The Most Powerful Wealth System

Chapter 67: 67. Triangle love

"Listen, Angel, I don't want to fight with you. I swear I didn't do anything. I just had dinner with a coworker, that's all. I don't care whether you believe me or not, but I'm telling you the truth," said Riki, before stepping into the elevator that had opened.

Angeline remained silent, lost in her own internal debate. She felt very emotional, but she also knew she was no one to Riki now. In fact, she was the one who had decided to distance herself from Riki, ending their relationship so abruptly.

But now she was approaching Riki. It didn't matter whether her cousin liked Riki or not. She didn't even really care if Riki liked Liz or not. She was just using Liz's name as an excuse to get angry.

"Are you coming up in the elevator or not?" asked Riki.

Angeline quickly entered the elevator.

Inside the elevator, there was no conversation between the two of them.

They were both busy with their own thoughts.

But really, Riki didn't like the awkward atmosphere. But, on the other hand, he didn't know what to say. He didn't even know if what he had just said hurt Angeline or not. He just said what was on his mind.

"Angeline, I—"

"Riki—"

Suddenly, they spoke at the same time. Both of them became even more awkward than before.

"You go first," said Riki.

Angeline turned back to Riki. Her head tilted slightly upward because Riki was much taller than her, even though she was wearing high heels.

"I'm sorry if I'm being presumptuous by meddling in your affairs. We're broken up, so you're free to be with anyone. You're also free to sleep with any woman you like—"

Angeline was surprised when Riki suddenly pushed her against the wall. Angeline didn't know why, but she was mesmerized by the look in Riki's eyes, which seemed angry at her.

Why did Riki look so sexy when he was angry like that? If a person's gaze could kill, then Angeline would probably be dead by now.

"Do you think I would do something like that carelessly? Do I look like a jerk to you? I never even touched my ex-girlfriend because a woman's honor is very precious. How could you think—"

Riki immediately moved away when he heard that the elevator had opened. However, his gaze remained fixed on Angeline.

The girl also stared at Riki, with a calm look in her eyes.

Angeline wasn't afraid of him, even though Riki was showing his emotions.

"You and Hanna never did that?" asked Angeline.

Riki looked away, then replied.

"Of course not, even though we broke up, I loved her sincerely."

Angeline smiled upon hearing this, then pulled Riki's arm, exiting the elevator.

There was no further conversation with Angeline after that.

Riki felt strange about the girl.

Angeline still captivated Riki. She was a girl with extraordinary manners and etiquette. Whatever she did always looked elegant. Even when she was emotional, she still looked calm.

However, Riki felt very guilty.

Because he still couldn't like Angeline as much as Angeline wanted him to.

Inside Riki's apartment, Riki was surprised to see Liz and Kaivan there. They were having dinner. It seemed that Selene had cooked all the food.

"Angeline, you were gone for so long—oh, you're here, Riki? Have you had dinner? I made a simple country-style dinner," said Selene.

A beautiful and energetic young woman, that's the perfect way to describe Selene. She was really the female version of Sean.

She was easy to get along with.

In fact, Riki thought at that moment that Kaivan was closer to Selene than he was.

"I already ate at a friend's house," said Riki. He sat down at the dinner table, even though he was already full from the chicken curry he had made himself.

"I can smell the curry and wine," said Liz.

"I did eat that," replied Riki, not realizing he immediately smiled when he heard Liz ask him. That little thing did not escape Angeline's attention.

Angeline didn't know if Riki was aware of it or not, but he always smiled sincerely like that when he was with Liz.

"Why didn't you invite your friend here so I could eat that too? Now I want curry," replied Kaivan.

Riki glared at Kaivan, "Why would I—"

"I want some too, Rik. It would be delicious if you cooked it," Liz replied, silencing Riki immediately.

Riki nodded, "Alright, I'll make it. I'm sure you'll like it."

It didn't take long for Riki to dash to the kitchen and make chicken curry at Liz's request.

Selene, who was seeing this for the first time, was amazed.

