Chapter 167: Blood Coagulation Fork

Chen Guan was somewhat speechless; Yun Bihua was indeed quite bold.

Chen Guan didn't find any issue with Yun Bihua's way of doing things. What's wrong with people pursuing what they like?

People like that live a colorful life, don't need to care about others' opinions, and it's perfectly fine to make themselves happy.

It's just that Chen Guan's pursuits weren't like that, and he even felt it would be a bit too troublesome, because such a person might like one thing today and another tomorrow. If something displeases her, she might turn away to find something or someone else that makes her happy. While she might be happy, others might not be.

Chen Guan didn't have the energy to engage in romance, nor did he have the time to manage a relationship carefully, so he preferred more stable relationships. Ideally, there would be mutual benefits; that would be even better.

For example, with someone like Ji Nanhong, Ji Nanhong needed someone to help her independently inherit the family business, and he needed Ji Nanhong to help him establish himself in the Ancestral Court. Their interests aligned, and they could work hard together in the same direction, which was great.

"You're great, but I already have a girlfriend." Chen Guan withdrew his arm from Yun Bihua's, looked at the dawning sky, and said.

"So aloof? I like it." Yun Bihua, a woman who knew when to advance and retreat, though she wished she could have Chen Guan right then, did not pursue further. She sat up straight, showing a gentle demeanor and tidied her hair by her ear: "Are you suspecting that I'm deliberately sabotaging your relationship with Ji Nanhong?"

"Actually, you really don't have to worry about this. I, Yun Bihua, will only live for myself in this lifetime. No one can dictate my life, and I wouldn't wrong myself for anyone by approaching someone I don't like."

Chen Guan looked at Yun Bihua and nodded, "I can tell, you are indeed such a person."

Seeing the sincerity in Chen Guan's words, Yun Bihua softened her attitude once more: "Our days are still long. You might not be able to join the Ji Family, but if ever you feel tired and don't want to fight anymore, you can come to me, and I'll take care of you."

"Why do you want to take care of me?" Chen Guan looked at Yun Bihua and asked.

"Is a reason necessary? Liking is enough, isn't it?" Yun Bihua said with a smile.

"Fair enough." Chen Guan chuckled, dropping the subject.

Upon reaching the entrance of the Beimang Mountain Secret Realm, Yun Bihua bade farewell to Chen Guan voluntarily, not lingering any longer.

After Chen Guan teleported into the Secret Realm, he headed towards the Wild Ghost Cave where the Evil Asura was located, armed with a map.

The Wild Ghost Cave is a vast underground cave network, roughly divided into eleven sections, with certain level differences between each, extending layer by layer into the depths of the earth like a demon's lair, filled with various Secret Spirits, both First Awakening and Second Awakening ones.

The Wild Ghost Cave is one of the resource points under the control of the Celestial Court Army. Without authorization, entry is prohibited.

Armed with a reward permit, Chen Guan gained entry into the Wild Ghost Cave. Following the map issued with the permit, he headed towards the marked location of the Evil Asura.

The most common Secret Spirits in the Wild Ghost Cave include First Awakening Specters, Red Night Demons, Skinning Asuras, Soul-Catching Spiders, among others. There are also rare First Awakening Secret Spirits like Ox Heads, Horse Faces, White Impermanence, and Black Impermanence.

The Second Awakening Secret Spirits are roughly the same types but are more advanced, with different Alien Elemental Energy, hence the variations.

Among the same level, the strongest Secret Spirits in the Wild Ghost Cave are not the Asuras, but White Impermanence and Black Impermanence. These Secret Spirits are extremely rare and highly valuable.

Their abilities effectively counteract other Secret Spirits in the Wild Ghost Cave. If one could have a White Impermanence or Black Impermanence pet, they could easily traverse the Wild Ghost Cave with ease.

Chen Guan didn't have such a pet, but he had an Emperor Vein Ghost-Eyed Python, which could also traverse the cave easily as long as he didn't encounter Second Awakening Secret Spirits.

