10,000x Critical Hit…

[You can now advance your level and class up to Level 60]

Axton's lips curved into a small grin as he read the floating messages one after another. This was exactly what he had been working toward — the result of his persistence and risks finally paying off.

He had gotten what he wanted.

With these new prompts, it meant that the limitation that held him down — the barrier at Level 20 — had finally been broken. He was now free to progress far beyond that point, unlike Guja, who was trapped and unable to move further.

For the first time, he felt like he could breathe freely again.

Without hesitation, he opened his status screen and funneled the enormous amount of experience points he had accumulated from the quest. His entire body glowed as the familiar sensation of power coursed through him.

*Ding*

[You have leveled up!]

[+10 Levels]

[You have gained +50 Free Stat Points to distribute randomly]

[Clone: Lv. 20 → Lv. 30]

[Terra Dragon: Lv. 20 → Lv. 30]

[Great Bear: Lv. 20 → Lv. 30]

A radiant light enveloped Axton and his companions.

His clone's aura thickened, flickering with faint arcs of energy.

The Terra Dragon let out a low rumble from the resting plane, its scales hardening to an even deeper shade of bronze, while the Great Bear — the hulking creature that fought beside him — exhaled steam as if releasing excess energy from its sudden surge in power.

The power boost was instantaneous.

Every one of them had just ascended ten full levels, their strength, speed, and defense growing dramatically.

Axton clenched his fists, feeling the new rush of energy surging through his veins. The difference was tangible — his reflexes sharper, his senses clearer, his entire body more alive than before.

Nevertheless, levelling up was never an easy feat for him.

His path was always more complicated compared to other players. Every bit of growth came at a cost. He had to burn massive amounts of experience points just to push forward — whether it was himself, his clone, or his beasts.

Even his skills and items required exp to evolve, making progress both expensive and strategic.

He sighed softly and opened his inventory. Among the rewards from the last battle were several Grade 4 skill-less items: a pair of daggers and a bow.

They were finely crafted, their quality apparent at first glance, but they lacked the one thing Axton truly cared about and that was skills.

For any ordinary player, those weapons would have been treasures.

Grade 4 and Grade 5 items with strong base stats were enough to make them formidable in battle. But for Axton, plain attack boosts meant nothing.

He valued versatility, adaptability, and most importantly, skills that could change the tide of battle.

That was why his eyes moved past the weapons and locked onto something else — a glowing, crystalline shard resting quietly in his inventory.

[The Frost Crystal]

It had come alongside the bow and daggers, but it was the one item that had truly caught his attention the moment he saw it. The crystal pulsed faintly with a cold, bluish hue, sending light particles drifting across his palm when he held it.

He remembered its description clearly.

It could grant its user not just a skill, but temporary access over the ice element.

Axton smirked. "Now this… this might be worth something."

He selected the item.

10,000x Critical Hit…

[Your item has been upgraded]

[Please choose one]

[1. 10,000 Frost Crystals]

[2. 1 Frost Heart]

He didn't need to think twice. "Frost Heart…"

The Frost Crystal in his hand shattered, dispersing into a blinding storm of icy mist before condensing again.

This time, it turned into a small, heart-shaped core of ice. The frozen heart pulsed rhythmically, beating faintly like a living heart.

[Frost Heart]

[Rank: Mythical]

[Level: 20]

[Effects: Grants advanced mastery over the Ice Element]

[Skills: Great Ice Wall, Frost Assault, Ice Armour]

Axton's eyes widened.

A Mythical item!

This was the first time he had ever seen one, much less owned it.

He tapped to expand the skill descriptions.

[Skill: Great Ice Wall]

[Rank: Legendary]

[Level: 1]

[Description: Creates a massive wall of ice that increases the user's defense by +1000 stat points.]

[Effect: Adds +120% Attack Stats.]

[Skill: Ice Armour]

[Rank: Legendary]

[Level: 1]

[Effect: Adds +120% Defense Stats.]

[Description: Creates a thick armor of ice around the user's body, drastically reducing incoming damage.]

[Drawback: Consumes 400 mana points.]

Axton's jaw nearly hit the ground.

"Three legendary skills… from a single item?" he muttered under his breath.

He rubbed his eyes once to make sure he wasn't imagining things and then he did it again.

The texts didn't change.

Every line remained exactly the same.

Three legendary rank skills attached to one mythical grade item.

He couldn't help but laugh softly, shaking his head in disbelief. "This is insane…"

It was beyond anything he had ever obtained.

The Frost Heart wasn't just a treasure.

It was a complete game-changer!

The power boost it offered was so massive that even the strongest players would kill to get their hands on something like this.

Each skill was versatile, useful for both defense and offense.

The Great Ice Wall could block devastating attacks,

Frost Assault could annihilate large groups of enemies, and Ice Armour provided unmatched protection in close combat.

The only downside was obvious.

It was the mana cost.

He glanced at his status screen.

His mana pool, while respectable for his level, wasn't nearly enough to sustain repeated use of such high-cost abilities.

Casting any of those skills more than a few times would drain him dry.

"Of course… there's always a catch," Axton muttered with a smirk.

Regardless, the benefits far outweighed the drawbacks.

This was a major leap forward in his journey.

Axton equipped the Frost Heart.

The heart-shaped crystal merged into his chest, dissolving into his skin like liquid light.

Instantly, a faint chill spread through his body, his breath turning white.

His fingertips glowed faintly blue, and his aura shimmered with an icy undertone.

He clenched his fist, and a thin film of frost spread across his hand like armor.

The sensation was exhilarating.

It was cold, sharp, and powerful.

He exhaled softly, watching as his breath froze in the air.

"Looks like I've just added another element to my arsenal."

The sense of progress washed over him like a wave.

He had gone from being locked at Level 20 to becoming someone capable of wielding legendary level elemental power, all in a couple of moments.

But Axton wasn't satisfied.

Not yet.

He opened his stat window again, eyes narrowing.

His mana had to increase, or else these new powers would be nothing more than ornaments.

Beautiful but useless in a real fight.

"There's no point having such powerful skills if I can't use them when it matters," he murmured.

The frost aura around him faded slowly as he closed the window.

For now, he had reached another peak in his evolution but he had to handle the setback placed on it.
