Dual Cultivation: Ying Yang is way to Chaos

Chapter 208: Information

How could Bai Lian not see through it? She didn't care though. If Lin Feng entered the ruin, none of them would leave it alive anyway.

But since this woman wanted to play mind games, she would indulge her. "So you are saying that you wouldn't let me enter if I wanted to enter without any exchange with you?"

The woman frowned at this question. Technically they wouldn't have obstructed Bai Lian. Doing so would bring far more disadvantages in the real world for them.

Forget about being banished from the Skycloud Auction Pavilion; Bai Lian could literally use her connections to bully them unconditionally.

Their status wasn't high enough for their sect to meddle in something like that.

This was the reason they had even offered her to join them for that single spot. Even now she had only used this as an exchange because she didn't have anything that could entice Bai Lian.

Sigh... it seemed she had to think of some other way. "It's not like that, Sister Bai. I meant to say that we will protect you as our own inside the ruin."

Bai Lian smirked at that answer. "No need. I don't need your protection. Now tell me anything else you can give me. This is the last time I will hear. After that, forget about getting any information from me."

The woman thought for some time and just as she was about to answer, Lin Feng stepped inside the safe zone. She sighed inwardly. "How about half of the treasures the Yin Yang Harmony Sect gains from this ruin?"

"Sister Pei—"

"Leave it. It's better to have some information than die blindly..." The woman stopped the disciple from speaking.

Bai Lian shook her head. She doubted these guys could even get anything from the ruin. They had to survive first, so there was no point in agreeing to it. "You know what? There are exactly the same number of treasures inside the ruin as the minimum number of cultivators required to enter it.

So let's assume you guys get all eight of them. That would be eight peak-tier grade-4 treasures. But all of this is only possible when you survive. If you die, then who will fulfill this promise?

So let's not talk about what you can give me in the future. Give me something right now. In fact, let me make things simple for you... you all must have prepared good-quality talismans, right? Give me the equivalent amount of those right now and I will give you the information you need... unless you ask something I really can't answer."

The woman thought for a single breath. It was a good deal actually. They couldn't use those talismans here anyway. "Alright..."

One thing was still ringing in her mind though. Bai Lian had mentioned them dying as if she wasn't confident in them surviving. Was she just scaring her or being genuine? "Give me your talismans."

All of them took out their talismans, and she decided on a total of sixteen early- and mid-stage talismans of grade 4, all medium to high tier.

"This should be almost equal value, right?" The woman looked at Bai Lian while showing the talismans in her hand.

Bai Lian nodded. "That will do. Now ask. I will answer only a few questions." She came down and landed in the safe zone before the woman.

The woman passed the talismans to her, and Bai Lian put them inside her storage ring.

"So, about the question... those who entered with you were..." She knew that Bai Lian would understand what she was trying to ask.

"Well, they were all Soul Sea realm cultivators: two from your sect, one from the Crimson Flame Palace, and two were from other powers..." Bai Lian answered.

The woman squinted her eyes. "How?" Surely the test wasn't that difficult, right?

Bai Lian shrugged her shoulders. "What kind of question is that? Some died from the beast, one died from falling into the abyss, while one detonated his core. Now don't ask for specific details..."

The woman frowned listening to that. It didn't help much, and why would someone detonate their core? Was the situation really that tense? Just as she was thinking that, the three cultivators who had gone deep into the forest came back.

When they looked at Lin Feng standing inside the safe zone, they were stunned.

They increased their speed and came to the safe zone immediately. "How the hell is he here? Where is that idiot Huo?"

"Forget about other things. Why the fuck is he inside the safe zone?"

The woman sighed. "Calm down. Huo Liang is dead. We will talk about other things after I finish asking some questions to Sister Bai."

The three disciples were shocked listening to the fact that Huo Liang had died. They all looked at the masked cultivator with frowns. One by one they came down and waited by the side just like the other two disciples.

The woman turned her attention back to Bai Lian. "Sister Bai, is it possible to exploit the test to kill someone?"

Bai Lian's lips curled up. "Yes... and the first person to try that to kill someone was from your sect, Zhao Lei."

The woman's eyes widened alongside the other disciples'. Zhao Lei was one of the top five Core Formation realm cultivators of their sect. If what Bai Lian had told them was true, then wouldn't it mean that he was dead?

The woman calmed herself down and thought for some moment before deciding to ask another question. "Who was he trying to kill?"

Bai Lian shook her head. "I won't answer anything like that. It won't help you anyway... ask anything else—"

"Ahh... there is no need to hide it. It was me." Lin Feng spoke with an amused tone. "I told him that I am immortal. He wanted to test it... now he is in the abyss. Who knows if he is alive or dead? Only the senior of this dimension can tell about it."