"You can order Riki around like that? Riki looks tired, his eyes are narrowed, he looks sleepy. But he immediately rushed to cook when you asked him?" Selene asked, still unable to believe what she was seeing.

Selene knew that Riki was a very kind person, but he wasn't someone who would do something if he wasn't in the mood. However, even though Riki was tired, it was as if his energy was still full after hearing Liz's request.

"Is this the first time you've seen him like that? I'm sick of seeing it," replied Kaivan.

"Does Riki like Liz?" whispered Selene, so that Riki couldn't hear her.

"I think so," replied Angeline quickly.

"Stop it, you're embarrassing me," replied Liz, her face reddening from their conversation.

"Do you like Riki too?" Selene asked Liz, still whispering so that only the four of them could hear.

Liz smiled shyly at that, making Selene chuckle. Selene could see that the girl also liked Riki.

"If you like each other, why don't you just date?" Selene asked again.

"We can't! We're busy with college and our careers. Besides, the three of us suddenly passed the audition, right? How about you, Angeline, are you going to sign the contract later? I mean, you already have several jobs," said Liz.

Angeline smiled, "You know I'm a hard worker, right? Of course I'll sign the contract! Besides, this is Hayper Entertainment, a promising big agency."

"Wait a minute, how many jobs does Angeline have right now?" asked Selene, confused.

"She's been a model since she was a child, whether it's clothing, advertising, or catwalk modeling. She's also an influencer on social media, not to mention that she's been working at Little Heaven lately," replied Liz. She was very proud of her amazing cousin.

However, Liz's attitude made Angeline secretly feel very guilty.

Riki stopped running and turned around. He smiled when he saw Liz running with difficulty behind him.

Riki chuckled softly at the sight of the girl running slowly, chasing after Riki who was standing still.

Liz didn't like sports. But she liked dancing.

Liz had even repeatedly refused Angeline's invitations to do pilates.

However, she immediately agreed when Riki invited her to jog around the building.

Not only around the building, Riki began to invite Liz to go to the Arcelia River.

It was the weekend.

It was time for people to go on vacation.

That meant the Arcelia River would be crowded with visitors, and the number of vendors around there would also increase.

Riki reached out his hand when Liz got close, then he caught the girl's body, which immediately collapsed after getting close to him.

"Don't laugh, Riki!"

"Do you dislike sports so much that you're this weak?"

"I'd rather dance for hours than do sports like this."

Riki invited the girl to sit on one of the park benches. From there, they could see the view of the Arcelia River clearly.

"Isn't that just as tiring?" asked Riki.

Liz shook her head, "No, I like it, so I'm not tired."

Riki chuckled, then he reached out his hand again to pat the girl's head gently.

"But you looked excited when I asked you to go jogging earlier. Even Kaivan was still sleeping in his room," said Riki.

Liz and Kaivan were staying at Riki's apartment. However, Kaivan preferred to sleep in Sean's room rather than sharing a room with Riki.

Sean, who had just returned home, had to give in and sleep with Riki.

In fact, Riki wanted to kick him out so he could sleep at his own house.

But as expected, Kaivan was too worried about Liz, even though Selene was there.

Angeline? She went home by taxi.

"Of course I was excited because I was doing it with you."

"At five in the morning like this? The sun hasn't even risen yet," replied Riki.

"Precisely because the sun hasn't risen yet, we can enjoy this quiet atmosphere together."

Riki laughed when he heard this.

Then, for a moment, they were silent. Enjoying the moments alone together. Waiting for the sun to rise.

Riki turned his head and looked at Liz, who had her eyes closed. She felt the soft breeze blowing gently on her face.

Beautiful.

Liz had always been beautiful as far as Riki could remember.

Riki used to think that Liz wouldn't like him.

But now that he knew she liked him, he came up with many unreasonable excuses not to clarify their relationship.

Riki's memory returned to last night, when Angeline saw Riki leaving Celine's apartment.

Riki felt caught red-handed at that moment, feeling guilty towards Liz, who didn't even know anything about Celine.

Without realizing it, Riki's face was right in front of Liz's.
