Mythical Era: My Evolution into a Celestial Beast

Chapter 1065: The Shadow War God Race Chen Chu’s Death Warrant (II)

Boom!

Chen Chu, three-faced and ten-armed, seventy thousand meters tall, descended from the sky. Instantly, the ground beneath him shattered and exploded, raising dust and stone fragments that swept outward like a hurricane. Standing in the midst of a crater a thousand kilometers wide, Chen Chu's eyes grew cold as he surveyed his surroundings.

It was still the arena made of rough stone. The scars of the last battle had vanished, the ruined plaza restored as though time had rewound. However, the space was larger this time, expanded to three hundred thousand kilometers in length and breadth, vast enough to contain several Jupiters.

The widened battlefield pushed the surrounding walls beyond ten thousand kilometers high, and the mottled bloodstains along the stone edges had expanded with it, releasing a terrifying aura.

True spirit, perhaps even primordial! It seemed only battles at the true spirit level or higher were qualified to leave such marks here.

As Chen Chu fought at ever higher levels, the Ancient Arena seemed to loosen its seals, revealing more of its true face. Among the spectator stands, thousands of massive statues of differing forms stood more towering than before, their hidden auras more oppressive. Some even gave Chen Chu a sense of deadly threat.

He narrowed his eyes. These statues were not dead.

Boom!

Tens of thousands of kilometers away, the void trembled. A massive silver vortex took shape, spreading transparent ripples that distorted space for tens of thousands of kilometers.

At its heart appeared a humanoid figure, one thousand meters tall, with two pairs of long, white eyes gleaming like obsidian. On its back rested a pair of black-glowing sabers more than a thousand meters in length, radiating an edge so sharp it seemed to split the void.

The moment this late-stage ancient-titan-level alien appeared, an invisible pressure descended upon the world. In that instant, it seemed as though only that one noble, exalted figure remained, standing above billions of beings, gods, and demons alike. Its existence was the center of the world.

Chen Chu spoke slowly, his voice infused with divine soul will as it resounded through heaven and earth. "Primordial... bloodline."

The obsidian alien's twin pairs of eyes flashed with arrogance, its voice like clashing metal. "You actually recognize a primordial bloodline. It seems your background is not simple. Good. The stronger the opponent, the greater my sense of achievement in slaying them."

With that, the alien tilted its head back slightly, tone lofty and commanding. "Unknown alien, state your name. I do not cut down nameless wretches."

Chen Chu's expression remained calm. "Should you not introduce yourself first? Or does the so-called primordial bloodline amount to nothing more than primitive brutes without the foundation of civilization?"

"Seeking death." The primordial descendent's eyes chilled, flashing with killing intent. Then it sneered. "No matter. You will soon lose your head. Remember this, lowly human. I am Voislav Erasti, ancient ruler of the Shadow War God Race, under the Fifth Heavenly Region."

Such powerful races carried a fierce pride in their heritage. With only a few provoking words, Chen Chu had driven it to reveal its bloodline and true name. However, he knew nothing of this race. He had never heard of it, nor knew what arts it excelled in. Still, since his opponent had introduced itself, he wouldn't lose decorum. He slowly said, "Human race, lord of the Sun Divine Region, Chu Batian."

At once, Voislav froze. Its gaze sharpened with killing intent. "Human race, Chu Batian. The Ancient Arena... Yes, it is you."

"You know me?" Chen Chu narrowed his eyes.

Voislav gave no answer. Instead, its four white eyes glinted with even more murderous light. "So my luck is great indeed. To think I would encounter you here. Late-stage ancient titan level... Then when you slew Nashigas of the Eternal Golden Divine Race, you must have been in the past. Or perhaps I am standing at some point in the future. No wonder no intelligence could be found on you within the six human regions. You exist outside any span of time."

The Ancient Arena existed in unfathomable mystery, detached from the river of time. Thus, each combatant drawn into it couldn't determine the era any others belonged to. Because of this, Voislav had misunderstood. After all, it had been less than a single day-cycle since the name Chu Batian had begun to circulate quietly among the peak races. In such a short time, no one could believe that someone at the peak of the titan level could break through to the late stage of the ancient titan level.

Watching the faintly excited Voislav, Chen Chu, who had deliberately given his "true" name, sank into thought. As expected, these peak civilizations connected to primordial power all knew of the human race. It seemed the ancient humans, vanished for untold millennia, had become stronger than ever.

However, before he could probe further, a sinister and chilling aura erupted from Voislav.

Boom!

The arena shook violently. The earth split into enormous rifts, from which dark-blue light spewed like ghastly scars. Amid the dazzling radiance, Voislav swelled to one hundred thousand meters. Two-headed and four-armed, with two spiraled horns jutting from each skull, it appeared both massive and fearsome.

