Seeing Lin Feng run like his life depended on it stunned Bai Lian, while every single disciple of the Yin Yang Harmony Sect smirked in disdain.

"Oh my, how fast. I might lose him in the next breath. Hahahahahaha..." The disciple from whom Lin Feng had run away laughed and immediately dashed to capture him, he didn't overly used his speed.

Because of this Lin Feng didn't have to increase his pace more than his current realm and when the disciple arrived near him, they were already deep inside the trees and away from the range of spiritual sense of Soul Sea realm cultivators.

No one was concerned about it though. In the end, it was a lower-realm cultivator. They kept a little attention on Bai Lian though; she was traveling with him, after all.

"Sister Bai, were you aware of this massacre?" one of the female disciples asked. Her tone was calmer than the others.

Although they didn't want to sour their relationship, it was still a very important question.

Bai Lian shook her head. "I just joined him after clearing the ruin. You must have seen the first ruin on this route; that was occupied by us. Only we two survived, so I just joined to travel alongside him..."

The disciples looked at each other. They had crossed that ruin, but there was something wrong here...

"You said that only you two survived?" another disciple asked while frowning. Others were also contemplating that.

"Indeed, a total of seven cultivators entered, and all others were killed in the test," Bai Lian said calmly.

This deepened the frown on the disciples' faces even more.

"Wait a second. Were all those who entered inside the ruin in Soul Sea realm, or just Core Formation realm like that masked guy?" someone else asked, thinking that this was the only logical reason for the others to die.

Bai Lian sighed. She was getting a little annoyed. "You know what? I am not obliged to answer anything, so go and find out yourselves."

"Ah... Sister Bai, please don't get angry. Just one more question. How did this guy survive a test made for Soul Sea realm cultivators? Was it not that dangerous?"

Bai Lian raised her eyebrows. "Dangerous, huh..." It was obvious to her that these disciples were going to enter for the first time, so it was quite clear they didn't understand how dangerous it was. "It is far more dangerous than your imagination. At least that was the case for us."

This stunned the disciples below. "Then how come this masked guy survived? Is there a way to survive easily?" the female disciple asked. She wanted to stay as prepared as possible.

No one was allowed to use talismans unless they had created them inside the inheritance site, so they doubted that the masked cultivator had used any high-grade talisman to escape... unless he really had found one such talisman here.

"Sister Bai, what rewards did you get from the ruin?" The woman tone was very polite so that Bai Lian wouldn't lash out again.

"And what makes you think that I will tell you about it?" Bai Lian was quite amused by that question. No one would like to disclose their treasures, not in a place like this especially.

"Ah... Sorry, I didn't mean it like that. Have you seen what that masked cultivator got? I mean, did he get any talismans?" The woman didn't showed an embarrassed expression, she still asked for some other information.

Bai Lian raised her brows a little. So this woman was after that. "I don't know what he had gotten because who gets what is based on luck and is hidden from others."

The woman nodded. "Thank you for telling us that."

"Three of us should stay here. The others, go and check what is taking him so long... If he was just playing around, then beat him along with that masked cultivator." The woman spoke, and others nodded.

Bai Lian could see that the others were following her orders, so she wasn't just ordinary.

Three disciples immediately flew towards the forest where the masked cultivator and their sectmate had disappeared.

They flew for some time but still didn't find anyone. They were flying quite cautiously with their spiritual sense open. So it was obvious that the masked cultivator and their sectmate had gone far deeper.

"It seems like that wretch really got an escape talisman. Without that, he wouldn't have had the chance to escape Brother Hou..."

"Yeah, but what should we do now? Search them? We don't even know if they went straight on this path or not..."

"Let's go a little bit further. If we don't find them, then we will return..."

"Alright..."

They all flew deeper, totally unaware that their companion had already turned to ashes and that the person responsible for it was looking at them flying away.

Lin Feng had pulled this disciple into the forest so that others wouldn't be able to see his strength. Otherwise they would be scared to face him.

Not to mention they wouldn't leave the safe zone where he could target them, and later, once he left, they would have passed the information among themselves and might have avoided going in the main ruin too.

As for how they weren't able to sense him using their spiritual sense, it was a simple technique that hid him from spiritual sense.

Most of these techniques worked on a simple procedure: minimizing the spirit qi emission from the body as much as possible, or changing the way it emitted to look like a different object instead of looking like a human.
