" I don't appreciate you scaring my kids." Esmeralda couldn't see the face of her aggressor yet his voice had her thinking he was someone along the ages of 20-21.

" I said let go!" Esmeralda's eyes glowed emerald green. A green flame also began converging in her other hand.

" Young miss, you can't!" The old adventurer was dumbstruck, to think she was going to use a spell on the poor man. The Captain hurried to stop her.

" Emerald flame." Esmeralda casted an attack spell, firing a powerful ball of flame at Su Ping, with how close they were, the attack was instantaneous. The flames enveloped him before anyone could react.

" Honey!"

" Daddy!" Melinda and the kids were instantly terrified and worried.

" My emerald flame spell does nothing to harm it's caster, maybe in your next life, you'll think twice before disrespecting a noble." Esmeralda laughed, she didn't fear the emerald flames that wrapped around her wrist, instead she was glad that she had dealt with such a nuisance.

" Is this supposed to harm me?"

Esmeralda's face stiffened when she heard Su Ping's mocking laughter. The next moment, she watched as a dark flame emerged from beneath the emerald flame before devouring it completely, leaving nothing but burning dark flames to burn around Su Pings body.

" Arrgh!" Esmeralda winced in pain and retracted her arm when the dark flames singed her wrist. This time Su Ping let her go.

His words were carefree just now but he was lying when he said he felt nothing from her attack.

' So this is the strength of a Lvl 3 elite.' Su Ping winced inwardly. The attack just now felt like someone had soccer punched him in the chest.

He hadn't deployed the dark flames before Esmeralda's emerald flames so they played no part during her attack, The only reason he maintained the dark flame was to cover up his figure.

' Damned girl, she literally destroyed my entire outfit! Now I'm going to have to find another one.' Su Ping glared at Esmeralda.

" Brother please calm yourself. You've already done more than enough, any more than this and you would be putting the senior in a difficult position." Rugard suddenly intervened, standing Infront of Su Ping.

' This bastard, he's enjoying this isn't he...' Su Ping easily noticed the faint smirk at the edge of Rugards lips. But he knew he was right nevertheless.

He wouldn't want to attract the resentment of a noble just after he decided on growing his territory through legal means.

Having one less enemy was better than having one enemy after all. The adventurers all sighed when they saw that Su Ping wasn't going to push the matter.

" My wrist! Look what you've done to my hand!" Esmeralda glared at Su Ping while showing her arm.

The adventurer's frowned a little when they saw a small burnt mark that went round her wrist leaving the faint mark of someone's hands.

The wound was barely noticeable, plus they were sure she definitely had the means to heal herself, so why was she making such a fuss after attempting to kill the other party failed, wasn't she being too shameless.

" What? if your unhappy then go ahead." Su Ping took slow steps towards her.

The old man wanted to intervene but Rugard stopped him. " Trust me, he's not planning on doing anything to her." Rugard reassured the old man yet he was still skeptical, tensing his muscles Incase he needed to intervene at a moment's notice.

Esmeralda didn't know how to react when he suddenly began approaching her with his guard completely open.

" What? Are you too scared to attack? Weren't you displeased because of that little blemish." Su Ping chuckled before patting Esmeralda on the head, this time his flames didn't burn her.

" I have no intention of bullying someone weaker than myself. I'm glad your still a child, if not I might've taken that hit seriously." Su Ping ruffled up her hair.

He was half right either way, after all, Su Ping was already within his early twenties before being reincarnated, to him, Esmeralda would be no different than a little sister.

The adventurer's eyes all widened in disbelief at the sight, yet they all began to worry in silence. In that moment, the atmosphere seemed to have become so tense that one would think it had solidified.

" You!...mark my words, I won't forget this!" To everyone's surprise, Esmeralda yelled at Su Ping yet her eye's shimmered with actual tears. Before they could react, she turned around and headed back into her carriage, slamming the door behind her.

Su Ping suddenly felt awkward when faint sounds of sniffling and crying was heard from within the carriage.

A moment of silence ensued amongst the adventurer's before they all swarmed around Su Ping.

" Brother how did you do it "

" You actually managed to get her to keep quiet."

" Please tell us your secret." .

" Just how strong are you, To think you can still maintain your spell for this long."

The adventurer's all swarmed around Su Ping like fans meeting their favorite football star. Su Ping had to admit that they felt overwhelming all of a sudden.

" Stop it all of you, can't you see your disturbing the poor man." The old man sudden intervened, shooing them away from Su Ping, finally giving the draconian some breathing space.

" Young man please accept my sincerest thanks. You've helped this old man quite a bit."

' You to?' Su Ping was surprised that the old adventurer as well was thanking him.

' That girl must've been a real menace if even he's thanking me.' Su Ping couldn't help but wonder just what the old man and his group must've gone through at the hands of that troublesome so called heiress.

" There's no need to thank me senior, I just did what I thought was right. Besides, she was the one who was too stubborn to listen to reason." Su Ping said.

" I see, well even though, you have my thanks. This old man has been looking for an opportunity to finally get some rest from that little one." The old man sighed with relief.