The number of Second Awakening Secret Spirits in the Wild Ghost Cave is actually quite limited, with only one or two in each area, and they have fixed areas of activity.

Chen Guan marked these areas on his map. As long as he didn't wander into their territories, the chances of encountering them were slim.

The Ghost-Eyed Python cleared the path ahead, wreaking havoc. Seen evil spirits and specters were devoured one by one until it couldn't eat anymore, crashing into Secret Spirits directly, killing them or whipping clusters of Soul-Catching Spiders with its tail until their bodies burst open.

The Paperman was summoned by Chen Guan to absorb experience.

Along the way, Chen Guan acquired three Soul-Catching Spider pets, four Soul Capturing Technique Secret Technique Cores, two Lonely Specter pets, and two Ghost Claw Hand Secret Skill Cores.

Red Night Demons and Skinning Asuras were also encountered. These ugly creatures, with Red Night Demons being short demons with red skin, stood around a meter tall and wielded a wooden fork, unable to fend off even one bite of the Ghost-Eyed Python.

The Skinning Asura was a Secret Spirit wearing an evil ghost mask, clad in armor, and wielded a Skinning Knife, somewhat inelegantly out of place with mediocre combat capabilities.

Cores of Secret Skills like "Skinning Knife Technique" and "Night Patrol Demon Technique" were also obtained by Chen Guan, though they weren't particularly valuable and had average effects without any notable highlights.

Encounters with Ox Head and Horse Face were few, let alone Black and White Impermanence.

Following the Ghost-Eyed Python, Chen Guan noticed red particles converging into his hand.

The Ghost-Eyed Python was systematically sweeping the cave. Often Chen Guan wouldn't even see anything ahead as the Ghost-Eyed Python had already dealt with it, essentially dominating this dark cave environment.

Initially, Chen Guan assumed the red particles were from the "Night Patrol Demon Technique," as only spots of red particles would emerge after Red Night Demons were slain here.

However, as the particles condensed into a Secret Skill Core in his hand, Chen Guan discovered it was different from the typical "Night Patrol Demon Technique" Secret Skill Core.

Upon examining the data, Chen Guan was pleasantly surprised to find it was a unique Secret Skill Core, "Blood Coagulation Fork."

Upon immediate use of the "Blood Coagulation Fork" Secret Skill Core, he discovered the technique wasn't designed for using a fork but was an unusual way of utilizing Primordial Energy. This Secret Skill could impart a blood coagulation effect to Primordial Energy.

If he could inject Primordial Energy into an opponent's body, areas touched by the Primordial Energy would cause the blood to gradually coagulate — truly vicious.

Not to mention coagulating all the blood in the body; as long as he could strike one or two major blood vessels and cause the blood within to coagulate, forming blood clots, it could directly paralyze or even kill someone instantly.

Although a Cultivator isn't as likely to die from heart attacks or strokes as ordinary people, blood clotting can seriously impact the body, with significant blockage still being fatal.

The prerequisite was to inject Primordial Energy into opponents' bodies using the Blood Coagulation Fork, coagulating their blood.

Unlike the Profound Nether Yin Fire Force, the Blood Coagulation Fork lacked penetrating and burning effects, requiring a forced breach of opponents' Primordial Energy and defense to deliver the Primordial Energy inside.

"Really vicious, and I like it." Chen Guan liked the Blood Coagulation Fork Secret Skill. With nothing else to do on the road, he practiced as he went.

As for which Secret Spirit dropped the Blood Coagulation Fork, Chen Guan neither saw nor cared.

Besides, being a unique item meant no other Secret Spirit would drop it in the future, knowing its source didn't help.

By the time Chen Guan reached the area where the Evil Asura was located, the Blood Coagulation Fork had reached Level 3, and the Paperman had reached Level 5.

First, he recalled the Ghost-Eyed Python; when facing a Second Awakening World-Defying Secret Spirit, caution was advised.

Chen Guan quietly sneaked around, intending to first locate the traces of the Evil Asura and then use ordinary pets as cannon fodder to test the Evil Asura's strength before deciding on how to kill it.
