Rui's breakthrough to the Transcendent Realm had come as a welcome surprise to the Emperor of Harmony. He looked forward to seeing just how far down his Martial Path his son would go. He was especially eager for his son to become a Martial Transcendent and gain enough power to secure the survival, future, and prosperity of human civilization.
Meanwhile, his attention returned to the most immediate problem plaguing the Panama Continent. The environmental disaster at the very bottom of the Great Void Ocean was one that loomed over all life in the world as the cracks deepened and the environmental disaster only seemed to deepen as lava continued spewing out from cracks in the ocean floor, causing the entire ocean to heat up.
He skimmed through the general response from the nations of the true world, curiously browsing the general expressed sentiment.
[The Marne Hybrid Republic calls for a joint initiative to combat environmental disaster in the Great Void Ocean.]
[The Slovein Society proposes a collective task force to evaluate and solve the problem of the active lava outlets across the ocean floor of the Great Void Ocean.]
[The Slavanic Flock calls upon the six powerhouse civilizations to deploy their power for the good of all civilizations in the world.]
The nations that were on the outer coast of the six continents facing away from the Panama Continent were the most eager for action to be taken, for they were closest to the Great Void Ocean and were already starting to experience effects from the disaster.
They were the ones who had suffered the most from the battle between Rui and Lord Shenlong in the first place, leaving them most weary after combating the destructive tsunamis at their very strongest without having the power of the six powerhouse civilizations in the world.
The Emperor of Harmony was hardly surprised by their public statements to try to draw as much attention and support to the matter. It was true that in order to solve the problem, one would need the power of all six species and their strongest civilizations.
The Emperor of Harmony was also inclined to agree with their calls for pooling their power to solve this catastrophe. He had already prepared a press conference that would be broadcast even to the true world. The Panama Continent had finally managed to make its communication technology compatible with that of the true world, allowing it to partake in the international community.
He planned to use this severity and the long-lasting consequences of this disaster to force all six civilizations to come together and form a plan. Considering just how severe the impacts of this catastrophe had come to be, it would be very easy for him to leverage public pressure to force these civilizations to play ball with each other for the time being on this particular issue.
After his talk with Matriarch Nephi, who had come to inform him of Rui's achievement of becoming a Transcendent Candidate, he immediately prepared himself for the press conference as a professional team had groomed him for his public appearance.
His attire comprised a gold-white color theme, with multiple layers of extravagant and ostentatious cloth, while his golden hair was neatly combed. His heavy crown perched on his head, signifying his authority as the Emperor.
"We're ready, Your Majesty," his secretary informed him with a formal tone, carrying a digital clipboard with her in her arms.
He simply nodded as he got up from his private chambers, heading to the door when the doors flew wide open. Emperor Rael frowned as he found a panting official at his door, appearing frantic despite his exhaustion.
His serious eyes turned to Emperor Rael. "Your Majesty, we have found an anomaly in the waters and the depths of the Great Void Ocean! The intelligence was extremely sensitive, so we deemed it necessary to brief you in person! Please come up with us right away!"
Emperor Rael's expression grew severe. "…Anomaly?"
The official nodded. "We have prepared a briefing for you, it is of the highest priority possible with high stakes estimated to affect the strategic outlook of our entire civilization in the true world!"
The Emperor of Harmony nodded with a serious expression, turning to the secretary. "Cancel the press conference and reschedule it. Inform them that I have had to deal with unforeseen circumstances."
"Yes, Your Majesty."
Emperor Rael quickly found himself in his office, where the Director of Intelligence himself had been waiting for him personally with a grave expression.
The air tingled with tension as the officials gathered to brief him, and the tension remained extremely intense.
"What's this about?" Emperor Rael took his seat at the table with a serious expression.
"It is a nightmare, Your Majesty," the Director of Intelligence informed him with a stiff expression. "Our scientists have confirmed the existence of substantial amounts of negatron particles in the lava emerging from the depths of the planet."
Emperor Rael's eyes widened with shock. "What?"
His tone was stunned.
"We have double-checked and triple-checked with different labs just to be absolutely certain, but there's no doubt about it." The Director handed him a file containing the scientific report of the presence of negatron particles in the lava and the images of the purple-streaked lava spreading across the ocean floor.
The Emperor of Harmony skimmed through the data with a hardened, grave expression. "But… this lava emerged from deep within the planet, correct?"
"Yes, Your Majesty. The core, to be precise."
"Then…" Emperor Rael gazed at him with a severe gaze. "Does that not imply that there is negatron matter in the depths of the core of the planet?"
"…That is indeed the most logical conclusion, Your Majesty. Even if it does seem strange."
"Strange?" The Emperor of Harmony repeated those words with a hint of disbelief. "It's beyond absurd. How can there possibly be exotic matter of a particular kind within the depths of the planet?!"
His emphatic tone was uncharacteristic of him. Yet, he couldn't be blamed for it, considering the sheer insanity of the circumstances.
