Corey knew very little about Immortal Weapons and their abilities. What he knew was that Immortal Weapons had a spirit in them, and that they were extremely powerful weapons that could catastrophic destruction on a planet.
If not for the fact that they were in a space that was a lot more solid and powerful than that of New Earth, nearly half of New Earth would have been destroyed.
It would have become a flaming desolate wasteland, and the number of deaths would be in the billions.
Immortal Weapons were extremely rare even amongst Immortals, and it was not uncommon for an Immortal to possess a Violet Grade weapon- a mortal weapon.
But once an Immortal obtained an Immortal Weapon, even if it was a low grade one, the Immortal's battle prowess increases tremendously.
With a powerful Immortal Weapon, a Tier 7 could kill a Tier 8 without one. That was how significant an Immortal Weapon was to an Immortal.
Corey gazed at the destruction below him with a fascinated and intrigued expression. The burning space was what intrigued him the most, and although he wished to study how space could be burnt, he did not have the luxury.
He looked Pope Arzhel who had a light smile on his face.
"Lightning fast reflexes. I've noticed ever since the Underworld that your reflexes have always been one of your rather... many strong... You know what, you're a freak."
"I don't know if you have any weakness. You're fast, strong, good reflexes, an absurd quantity of mana reserves, you have a rather powerful healing ability, you can manipulate poison, you're talented in swords and axes. Your comprehension ability is very high. Your soul and spirit are definitely not weak because if it was, you would not have so many abilities in the first place."
"I mean, what the fuck don't you have? Don't you think it's unfair you have everything?"
"An assassin is fast but is mostly weak and has poor defense. A mage has a lot of mana but has poor defense and strength. A swordsman is mostly average in all stats. Nothing to the extreme unlike a mage and an assassin. And the other common classes... Well, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about."
Pope Arzhel shook his head, and then he pointed one of his battle axes at Corey.
"You're an anomaly, Corey. And to be honest, I find you an interesting experiment. I don't want to kill you if possible, but unfortunately, I will."
Pope Arzhel placed his arm in a swinging position, and just as he was about to swing his axe at Corey, a ROAR resounded in the entire space.
BOOM!
A powerful and massive explosion shook the entire space. Corey and Pope Arzhel created barriers in front of them that protected them from the shockwave and the energy of the explosion, and then they looked at the source of explosion.
"Now that's interesting." Pope Arzhel muttered with a light raise of his brow as he looked at Anton who had changed.
The leader of the Freedom Fighters was now a monstrosity made out of corpses, bones, and different body parts placed together to form a massive humanoid monster with a dozen arms and massive eyes all over his body.
"Have you forgotten about me?"
Corey frowned as he looked at Anton's new form.
"You fused with the world tree to gain more power, but I have a more powerful and a more deadly treasure than the world tree. You're dead mortal."
Corey's frown deepened slightly before his eyes flickered with surprise.
His pure white eyes had a tiny yellow dot at the center, and Simon could see the weakness of Anton's new form.
No.
Not weakness.
Weaknesses.
Corey was taken aback when he so many weaknesses on Anton through his Eyes of Truth and Judgement, but when he used the world tree's powers to pierce through Anton's defenses and see his inner system, he knew why Anton had so many weak spots on his body.
The first was simple. Anton was not the true owner of the Book of Death. He was not compatible with it in the slightest, and though he had no idea, using the Book of Death was killing him.
If he had a high compatibility with the Book of Death, his current form would not be so monstrous but more... beautiful and dangerous.
Corey knew this, and he was grateful for this.
The second reason why Anton had so many weaknesses was because of Corey himself.
Or to be more precise, because of his actions in the Underworld.
The Neon Mutants.
When Corey appeared in this space, he had seen Prince, the previous leader of the Devourers who had transformed into a Neon Mutant in the Underworld, and Corey was truly surprised when he saw Prince.
The Clown had blown up the Underworld, and by all means, Prince and every of his Neon Mutants should be dead.
But Prince was not.
He was alive, and he was no longer a Tier 5 but a peak Tier 6.
Corey had no idea how Prince was still alive and how he was now a Tier 6. Though he was curious, he was glad that his Neon Mutants had somehow ended up in the hands of Anton.
'The Neon Mutants are actually dead, and for Anton who has the Book of Death and can control the dead, there's no way he won't choose to make them his subordinate.'
'Prince is one of my original creations, but the other Neon Mutants are not. They're not members of the Underworld, and they seem to have been transformed by Prince.'
'I'm curious about the story here.'
A cold light flashed in Corey's eyes, and then he smiled at Anton.
"What's so funny?" Anton rumbled in his monstrous form, causing shockwaves to shake the surrounding space.
Corey scoffed. "Have you ever heard the saying that don't take what doesn't belong to you?"
"What?"
Corey shrugged. "I thought so."
He pointed at Anton, and then he closed his right hand into a fist.
"Offer your lives to me."
