Running A Cemetery in North America

Chapter 152: Celestial Thunder Subdues Evil (Part 2)

Through the white mist, a voluptuous golden-haired noblewoman, almost three meters tall, slowly emerged.

She wore a long gown stained with blood, a medieval lady's hat, and held a women's cigarette between her fiery red lips, her dark eyes meaningfully watching the silhouette of the nearby town.

"Are there any humans still alive in this town?" Aife exhaled smoke and asked lightly.

Beside her walked a bloodless vampire with a hunched back, baring his fangs grimly, "Master Aife, there's a group of townsfolk led by the sheriff stubbornly defending inside a house in the town center. Those low-blood species are too foolish to breach their defenses. Besides, a few miles outside Gospel Town, there's a graveyard where several humans are still alive. All the low-blood species that went there have died; none returned."

"I didn't expect such a town could withstand the expansion of our Morolick Clan. This time, the Evil God Council has granted us Morolick Clan fourteen days for expansion; within these fourteen days, no forces in California will obstruct us, letting us occupy lands freely.

This fortunate event cannot be delayed by anything. Tonight, we must capture the entire Gospel Town, turning all the townsfolk into low-blood species of our Morolick Clan, strengthening the glorious ranks of Morolick."

Aife casually discarded the cigarette to the ground and started walking toward Gospel Town.

"I'll go check out that graveyard. You all hurry and conquer Gospel Town tonight; our time is precious. If we dare to attack ordinary people after the time is up, even the Evil God Council won't be able to protect us."

Aife's entire being transformed into a swarm of blood-colored bats, her figure vanished within the white mist.

...

If Gospel Town were Earth, then the graveyard would be a wandering moon beside it.

Finding the graveyard's location is still quite simple.

As night falls, a swarm of bats approaches swiftly, soon reaching the graveyard.

When the bats landed, they quickly gathered back into Aife's body, her eyes curiously surveying the unassuming graveyard before her: "This place doesn't seem special; why is it resistant to the low-blood species' invasion?"

With curiosity, Aife directly entered the graveyard's gate.

The interior of the graveyard was silent, without a single figure, except for the main house where lights were on.

Without hesitation, Aife strode over, and at that moment, a gust of wind suddenly struck.

Thud!

A Demon-Slaying Crossbow Arrow pierced through her chest, yet no blood flowed from Aife. Instead, two bats struck by the arrow fell to the ground, struggling fiercely, emitting a piercing cry.

Within seconds, the two bats withered into corpses.

"They do have some skills, no wonder the low-blood species couldn't invade here; it's the presence of an Exorcist."

Aife formed a sinister smile, nonchalantly heading toward the Demon-Slaying Crossbow Tower.

Once this thing is destroyed, there will be nothing to dread in this graveyard.

But Aife failed to notice that as she approached the main house, a cluster of clouds suddenly gathered above the graveyard.

Within seemed to emerge serpentine lightning, though silent, it was clear that a thundercloud was ready to strike.

Just as Aife was about to reach out and swipe at the Demon-Slaying Crossbow Tower, the Celestial Thunder Altar in the graveyard suddenly emitted a purple light.

The light shot into the heavens, and a Celestial Thunder struck down instantly, landing on Aife's head.

Completely unprepared and unaware, Aife was immediately charred inside and out, exhaling a billowing smoke, severely injured by the Celestial Thunder.

Seeing the demon hadn't dispersed, the Celestial Thunder Altar continued to summon multiple Celestial Thunders, continuously striking down on Aife.

This commotion naturally drew the attention of the people inside watching TV.

Sun Yan hurriedly opened the door, and Dahuang rushed out first, barking loudly at Aife, who was already charred on the ground.

"When did this person get in? Dahuang didn't even notice. If not for the Celestial Thunder Altar's commotion, we might not have known there was an outsider in the graveyard."

Sun Yan looked at Aife's charred corpse in astonishment and said.

Elise looked at the nearly three-meter-tall corpse, and an inexplicable uneasy premonition arose in her heart.

She suddenly remembered something, and with a moment of insight, exclaimed, "Be careful, this is a Duke of the Morolick Clan! She's strong! Keep your distance."

The Blood Race often divides status by rank, which Sun Yan knew. Elise herself was only a Count in the Morolick Clan, highlighting how dangerous a Duke's power must be.

As for Princes, during the Crusaders' time in Europe, all Blood Princes had already been punished.

Today, it is rare to find the existence of Blood Princes in this world.

Knowing the deceased before them was a Blood Race Duke, everyone showed wary expressions.

Roken couldn't help but jest, "Looks like she's been struck dead by the Celestial Thunder. Should be completely dead, right? What's there to worry about."

Elise's expression was serious, disagreeing with Roken's words.

She shook her head: "No, you underestimate the power of a Blood Race Duke. Although Holy Water and Silverware can still harm Blood Race Dukes, their body's vitality is terrifying. As long as their entire body isn't sliced into pieces, even if their heart is pierced, they still have a chance to resurrect."

Sosia revealed a trace of a hunting glare in her eyes as she took the Tang Blade Sun Yan traded and gifted her, and walked directly to Aife's corpse.

Preparing to sever the head of this Blood Race Duke completely, ensuring she has no chance of resurrection.

"Didn't expect you to know so much... You must be a member of the Morolick Clan, why mix with these humans."

At that moment, Aife's charred corpse suddenly twitched.

Logically, the corpse should have been dead from the Celestial Thunder strike, yet it exhibited a mutation, the body splitting open, with a massive form covered in white feathers emerging.

Like a cocooned butterfly, Aife's body transformed dramatically.

Her lower half turned goat-like, with hooves, while bat-like wing membranes sprouted from her back.

Her upper half stood upright, covered in scales, with horns atop her head, eyes like a sheep gazing evilly at Sun Yan and the others, full of murderous intent.

"I remember you, a few from the Gold Mine Town... We met not long ago, didn't we?"

Aife's claws hung low, her figure still growing, reaching over five meters tall, standing in the graveyard like a colossal entity.

"Shit, is this really a Blood Race? How could they turn into this?" Roken said, shocked.

As an Exorcist, he had hunted vampires before, but their abilities only allowed for minor healing, manipulation, and stronger-than-normal bodies.

How could they become such uncanny figures, far beyond the Blood Race's usual scope?

"I don't know either." Elise's eyes widened, her face filled with disbelief.

Even as a former member of the Morolick Clan, she couldn't understand the transformation happening to Aife.

The Morolick Clan never had such a capability.

"Die!"

Aife had no intention of further exchanging words, directly clawing down fiercely, prompting everyone to dodge.

Boom!

The ground instantly bore a half-meter deep pit, dirt flying.

Showing just how powerful this mutated Blood Race actually is; a normal person struck by her would surely be buried on the spot.

Thunderclouds surged in the sky, detecting the demon invasion in the graveyard, the Celestial Thunder Altar retaliated again.

In the thunderclouds, several Celestial Thunders struck down consecutively, hitting Aife.

The Demon-Slaying Crossbow Tower also started its rapid-fire mode, Demon-Slaying Crossbow Arrows consistently penetrating Aife's scales, turning her into a porcupine.

Yet, having gained the power from the Sheep's Eye Tree, the mutated Aife exceeded the expectations of Sun Yan and the others.

Undaunted by several lightning strikes, she didn't fall. Instead, she became enraged, her fury pushing her into craziness.

Aife leapt with her hooves, quickly charging toward Sun Yan, her claws directly swiping at his face.

"Watch out!"

Sosia didn't hesitate, turning back to shield Sun Yan, raising her arms to block the dangerous strike.
