'I do, don't I?' Orion thought, smugly.
Orion turned back to Dani.
"We're all ears," He said.
"Well, so far I've only witnessed two trials," Dani said.
"They allow seniors to view the trials?" Orion asked.
"Yes, it serves as a source of entertainment every year, and it's also what most enclaves use to approach talented individuals for recruitment." She explained.
"That's another term, Enclaves," Orion said.
"You'll know more about them during your orientation. For now, let's just say they're clubs you join in the academy, and they have various functions." She explained.
"Alright, continue," Orion said, noting the information down in his head.
"Like I was saying, I've only witnessed two trials, ours and the set after us, and what I can say is that both are very unique." She said.
"How so?" Orion asked.
"There really is no similarity, if there's anything I've heard at least from the seniors, it's that it's always a mixture of action, critical thinking and intrigue." She said.
"According to some people, the school has never failed to make the entrance trials entertaining; there's always something new or the other." She said.
"Hmmm, what was your trial?" Orion asked.
"I can't remember the details properly, but ours was about illusions; they transferred all of us into this weird dimension where we were to go against illusions, tell them apart and stuff like that." She said, frowning while trying to recall the trial.
"I find it hard to believe you'd forget a trial you took just two years ago," Orion said.
"I'm serious, I can't really remember the details," She said quickly, afraid of his retaliation.
"Ok, and last year?" Orion asked.
"Last year wasn't a group one; they just had to go fight against monsters and outwit them. The monsters were strange and had different abilities, and there were a bunch of rules limiting them." She explained.
Orion fell into thought, his mind analysing all she'd said. He was tempted to use protocol, but that was risky. From the way she spoke, she wasn't very sure, and protocol would pick every single bit of information she mentioned; if something was off, it could derail the whole conjecture, and he hadn't gotten skilled enough to piece out wrong info based on emotion and mental state.
"Is that all?" Orion asked.
"Well, those are the two I've witnessed; the rest I heard from my seniors, they also couldn't recall all the details, and I'm not sure if I can put all that they said together." She said with a complicated expression.
'Meaning even more misinformation.' Orion thought with a sigh.
'Well, I've tried my best, all these were just for backup to make sure the test wouldn't catch me totally off guard, and now that I get the idea, I should be fine.' He thought, his mind settled.
"Alright, thank you very much," Orion said to her.
"I can't believe we went through all that drama for this," Orion muttered with a sigh.
"Um, can we leave now?" Dani asked meekly.
Orion looked at them for a while before deciding to use ETF, just in case.

'Impressive but nothing special,' He thought.
'It seems there are other ways to gain acquired skills.' Orion thought.
'What do you think, system?' He asked.
[Yes, many in fact.]
"Yes, you may go, thank you for your service," Orion said with a smile.
They both didn't hesitate before they Aether stepped away, vanishing.
"Wow, they didn't even say goodbye", Orion said with a sigh.
"You seem to be deriving amusement from this young master," Caelum said with an intrigued expression.
"Yes, I am. There are a few things that can entertain me these days, Caelum. Why do you ask? You don't approve?" Orion asked with a smile.
"Like I said earlier, it is not my place to judge; I'm simply to serve. Besides, I believe I'm happy getting to know who you are and what you like," Caelum said with a smile.
"Friends don't serve friends, Caelum. I thought we agreed to be friends, and did you just smile? I think this is the first I've seen you smile." Orion said, jumping to his feet.
Caelum just coughed, his expression awkward.
"Like I said, I'm happy to get to know more about you, young master. Selene is going to be quite jealous." Caelum said with a smirk.
"Now you sound like you're interested in me. And who's Selene?" Orion asked, walking away with Caelum following.
"My twin sister," Caelum replied.
"Oh, Wait, what!!"
