With how much killing Axton had done in Tartarux, it was only natural that he would receive massive rewards.
But even then, he wasn't prepared for what he saw next.
The notification window blinked before his eyes like a streak of light, and as the numbers rolled across the translucent screen, Axton froze.
For a moment, he forgot how to breathe.
He had expected a large reward — maybe even something spectacular — but the amount of experience points that appeared after his critical hit registered was something else entirely.
"Fifty… thousand Exp?" he muttered in disbelief.
His mouth hung open slightly as his eyes darted from one notification to another.
Then, as if his mind suddenly caught up, the realization hit him like a wave.
Of course!
He had forgotten. His critical hit multiplier had been boosted to 10,000×.
It was no wonder the results were so absurd.
All that effort, all that bloodshed, all that chaos… it had finally paid off.
The battle against the ox demons had pushed him to the edge, but now, he was reaping rewards beyond comprehension.
Axton received nearly fifty thousand Exp from the invasion alone, alongside dozens of rare items and piles of coins.
When the final numbers tallied, the total nearly made his heart skip a beat.
…Five hundred million Exp!
Even for him, that was staggering.
A cold sensation crept down his spine as he stared at the enormous number glowing on the blue interface. His entire body tingled with excitement and disbelief. Every other reward paled in comparison to that number.
He swallowed hard.
This… this is insane.
His clone had also done its part, devouring countless demons, harvesting their essence until the accumulated energy formed into three dark, key-shaped items that pulsed with crimson light.
[Hell's Key(s) ×3]
Each one represented a ticket back into Tartarux.
In terms of rewards, Tartarux was a goldmine.
Dangerous, yes, but the returns were monstrous.
And this was only the Ox Demon Empire, one of the lesser regions of the demonic world.
Axton couldn't help but wonder… if the lower realms could yield such rewards, how much more would the upper ones offer?
He grinned, eyes gleaming.
Then his attention shifted to another notification, one that instantly captured his curiosity.
A new skill.
[Skill: Black Wings]
[Grade: 5-Star]
[Level: 1]
[Effect: Generates a pair of wings made of black energy that allows the user to ascend up to 5,000 meters in the sky. (Cooldown: 30 minutes)]
[Drawback: Requires Level 30 in all classes. Consumes 100 Mana per use.]
Axton raised an eyebrow. "Black energy wings, huh?"
He extended his hand, half-expecting something to happen but the system quickly reminded him that he didn't yet meet the requirement.
He chuckled lightly. "Guess I'll have to wait until level 30 then."
Regardless, it was an incredible find. A rare flying skill, one that most players could only dream of possessing.
For now, he decided not to upgrade it, choosing instead to focus on reaching the required level first. He would make his choice then, when his power had grown even further.
And with five hundred million Exp just waiting to be spent, Axton felt an almost childish excitement bubbling in his chest.
It was time to level up.
*Ding*
[Congratulations!]
[You have leveled up ×3]
[You have gained +15 Free Stat Points]
The notifications kept pouring in one after another, their rhythmic chimes echoing in his ears.
[Doppelganger: Lv. 15 → Lv. 20]
[Gained +25 Free Stats]
[Terra Dragon: Lv. 17 → Lv. 20]
[The Great Bear: Lv. 10 → Lv. 20]
Axton couldn't help but smile.
His companions were catching up fast. He made sure to distribute the points evenly, keeping all his summons and abilities balanced with his own growth.
Another notification chimed.
[You have reached Lv. 20]
[Class Advancement is now available]
[Class Advancement is required to continue leveling up.]
Axton blinked, slightly confused.
Class advancement?
It was standard procedure in New Eden. Every player had to advance their class upon reaching Level 20. Usually, it was done by completing a special quest tailored to their current path.
But Axton's situation wasn't ordinary.
He was already in an advanced Warrior subclass — the Demolisher Class — a tier far above what normal players could even access at this stage.
So why was the system prompting him for advancement again?
He frowned, crossing his arms.
"Does this mean there's another level beyond Demolisher?"
