Most of the gods in Eden were ancient, so old that they had witnessed, time and again, the Great Black, Thyrak, shifting his essence from one vessel to another. Whether it be human, elf, or otherwise.
"Look at the bigger picture Herxes, this could be our chance to finally become something more than lesser gods, or do not grow weary of standing at duty posts?" Rhyos sounded very ambitious.
"How do you mean?" Herxes looked lost or confused at where Rhyos was heading to.
Rhyos sighed. "You may be my closest friend Xerxes but you're a bumbling idiot." Then he tapped the side of his head twice, "Common think friend, what have He Who Shall Not Be Named or Even The All-father coveted the most from Dragons?"
Realisation then dawned on Xerxes' face, "Ohhhh yes, A Boon!"
Rhyos said, "Exactly!" Then grinned deviously.
…
Meanwhile as Aiden walked, he abruptly stopped then lifted his face up at the skies and narrowed his eyes, as if he was searching for searching for something.
He lowered his head and muttered, "hm… just now i felt someone's gaze on me"
However he shook his head and continued on his way, dismissing the feeling as nothing.
A moment later, he was now standing in front of the Oberon and his forces who still stood behind the cut off space.
He dispelled his space skill and the tears in space disappeared, although the ground that was split in two, did not fix back to normal.
But for some reason, there was a moment of silence, and not one soul made an attempt to even agitate or question why Aiden had locked them away.
There were mixed feelings of fear and respect, but dominantly fear.
Aiden looked Oberon in the face and said, "You may Cease control of Dragonhold if you wish, but I give you these clear warnings. Take heed for it will be the first and it will be the final.."
Oberon's face looked so frustrated, as he tried to wrap his head around the fact that he was being spoken to in this manner and yet could not muster the feeling to refute or speak back.
Aiden continued, raising his index finger up "You will let the bested Captains and Grand Magus return to their homes. They are total useless as it is and can be of no threat."
He raised the next finger, "Do not for any reason, harm a hair on any person who has willingly surrendered. Most especially, the rest of House Crowley still within that city. Jarius' death shall serve as enough recompense for any ill feelings towards the Name Of Crowley"
Selene standing not so far away, and who was within ear shot, clenched her first in frustration and his face contorted into a frown.
How dare this boy try to deny her a revenge she sought?
It pissed her so much that at that moment the system recognized her negative emotions towards Aiden and put out a warning notification
[Malicious Intent Detected]
This Notification highlighted around Selene, causing Aiden to turn his face briefly towards her. He quickly understood that of course she wanted revenge by taking out the crowleys like Jarius did to her extended family.
But however, a warning was warning, and that applied to her as well.
Aiden then shifted his focus back to Oberon, "your transition to the throne shall be as peaceful as ever. Do I make myself clear?"
That last question had within it the highest levels of disrespect Oberon had ever felt in his life that his pride could not let him mutter out an answer.
After a moment of silence, Aiden's face took on a subtle transformation. Dragon fangs grew out and the corners of his eyes became scaly just by a bit. The slits in his eyes became a bit more evident
And with that he let out a deafening roar that carried with it the Aura of Fear, sending every single thing before him into a state of quivers.
Then he asked again, with a much louder tone "Do I make myself clear?!"
Oberon forced a nod at this point.
"Good" Aiden then turned and vanished out of sight.
Oberon gritted his teeth afterwards. Aiden had humiliated him in front of the very army he led.
Yes they had just won the war, but didn't not in any way feel like victory worthy of celebrating.
Not only had the keys to the kingdom been handed to him so easily, like an undeserving child had been given an inheritance, but Oberon had also been handed out orders on how he may start begin his rule.
There was that sudden realisation that with Aiden around, he may never truly be King.
There was a long moment of uncertainty from everyone in the field as they wondered what to do next, especially as Oberon still stood silent.
Thamoryn looked Distraught, and right now she had some thoughts in her mind.
First was the flashback from when she was within Aiden's subconscious. And how she saw the Dragon standing behind Aiden.
Second was the first time she felt the effects of dragon's fear, and it felt like being infront of the Gaping fangs of a Dragon.
Third was how easily he bested every mage set against him, from captain finn of xathia to the 8 captains and Grand Magus of Dragonhold.
And Finally those fangs he just displayed, those eyes.
"No… it couldn't be…" she whispered to herself as her eyes widened from some sort of realisation. "No… it can't possibly be…"
Oberon turned his head towards her for a moment, with so much disgust on his face and an expectant look to explain whatever it was she was rambling out.
She glanced back towards him, "I don't think the Dragon everWent Missing, It simply chose to live with us…"
Oberon's eyes widened with shock.
….
Later on that Night, at the encampment site, the rest of the soldiers and mages were beginning to take out the rest of their things given that the war was over.
Aiden had walked towards the entrance of the camp tent that Laela was in.
It was time they had that talk. "Come with me" He said
Laela silently nodded and Aiden walked closer into the tent and with a snap, they both warped away.
They made a reappearance inside of Aiden's pocket domain, and Laela looked utterly amazed. "What is this place?" She asked
"This is my domain, but more importantly there's something I have to tell you and hopefully it'll make sense"
"What is that?" Laela asked
Aiden drew a steady breath. "I'm not human. Not entirely…"
Her brows furrowed deeper. "Then… what are you?"
Aiden met her gaze.
"I'm a Dragon."
