'A special class, eh? Not something I was expecting, but that will do.' Dorian grabbed his jaw, stroking it gently. "Then again, I think it's time I used my points to upgrade my stats. Quite frankly, I see no reason to, but it won't hurt to be stronger than I am right now."

Dorian sighed.

"Speaking of strong, where the hell is that dragon?!" he yelled to the sky.

His whole reason for even waiting outside the barn was because he had sensed Ciel's energy and decided to wait to see if he could find her there.

When he got outside, she had vanished again, and none of his telepathy was reaching her. If he didn't know better, he'd guess she was avoiding him.

Pouf!

Lili appeared on his shoulder in her bat form, yawning with a bit of moisture in her eyes.

"Master? What are you doing awake at this time?"

"What are you doing sleeping? You feed off my mana every chance you get. How are you tired?"

"When Master sleeps, Lili has nothing to do. So, I sleep."

Dorian gave her a deadpan look. "Then go back to sleep."

"Is Master looking for someone? Why are you waiting out here in the middle of the night?"

Before he thought to respond, an idea sank into his mind. 'Better to use that, I guess.'

He closed his eyes.

"Master?" Lili tilted her head to the side, wondering why he had suddenly gone silent.

[The skill Resource Gathering has been activated.]

[Target has been selected.]

[Stupid Dragon has been found.]

Ting!

As Dorian opened his eyes, he noticed a golden light stretched from his leg, far into the forest and nearing the mountains. The first thing that crossed his mind was…

'What the hell is Ciel doing over there?'

Dragons in this world were a mystery.

If he could study their history, there was so much he could uncover, not just for himself, but for the kingdom as well.

And rather than assist him in this, Ciel had chosen to act like a stray cat and go hiking in the mountains all by herself.

Dorian's temple twitched with anger. "I am so going to give that dragon a beatdown when I see her."

Lili chuckled nervously after hearing that. "Master, only you can speak about beating a dragon so lightly."

"Let's go."

With that, Dorian immediately began following the golden light leading to the mountaintops. Using his insane speed, he was able to cover a large distance in a matter of a few seconds.

Soon, he arrived at the place where the golden light was pointing him.

Right there, he stood in front of a huge cave carved into the center of the mountain. Even as he stood outside, he could feel the intense mana radiating from within.

'Is she here? Yeah, there is no mistaking this mana.'

He frowned.

"Lili, go back inside. This mana might cause you to relapse again; it's too raw."

"Y-yes."

Lili disappeared back into her master's body.

Once she was gone, Dorian could freely explore inside the cave. For some reason, the aura didn't affect him as much, which was probably due to his link to dragons.

But either way, no matter how intense the aura was, Dorian kept going.

As he walked into the cave, he could see underdeveloped dragon ores growing from the ground and walls, which only proved his theory that this raw material was made from dragon mana being condensed in a single, closed spot.

The further he walked, the more the dragon ores looked to be brighter and higher in quality.

Though they looked so underdeveloped that one might as well just name them "dragon needles".

After a few minutes of walking, Dorian finally stopped at what seemed like a dead end.

With his hands in his pockets, a shocked expression played on his face after his eyes met what was waiting for him ahead.

'E-ggs?'

He took a step back.

Yes, inside the small space where he stood, he could see several glowing eggs, all arranged in a straight line. They looked similar to a dragon egg, having the same size and the same mana output.