Its obsidian-forged true form was etched with countless profound dark-blue principle patterns, glowing with a brilliance that unleashed a pressure comparable to that of a true spirit.

This was the power of a freak from a peak civilization with primordial bloodline. At the late stage of the ancient titan level, its might rivaled that of ordinary true spirits, equal even to a semi-true-spirit-level demon god like Tyretis, though with far greater potential.

It didn't end there. In Voislav's hand appeared a drop of pitch-black blood, a hundred meters wide, which it crushed instantly.

Boom!

The blood burst apart, releasing endless black mist. It resembled the abyssal demonic qi of the Primordial Ancestor, yet it was stronger still, brimming with a dark, unfathomable terror. As the mist poured into Voislav, its aura soared once more.

All of this unfolded in but an instant. Standing within the endless darkness, Voislav, its presence now surpassing ordinary true spirits, moved with thunderous force. The two massive blades in its hands gleamed, their saber light exploding outward.

"Chu Batian. Today is the day you die."

Boom! Boom!

Two black saber lights, each more than a hundred thousand meters long, crisscrossed, tearing the heavens apart. Their invisible power shook the entire arena.

The crossed strikes split the world into four, and in an instant, they appeared before Chen Chu at a speed that transcended time itself.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Just ten thousand kilometers from Chen Chu, the saber light was halted by an unseen power. The collision erupted into radiant golden diamond-shaped halos.

Centered on Chen Chu, a golden field of diamond-shaped light spread for ten thousand kilometers, like a vast glowing sphere. The strikes, dazzling enough to cleave Saturn in half, couldn't move the golden halo by even a fraction. It radiated an unshakable might.

With his cultivation now at the late ancient stage, Chen Chu had become even more formidable. His planar world had expanded to one hundred thousand kilometers when his Supreme Power reached the advanced stage, growing immensely stronger.

Fusing the power of that planar world into his life field, Chen Chu unleashed the Absolute Force Field, a top-level divine ability. His defense had become utterly unassailable, strong enough to ignore this alien's all-out strike.

Such was the terror of an all-rounded powerhouse; it was a power so absolute it drove opponents to despair.

"Impossible!" Voislav's eyes widened in shock, then blazed with fury as it watched the towering human stand unmoving at the center of the Absolute Force Field.

With four arms gripping its blades, Voislav swept out wave after wave of slashes, flooding the air with dark-blue divine light and black demonic qi. In a blink, it unleashed tens of thousands of cuts, each capable of shattering space-time.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The deluge of saber light annihilated everything, engulfing Chen Chu in a storm of destruction. Golden ripples flared outward, radiant as stars, blasting apart the ground for hundreds of thousands of kilometers and carving an abyss without bottom.

The embodied power surged on, a tsunami of force sweeping across the arena, smashing against the surrounding cliffs. The arena shook like doomsday. Mountains ten thousand kilometers tall cracked, sending avalanches of stone crashing down.

Yet at the heart of this annihilating storm, the golden Absolute Force Field shone steadfast, unbroken. At its center, Chen Chu's seventy-thousand-meter True Demon God Form stood tall in the void, his gaze cold as it fell upon Voislav in the distance, sabers in hand and wreathed in endless dark-blue light.

Fury and disbelief burned on Voislav's face. It, who was a peak prodigy of a mighty civilization, bearer of a primordial bloodline and a titled ancient ruler, couldn't even breach the defense of a human in the same realm. Its opponent had not even moved, only stood there, looking down upon it with eyes full of quiet scorn.

Unforgivable. However, Voislav's expression then turned cold, and it slowly said, "So this is your strength. Impressive indeed, a nearly invincible defensive divine ability. But soon, it will be mine."

Hum!

At its brow, a blue rune, somewhat like an eye, blazed with light from beyond the heavens. An aura that surpassed principles spread from Voislav, primordial and immeasurable. The runes across its body flared, shifting and transforming.

Boom!

Amid the raging chaos, two golden diamond-shaped halos collided, grinding together like worlds exploding, their roar shaking the heavens. Within each stood a figure; Chen Chu in one, Voislav in the other.

Even Chen Chu paused slightly, then said, "Copying divine abilities. So this is the power of your primordial bloodline?"

"Correct. This is one of the gifts of my Shadow War God Race's bloodline: Replication. Any divine ability I behold, I can copy with primordial power."

Voislav's expression was incomparably calm, with not the slightest trace of madness or recklessness on its face. Clearly, that earlier "all-out" strike had only been to force Chen Chu to reveal his strength, making it easier for Voislav to copy.

Chen Chu nodded lightly. "That skill is indeed strong, but no matter how great the skill, it still depends on the one who wields it."
