series.
Overall, the script was flipped into an unknown direction, exaggerated to the point the Rayen could watch no more and handed the phone back to Xi Huan.
He would have to ask Mini Plotter to delete that shit down later.
Now, he couldn't even eat. He just proceeded to search for the anomaly he noticed.
Yet, from the background, Xi Huan decided to read the comments under the series, her voice loud and clear.
– Thank you for the candy! I love it!
– I knew it. These two really aren't enemies. They're soulmates!
– I am so sorry for doubting Rayen.
– Rayen is not a bully, he was the one bullied by others!
– I need season 2 please.
"Ah, c'mon! Stop! I don't want to hear it!" Rayen snapped.
