The True Heiress Is The Real Bigshot

Chapter 8: Ying Zijin Has Her Back Norton Covers Her with a Quilt (Part 2)

In just half a year, someone had completely infiltrated her life.

She stared at Chariot's knee for a long time, then removed the star, unpinned it, and deleted the chat box.

She didn't want to keep this old bully in such a conspicuous place.

She poked Norton's black profile picture: "Old Shameless."

Exhausted from the past few days, Sinai fell into a deep sleep.

Night fell quietly.

After an unknown length of time, the door opened soundlessly.

A tall figure stood silently by the door.

The light from the hallway blurred his features.

In the darkness, the man's dark green eyes were particularly striking.

Norton's eyesight was good, and he didn't need any light to see.

He could see everything in the bedroom clearly.

He bent down, picked up the quilt that had fallen to the floor, and glanced sideways at Sinai, who had rolled to the edge of the bed.

One more roll, and she would fall to the ground.

Norton leaned over, reached out to push Sinai back in, and sat down at the edge of the bed.

He covered her with the quilt, then after a few seconds of silence, pressed her head with a cold voice, void of warmth: "Grown up, yet still restless in sleep."

Sinai was still asleep, her platinum blonde hair soft.

Human memory is strange.

Once you get to know someone, past memories about them become clear from being vague.

Their first meeting was in a dark alley beside the Sage Academy.

Norton lowered his lashes, looking at Sinai curled up: "Tsk."

A child indeed.

Norton, looking lazy, stood up.

He came silently, left without a sound.

Sinai's biological clock was steady.

The next morning, at five-thirty, she woke up automatically.

She sat on the bed, dazed for a while, before her thoughts gradually returned.

The next second, she saw the quilt covering her.

Sinai also knew she was restless in her sleep.

These days, sleeping on a bed set up in the office, she'd find the quilt on the floor every morning.

Sinai rubbed her eyes, folded the quilt neatly, and went to the office after washing up.

Charlotte happened to come back after buying breakfast.

She looked up and asked, "Xiaxia, did you come in yesterday to cover me with a quilt?"

"Huh? No." Charlotte put down the coffee, "How could I dare enter your bedroom, teacher? Did something happen?"

Suddenly, an unthinkable thought emerged.

Sinai's expression stiffened: "Is there any hallway surveillance? Let me take a look."

"Oh, yes." Charlotte took a bite of a bun, "You can use your ID number to get into the system, I don't have enough permissions."

Sinai immediately accessed all the surveillance from last night.

Apart from some researchers returning late, there were no other figures on the surveillance.

She fell silent.

With Norton's usual flamboyant style, it's impossible for him to do things covertly.

She must have been overthinking.

Why would he come here?

**

On the other side.

Norton University.

When the silver-haired man appeared, the vice chancellor didn't want to move at all.

But he still stepped forward, more startled than pleased: "Principal, you've finally returned, will you be leaving again this time?"

"Just passing through to have a look." Norton said flatly, "I'll be leaving soon to go to the Alchemy world."

Only Norton at the entire Norton University had been to the Alchemy world.

The professors of the Alchemy Department were all trained by him.

The vice chancellor had heard the Alchemy world was extremely dangerous: "Principal, stay safe."

Norton glanced at him: "Do you think I'll encounter any trouble?"

"Not at all, not at all." The vice chancellor began to flatter, "The principal is wise and mighty, surely will amaze those turtles in the Alchemy world!"

Norton picked up a few bottles of medicine without a frown: "As you should be aware."

The vice chancellor: "..."

The principal really didn't know what humility was.

"But there is one thing." The vice chancellor ventured carefully, "Principal, the students have been quite curious about you, perhaps you could make an appearance or give a speech or something?"

Upon hearing this, Norton slowly looked up: "Why don't you, put a tombstone by the lake?"

The vice chancellor was puzzled: "Huh? But that's the campus center, how could we put a tombstone there? Whose tombstone?"

"Mine."

"..."

"Tell them, if they want to see me, come by every day to pay respects." Norton grabbed a bottle of wine, smiling, "I'll take a look at them."

"..."

Norton turned around, eyes lowered.
