Running A Cemetery in North America

Chapter 189: Celestial Platform Horror Tales

NOG Forum, a famous urban legend website in North America.

Every day, a large number of urban legend enthusiasts upload their own or their friends' strange experiences here.

Some appear real, while others seem like wild imagination, exciting and thrilling but falling apart upon scrutiny.

Yet, every urban legend enthusiast enjoys it tirelessly.

Recently, a brand new urban legend post appeared on the NOG Forum, the content of which happened in San Francisco. Due to its astonishing and bizarre nature, it attracted many comments from enthusiasts and became quite popular, reaching the Top 5 on the forum's trending posts list.

[San Francisco Midnight Urban Legend, the Strange 'Cross' on the Celestial Platform]

The first post features a very clear photograph, magnified so many times that the buildings in the photo appear sharpened.

But you can clearly see a figure standing on the rooftop of a luxurious high-rise, arms raised in a pose resembling a cross.

[(Poster) Badar: This is a photo I took tonight. It's creepy. I've heard that someone jumped off their balcony that night, right from the building opposite this bizarre figure.]

[(1st floor) Tesla Bla: Are you saying this strange person has some kind of power that makes people commit suicide?]

[(2nd floor) Buckdi: It should just be someone playing a prank or maybe worshiping God?]

[(3rd floor) Reilmund: I can assure you this is definitely not a prank. The number of people who died from jumping off balconies in San Francisco in the past few days has reached seven. Each case is very strange cause of death. The police have started detailed investigations everywhere. They just visited my house to ask if we saw any strange figures on the opposite rooftop. F**K, I suspect something's happening]

[(4th floor) Corea: Could it be that a cult is performing some sacrificial ritual? Those who jumped are their chosen sacrifices]

...

At night, Sun Yan sat on the rattan chair on the balcony, leisurely enjoying the bustling night view of downtown San Francisco.

The NOG Forum was a website he had been following for a long time. As an exorcist, the NOG Forum undoubtedly had many potential clients.

Among those who post stories, there must be people who genuinely encountered such bizarre events, sharing either to tell a story or to seek help.

If he could find people in trouble from it, it would naturally be easy to make some money off them.

"Suicide jump, cross..." Sun Yan scrolled through the phone screen, curious about the discussions in the post.

The events mentioned in the post seemed to be the same as what were being discussed by those Bodol at the hotel front desk.

[(Post 29996) Kedas: Help! I saw it, I saw that thing in San Francisco! F**k, can someone help me? I watched with my own eyes as someone next door jumped because of that thing, that person posed like a cross, I suspect it has already targeted me]

As Sun Yan flipped to the last page of the thread in one go, a comment posted just 3 seconds ago caught his attention.

One user with the id 'Kedas' had posted a long paragraph in English and attached a photo.

Sun Yan instinctively opened it to see a blurred photo, but he could vaguely make out a figure on the rooftop of the opposite high-rise, posed like a cross.

Unlike the photo the original poster shared, this photo showed the figure's face.

A face severely distorted, as if a vortex had appeared on it.

Once one's gaze fell upon it, they were drawn in, feeling dizzy, unable to see anything else, but only a huge, rapidly spinning vortex.

Deeper than the abyss.

"Hiss!"

Sun Yan suddenly felt a sharp pain in his brow, quickly snapped out of the bizarre state, and only then did he realize he had unknowingly walked to the edge of the balcony.

If he hadn't regained his senses in time, he might have done something irrational.

"This photo isn't simple, possessing such an ability, even I fell for it without realizing." Sun Yan frowned, pondering that if it affected him this way, ordinary people who see the photo would be in big trouble.

Just as Sun Yan was about to check for any new comments or replies, the entire post disappeared, showing it had been deleted by administrators.

"Such quick action, it must have been discovered by the authorities." Sun Yan put away his phone, murmuring to himself.

Even just a photo of that thing could have such an impact on viewers, let alone seeing it in real life. Who could withstand that disorienting dizziness?

If this thing were to spread unchecked in San Francisco, the consequences would likely be dire.

The high-level authorities in America aren't just there for decoration; they surely have specific departments to deal with such urban legend phenomena, like clergy or perhaps North American exorcists.

In Sun Yan's view, this mysterious figure causing people to jump off buildings shouldn't be able to run rampant for long.

Thud thud thud! Thud thud thud!

Just then, a sudden knock on the door distracted Sun Yan, making him look towards it with some doubt.
