Mythical Era: My Evolution into a Celestial Beast

Chapter 1078: Ten-Fold Heavenly Gate Surpassing Gods. Life-Bound Ability (II)

Roar!

On the shimmering sea, a colossal beast over a hundred meters long erupted from the waves. Its body was covered in black-and-white scales, resembling an orca at level 8.

Boom!

The sea exploded as its massive body leapt skyward, soaring a thousand meters before crashing back down with a thunderous splash that sent walls of water flying.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Its violent aura churned the surrounding sea. Countless smaller fish, some over ten meters long, burst from the surface in panic. The orca roared again, its voice more frenzied, its aura ferocious.

High above, ten thousand meters in the clouds, Shi Feitong stood suspended in the void, gazing down with a faint smile. "What a world brimming with life. And it's also the world Big Brother Chen protects, the ancestral land of the human race."

She turned her head. Behind her, drifting among the clouds, a strange altar emerged. Fifty meters tall, built of white stone in the shape of the Eight Trigrams, its surface was carved with ancient runes resembling the coordinates once discovered in the Lost World.

However, unlike that coordinate, this altar was far more complex. A token engraved with the words "Bury Heaven" floated slowly above it. Around the altar stood seven towering black steles, each a thousand meters tall and a hundred meters wide. Each one bore an ancient character: Heng, Xu, Zhan, Gu, Huang, Lun, Jian, radiating profound and mysterious auras.

Looking at the altar, silent and unresponsive, Shi Feitong sighed. "The Emperor's Altar still shows no response. It seems like Elder Sister has not yet returned from beyond the chaotic heavens."

The mythical world was too vast, filled with forbidden zones that severed space and disrupted principles. If the distance was too great, communication was difficult, and messages carried through principles would be cut off.

This was true even for the ancient human race. Only primordial-level beings could ignore such restrictions, sending thoughts across boundless distances. However, if one resided outside the chaotic heavens, even primordial strength was limited, as one was within the mythical world, the other was outside it.

Just as Shi Feitong was about to turn and leave, intending to abandon the altar and continue her walk across the Blue Planet...

Hum!

The seven steles inscribed with the ancient emperors' true names shook, releasing invisible waves. Like formless signals, they pierced the solar system, traversing the skies of the mythical world.

At once, another message descended across infinite distance along that signal.

Boom!

The altar quaked. The token inscribed with "Bury Heaven" blazed with golden light, spilling radiance that transformed the heavens into a golden starry sky.

Within that celestial expanse were silver-amber ripples. At their edge, a pavilion rested, and within sat a breathtakingly beautiful woman, clad in white divine robes edged in gold, black hair cascading over her shoulders.

Compared to Shi Feitong, Shi Feirou's bearing was far more regal. At her brow shone a golden sun mark, carrying a faint, immortal profundity. She seemed like a blazing sun suspended in the heavens, radiant with supreme majesty.

Shi Feitong said excitedly, "Sister, I finally managed to contact you. I found Big Brother Chen!"

"What! You did?" Visibly stirred, Shi Feirou shot to her feet, a mighty pressure bursting from her body and shaking the starry sky around her.

Shi Feitong nodded. "Yes, I did. He's here, in the ancestral land."

Shi Feirou drew in a deep breath, suppressing the tremor in her voice. "So that's why we couldn't find any trace of him. Very good, Little Tong. You did well this time. All that running around wasn't in vain."

A smile appeared unbidden on Shi Feirou's face as she sat back down. "It has been ten thousand years since we last saw him. His cultivation must be higher now, yes? Is he close to breaking into the primordial level?"

"No. He's is still far from the primordial level." Shi Feitong shook her head.

Shi Feirou froze. "Still far? Impossible. Brother Chen's talent is clearly greater than ours."

"Of course his talent surpasses ours. But his time in cultivation has been too short. Right now, he's only at the late stage of the ancient titan level, in seclusion to break through to the peak."

Before her sister could voice her doubts, Shi Feitong grinned playfully. "Sister, you'd never guess that Brother Chen is only eighteen."

Cough! Cough!

Shi Feirou's projected image nearly choked. Even as powerful as she was, hearing that made her lose her composure.

"Eighteen? Little Tong, are you sure you're not joking?" Shi Feirou's expression was dazed.

Shi Feitong looked very pleased with her reaction, smiling as she spoke with an airy tone. "I wouldn't dare to joke about this. I've already confirmed it through multiple sources. I can say with absolute certainty that Brother Chen is only eighteen."

