"Don't worry I am telling you everything. There is only one way I know to restore the memories of Watson and your family. There is a hidden tribe, older than kingdoms. They guard the knowledge of memory and ancient relics. They know how to bring back someone's memories. They know about reincarnation. They do black magic. So we are talking about them. Their location is hidden." He paused for a breath then continued...
"Three times," Veylan added quietly. "I've sent men. Soldiers. Guides. Each time, they were not succeed. Armies couldn't found them," He leaned closer now, his voice carrying a weight that pressed against Ren's chest. "But you… you are different."
Ren frowned. "Different how?"
Veylan's smile was faint, touched with sorrow. "Because you have the strength to find them. I've heard much about you. Do you know why the others failed? They lacked the power to see beyond reality. Your gift is different, unknown even to us. Perhaps that tribe exists in another dimension, that would explain why no one has ever found them. Sir Kiratava believes your power can open the gate to reach that place. Elara's gift was creation, so there is a strong chance that yours is destruction. If that is true, then you alone can break through the hidden walls and open the door to their dimension."
Ren's brows knit. "But how? If they live in another dimension, why must I journey across the world to find them? And even if I reach planet level… how am I supposed to use a power I don't understand?"
"You can," Veylan answered. "When you reach the planet level, you will be able to. But not fully. You can only destroy dimensions that are bound to this planet. That is what Sir Kiratava told me. I don't know why he said it must be this way, but his words were clear: You can, but only here. Not in other worlds, not in open space.
We found during our search operation one hidden book from the lost Kingdom buried beneath the old caves. It's our huge discovery. The book mentioned that to open another dimension gate, you need five keys. Not in the shape of keys. They are ancient relics.
Our exploration is still continuing. We don't know how old this history of magic is. Before magic discovery, ancient scriptures mentioned that 1 million years ago they used magic. And also after finding those five keys, you need an immense amount of dark energy. Currently you only have dark powers. You are the only dark magician left. Also…
Dimensions are tied to the laws of their origin. Each planet has its own lattice of energy, a field where space and time overlap. We are born within this lattice, so our resonance matches it. When one reaches planet-level strength, they can manipulate or even destroy dimensions but only those anchored to this world.
Beyond it, the resonance changes. The lattice of another planet rejects us. It's like trying to rewrite a book in a language you cannot understand. You might tear its pages, but you cannot change the story. That is why I believe only you can succeed. Our existence is bound to this planet's core. Here, we have influence. Elsewhere, we are only outsiders."
He drew in a breath, his eyes shadowed. "There is another reason as well. I have many enemies. If I launched a great search, or revealed the truth about Watson, it would only invite disaster. You, however… you understand me. You are Watson's friend. That is why I trust you. I've done all I can. The rest lies with you. People say money can solve anything, but that is not always true. Wealth and power often create as many enemies as they defeat. Watson is my only son. My heir. I cannot risk him."
Ren's throat tightened. He didn't fully grasp everything, yet the weight of Veylan's words pressed against his own scars, the loss of his parents, the bond with Watson, the strange path he had already stepped onto without even realizing it.
The chamber fell silent, broken only by the low hum of wards etched into the stone walls.
At last, Ervin spoke, his voice steady but subdued. "You want him to find them."
"Yes," Veylan said firmly. "For my son. For his friend. And perhaps… for more than just Watson. If he finds them, then he will bring back his family's memories too."
"Alright, I understand. But where must he search? He already asked you...if they are truly in another dimension, then what meaning is there in making this journey?" Ervin asked, his tone edged with doubt.
Veylan's gaze deepened."Well, as I told you he has to find those five keys. Its location is unknown. We have some clues but it's not sufficient. As I told you earlier, we had already made a search operation. But unfortunately we found those ancient scriptures and this ancient kingdom buried beneath the land in the old caves. In that scriptures and book, we found that every five years one grand calamity happens in certain places. This can be anything. Anything will make an opportunity to enter in the tomb of the keys.
The book mentioned about five places. They all are forbidden areas now. They are all located in different kingdoms and nations. In scripture written that every year calamity occurs in these areas. Calamity occurs in sequence. After analysing old data records of weather and disasters, we found that this sequence will start from the Veron Kingdom. Ren has to survive all calamities. In every calamity he will gain powers and one key.
After collection of all keys, he has to open the main tomb during the grand calamity. Where actual keys are present. Only dark magicians can survive and get the key. So, we have no options left. Only we can trust Ren. Anyway, Ren has to be part of those nations because they all are not allowed to enter those areas. We all signed a treaty. According to that, Ren has to prove himself first. Also, he has to find convergence points too."
Ervin asked."I understand. Now all is clear. But I have a question. What are convergence points?"
"This is where sir Kiratava's research matters. Not all dimensions drift separately like sealed rooms. Some brush against ours, thin places where resonance leaks through. We call them convergence points. They exist all around the cosmos. But for us they can exist only here, on this planet, because our lattice resonates with them. To find them, one must travel, search for those cracks where two realities overlap. A journey is needed not to reach another world directly, but to discover those doors hidden within this one."
The weight of Aurel Veylan's words lingered in the chamber.
Ren sat stiffly, his fingers laced together on the table as if holding himself steady. He had faced battles and horrors, but something in this man's calm gaze unsettled him in a way no blade had.
Ervin leaned back in his chair, giving space for the silence. His eyes, however, stayed sharp on Ren, waiting for the question he knew was coming.
Finally, Ren exhaled. "So… research says there are cracks between two realities. But what kind of cracks? If they were visible, you'd already have found them. So they're not?"
Veylan nodded. His tone carried no pity, only certainty. "You're right. Where two realities overlap, cracks appear, but not in any way the eye can see. They exist at the atomic scale. Tiny, like pinholes in space itself."
Ren frowned. "If they're that small, how can we even detect them? And how can someone pass through something so small?"
A faint smile touched Veylan's lips. He spoke with a patient respect. "A sharp mind, just as I heard. We've been researching this for years before this book and scripture's finding. If a crack exists, it won't reveal itself to sight. Instead, you must listen to the resonance of the world. When two dimensions overlap, the laws grow uncertain. Energy leaks. Gravity bends. Particles flicker between being and not being. That is the sign a doorway is near."
He leaned forward slightly. "We built a machine to measure those signs. It reads fluctuations in mana. You see, mana particles are not like atoms. They are smaller, far lighter. They can slip through places atoms cannot. When a crack forms, mana begins to leak or gather there. That is what our machine detects."
Ren's brow furrowed. "So it sends mana into the crack… and waits for them to bounce back?"
Veylan shook his head. "Not bounce. Resonate. When mana touches the boundary of a crack, it vibrates, like striking a chord on a string. That vibration spreads, and the machine picks it up. It's not that the particles return. It's that they make the dimensional wall hum, and we measure the echo."
He tapped the table gently, as if marking the rhythm of an unseen pulse. "On the scanner, it looks like a fracture in glass. Lines of light where the world has thinned."
