My Dragon King System

Chapter 148: Dignity Of Being Called Wives

And so, tentatively, they all tried to work out some sort of amicable relationship.

It wasn't perfect. There were awkward moments. Jealousies that flared up and had to be talked through. Boundaries that had to be set and respected.

But slowly, over the past month, it had started to feel… less impossible.

It also helped Aiden with accepting that part of himself. Laela was his first love, and would most likely be his truest love. But the possibility of other women in the picture, was no longer deniable.

And the system had rewarded him a new Dragon skill shortly after he accepted this reality.

[Dragon's Bond]

A skill which currently was at level 3, allowed him full control of the magic of those he shared a deeper emotional bond with.

So each time this skill was active, Aiden wouldn't just have a full control over fire magic, but also Plant Magic and Mass Magic.

Never needing to copy techniques from them again.

There was also one more thing with the skill. When Active, Aiden could tell where Laela and Arianna were at any given time.

The three of them eventually reached the city's gates, of which at this point Aiden decided to conclude their journey faster.

He grabbed hold of both their hands and instantly teleported away with them. They all reappeared infront of the guild's building.

In Dragonhold, Guilds were in proper standalone buildings, instead of being wings attached to one overall Academy structure.

Although the insides of the guild's building had the same layout like in Xathia. The main room was the first thing you entered into once you got past the door.

The Captain's chamber was around the same corner, and the rooms for mages were upstairs.

Aiden and both women had moved in, and well the earlier commotion with the captain had already come to an end

"The strongest man in dragonhold returns with his beautiful maidens!" Piers announced theatrically, with both arms stretched wide as if he were presenting royalty.

"Pff" Kayden had both arms folded, while looking away. Innis caught his reaction, and quickly placed her hand over her mouth to hide her giggling

"Hehe" Aiden laughed for a second, "you've been calling me that for the last thirty days"

"Tell me if i'm wrong friend" Piers said, still holding his pose.

Aiden sat down in their usual corner, whilst Laela and Arianna took a place on both his sides.

"Come on, Piers," Arianna said, narrowing her eyes at him. "Beautiful maidens? Really?"

"Young and pretty counts as Beautiful Maidens in my book" Piers stared right back with that grin on his face.

Laela had a light smile on her face but said nothing more.

Oliver sitting close to Elena on the opposite side, then asked, "Big Brother, what's the new clearing time?" He had this childlike look of anticipation on his face.

"Take a guess" Aiden said

"Fifteen? Ten? Seven?" Oliver threw out multiple guesses.

Aiden smiled, then glanced a bit at Laela who broke the record timing to Oliver, "slightly under five minutes Oliver"

"No wayyy" Oliver's eyes widened. The others looked a bit surprised too, before an amused demeanor returned to their faces.

Aiden's feats wasn't really a thing of shock anymore to any one of them.

"Urghh someone kill me already". Kayden threw a tantrum. "We get it, Aiden is strong, can we get one day without hearing that?"

The others laughed at Kayden's tantrum, piers called him jealous, and Innis teased him too.

Aiden had a smile on his face as he watched Kayden. He was somewhat pleased with how their relationship still maintained at the same level despite the events of the last one month.

Asides the fact that Kayden had a fair understanding of the sort of relationship between his first love, Arianna, Laela and Aiden, he also knew of Aiden's threat to his father.

Despite all that, he hadn't tried to be revengeful or scornful in the least. Which is what still appeared as a surprise to Aiden.

Aiden however had stopped giving Kayden a hard time, especially as sometimes he felt genuine pity for him.

Later on that night, Aiden who sometimes stayed in a separate room, was getting his clothes off when both Laela and Arianna stepped in.

They were in night gowns made of light cotton material.

On their faces, you could see that they both came to have a sort of conversation with Aiden.

"The faces on you two, what is it?" Aiden who had just pulled off his uniform, looked curious.

Laela sat beside him, her hand resting on his.

Arianna stood by the window, arms crossed, looking out at the city lights.

Laela spoke first. "This last month has been… difficult," she said quietly.

Aiden looked at her for a moment without saying anything, but he had a fair understanding of where she was heading, and waited on to her continue.

"It's not just about sharing you," Laela continued. "It's about… dignity. When it was just me, I understood what we were. But now, with Arianna…" She trailed off, searching for the words. "It feels out of place. Being called your lover. It doesn't feel… real. Not in the way it should."

Aiden frowned. "What do you mean?"

Laela turned to face him fully, her eyes serious.

"I mean that if we're really going to do this, then you need to give us both the dignity we deserve." She paused. "Marry us, Aiden. Both of us."

Aiden blinked twice, unsure of what he just heard.

Arianna turned from the window, her expression looked stern but in agreement.

"Laela—" Aiden started.

"I'm serious," Laela said firmly. "We both already talked about this. If you're asking us to share you, then we deserve that. I deserve that."

Arianna stepped closer. "She's right. Moreover we are Xathian women. There's more dignity in being called your wives, than lovers "

Aiden looked between them, his mind racing.

And then, of course, the system chimed in.

"Oh, you've got to be kidding me." Aiden whispered himself then sighed heavily.

Nothing had ever prepared him for this. Nothing at all.

Then he looked at both of them. "You're both serious about this."

"Yes," they both answered in unison