These past two days, Shi Feitong had traveled all across the Blue Planet, learning the history of the Human Federation's development. Though she trusted Chen Chu and the others, as vice palace master of Jiantian Palace in the Flamewheel Divine Region, she had to act responsibly for the empire and collect firsthand intelligence from the ancestral land. She was especially focused on news concerning Chen Chu. As a true-spirit-level being, she could with a thought invade the Federation's "Sky Net,"[1] even the Celestial Think Tank. No information could be hidden from her.

Shi Feirou exhaled, calming herself after another wave of shock. "Enough teasing. Tell me everything you know, starting with Brother Chen."

"Hehe, no problem." Shi Feitong smiled sweetly. "Brother Chen really is only eighteen. He met us after he was caught in a temporal storm and accidentally drifted more than ten thousand years into the past..."

She then recounted everything she knew, especially matters concerning Chen Chu. A year and a half ago, he had still been just an ordinary high school student. After entering Nantian Martial Arts High School, he began cultivating. At first, his talent seemed ordinary. He trained for a month before breaking through to the Second Heavenly Realm, then joined the trial and went abroad to war.

From that moment, Chen Chu began his rise. He cultivated the True Martial Phantom, slew a Fourth Heavenly Realm Blood Emissary while only at the Third, then returned to East Xia after the trial. Soon after, he broke through to the Fourth Realm and went to the southern battlefield, embarking on his legendary path...

Shi Feitong took nearly half an hour to recount everything, including how Chen Chu had summoned the Thunder Fiery Colossal Beast to face the Purgatory Demon Clan and ultimately won.

When she finished, Shi Feirou remained lost in thought. Shi Feitong chuckled. "Sister, don't you think Brother Chen's story is like a living legend? He's the very image of a fated protagonist. Rising from nothing, sweeping aside all rivals, and in the end, saving the world."

Shi Feirou's face grew solemn as she finally said, "More than just legendary, it's beyond belief. Little Tong, no one must know of this, aside from me. Not even the envoy group. No. Even that isn't safe enough. Little Tong, I'll head to the outer heavens to find Master. You must summon all of the strong ones in the ancestral land, along with those three allied races, and find a way to erase every trace of Brother Chen's existence."

"...So serious?" Shi Feitong hesitated.

Shi Feirou's expression darkened as she stood again. "From what you've told me, Brother Chen's talent can no longer be described as primordial potential. It surpasses even the seven emperors who once led the rise of the Ancient Civilization. Even compared to peak civilizations around the divine regions, the so-called gods, region lords, or those monstrous prodigies of legend, which of them ever grew at such an astounding pace?"

At once, Shi Feitong's face grew grave as well. She had been so focused on the excitement of finding Chen Chu and the many shocks of her investigation on the Blue Planet that she had overlooked this truth. His rise and his talent weren't just legendary; they were beyond reason. In the six human regions, even in the top and peak civilizations surrounding them, no tale of primordial beings had ever described such speed.

Shi Feitong's expression turned firm. "I'll immediately summon the Human Alliance's experts to seal and erase all information about Brother Chen."

Shi Feirou nodded. "Yes. I'll leave at once. We may need Master or another true emperor to intervene, to alter the memories of every cultivator above the mythical level in the Human Alliance, and even wiping away the time traces Brother Chen left behind. With his talent, once he steps into the six regions and reaches the chaotic heavens, news of him won't stay hidden for long. But we only need to buy him time. By the time the other peak races react, Brother Chen may already be beyond the point where ordinary primordial beings could threaten him."

Because the matter was so grave, the sisters cut their connection quickly. With a flick of her hand, Shi Feitong put away the altar and steles, then shot skyward, her aura terrifying. Outside the atmosphere, the stronghold within the floating void island channel quaked.

Seeing her approach, black light wheels orbiting behind her like a black sun, Xie Chen was startled and hurried to greet her. "Vice Palace Master Shi, has something important happened?"

Shi Feitong's gaze was cold. "Yes. Something very important has happened."

Boom!

In an instant, a true-spirit-level pressure swept past the Blue Planet's skies. On Titan, Venus, and Mars, the experts of all three races jolted to attention, as Shi Feitong's icy voice echoed in their ears.

"All cultivators above the mythical level are to proceed at once to the vast world. I will convene an alliance meeting to discuss an urgent matter. Any who disobey will be annihilated."

With that, her figure blurred into a streak of black light, diving into the world passage.

That domineering tone and true-spirit-level aura left the Heavenly Feathered Race, Faeries, and Alliance of Gods experts stationed in the Solar System stunned. None dared hesitate; together with Xie Chen, they entered the passage.

Meanwhile, as Shi Feitong prepared to convene the meeting, in the Flamewheel Divine Region, the silver lake, pavilion and starry sky around Shi Feirou dissolved like an illusion, revealing behind her a vast channel filled with endless turbid currents. She turned, stepped inside, and vanished.