Then it clicked.
The village chief.
He recalled the mysterious parchment the old man had handed him before he left his starting village — an item he hadn't yet deciphered its true purpose.
"Maybe that's what he meant…" Axton muttered to himself. "Maybe that parchment is connected to my class advancement."
In this world, nothing happened to him by chance. Everything — every encounter, every quest, every strange coincidence — felt deliberate.
He just didn't have the proof.
And now, with this new restriction in place, his leveling had hit a ceiling. Not just for him, but for his clone and his summoned beasts too. None of them could surpass his level.
That meant only one thing.
It was time to return to Xearth.
But deep inside, he made a silent vow.
He would return to Tartarux.
Not immediately, but one day.
And when he did, it wouldn't be as a mere intruder. He would come back stronger, prepared to conquer the demonic realm itself.
Where others would be torn apart upon arrival, Axton would walk freely among demons, unafraid and unstoppable.
[You can now return to Xearth.]
A blinding flash enveloped him, and in the next instant, Axton vanished from Tartarux.

One by one, other players were arriving in the major cities scattered across the human realm. The atmosphere was vibrant — filled with excitement, relief, and endless chatter.
"Finally! I've left that miserable newbie village," one player exclaimed, stretching his arms.
"Now I can grow stronger without any limits!" another cheered.
"I wonder what kind of quests they have in the city. Maybe I can find a guild."
The air buzzed with anticipation.
And then, just as the players began to explore, the skies above Xearth shimmered, and a worldwide notification descended like a divine proclamation.
Axton's name appeared once again.
The message was brief, but the weight it carried was enough to silence the cities.
Axton had done something unthinkable.
He had shaken the foundations of Tartarux.
"Just when I thought I could finally start my journey…" muttered a young warrior named Kiran as he read the glowing text.
He sighed, disheartened with the notification.
Axton's achievements were so overwhelming that they constantly overshadowed every other player's progress.
And it wasn't just the humans of Xearth who noticed.
Across multiple realms including the demon world of Tartarux itself, his name echoed.
Some mocked it. Others feared it.
"A human shook the foundation of Tartarux?" a demon lord scoffed from his throne. "Pathetic."
But deep inside, even he couldn't ignore the faint unease creeping into his chest.
******
A notification appeared before Axton.
[You have gained +1000 Reputation points.]
[Reputation points upgraded.]
[Reputation points: 1000 → 10,000,000.]
Axton blinked at the massive number. "Ten million reputation points? Just what did I trigger this time…"
Curious, he summoned the world ranking list.
It had been a while since he last checked it, back when he was the first player to leave the newbie zone.
The rankings appeared in a neatly formatted interface.
[World Rankings]
[#1. Khan (Lv. 20)]
[#2. ArashiKage (Lv. 17)]
[...]
[#10. Real_Laxus (Lv. 15)]
Axton smirked.
Still on top. Of course he would be.
Not only was he the first to leave the village, but he remained the highest-level player in the entire world by a margin.
He closed the interface and took a deep breath of the forest air around him.
He had been transported back to a familiar location — a dense woodland not far from Atlas City.
The light filtered through the leaves above, glinting off the steel edges of his armor.
It was quiet. Peaceful. Almost too peaceful after everything he'd endured in Tartarux.
But Axton's mind was already working.
He had unfinished business — the village chief's parchment and whatever secrets it held.
He summoned a few of his soldiers.
They appeared in an instant, dropping to their knees in reverence to their commander.
"Is there anything you want, sir?" they chorused.
"I need information," Axton said firmly. "Find me a man named Guja. All I know about him is that name. Is it possible?"
"Yes sir."
The soldiers bowed in unison.
"As you command."
They vanished into the forest, leaving only faint ripples in the air.
Axton exhaled slowly, gazing at the distant horizon.
Tartarux might be behind him for now but he knew this was just the beginning.
Every step he took from here would bring him closer to the truth behind New Eden… and the mysterious force guiding his fate.
He clenched his fist.
"I'll return," he whispered, casting his eyes to the sky.
