Chapter 145: Devouring the World

In the ruins of a Sub-dragon village.

The Juvenile Dragon once again touched the remnants of the Heister Tree before him, and its consciousness began to enter an illusion, no longer appearing in the form of a dragon, but a vague glowing humanoid.

This represented the inner self of the Giant Dragon, a human-like soul.

"A Dragon Descendant?"

The Divine Tree whispered.

"A human Dragon Descendant? Who obtained the body of a Giant Dragon?"

"Whose prank is this?"

A towering Heister Tree gazed at the distant glimmer, which was the light of Duncan's soul, not strong enough because the Juvenile Dragon was still weak.

The only linkage between Dimension Space and reality was through the corresponding Human Form.

"Perhaps it's some Demon God who stuffed the Dragon Descendant's soul into the body of a dragon."

Echoing whispers sounded again, though dense, they were not chaotic. Each Heister Tree maintained a Spiritual Link, forming a vast consciousness collective, yet each had different aspects, but still formed a harmonious natural symbiosis.

Those non-conformist Heister Trees would be eliminated by them.

Duncan's consciousness now seemed to stand upon the earth's vein, gazing into the distance, with the root systems of the Heister Tree delving deep into the earth, entwining and winding around the earth vein. The nearest Heister Tree to him was about tens of kilometers away in a swamp.

It was also the one that spoke the most.

Duncan's consciousness finally spoke, he slowly said, "Can you quiet down a bit?"

"One at a time?"

In the midst of establishing a Spiritual Link, the communication style of the cluster consciousness did not match the cognition of other beings, it was much like everyone sharing brainwaves.

Duncan felt buzzing in his brain from all those whispers of the Divine Trees.

In the distance, atop a Heister Tree bloomed fiery red flowers, its voice was deeper, even more fervent, it slowly asked, "Who are you?"

This was a very ancient Heister Tree.

It might have existed for more than ten thousand years, with roots extending from the tree intertwining with those of other Divine Trees.

Duncan thought for a moment, spreading his hands and said, "As you see. A hybrid dragon."

"A human soul, the body of a Giant Dragon."

These Heister Trees could not perceive the existence of Dimension Space; they could only see Duncan's Human Form, even the outline of his soul.

Another round of whispers rose.

A Heister Tree expressed doubt, "Has the world cycle changed?"

"Has a Dragon Descendant become a real dragon?"

The souls that can't withstand Dragon Power couldn't possibly control the body of a Giant Dragon, the Heister Tree seemed to assume Duncan possessed the Dragon Soul of a Dragon Descendant.

Another Heister Tree expressed doubt, "Is this a new measure to oppose the World Devourers?"

"Using dragons against dragons?"

These Heister Tree's words were too chaotic and overly jumpy, Duncan listened in a haze, frowning and couldn't help but interrupt, "Can you let me ask a few questions first?"

Consciousness space gradually quieted.

Finally, the Heister Tree blooming with icy flowers said, "Ask."

Finally, they could communicate individually.

Duncan pondered for a moment then asked, "Where do you come from?"

Sub-dragon people and Heister Trees, clearly different from other races, feeling like they're not of the same genre, with completely different civilization, genes, and ideology.

One Heister Tree slowly answered, "We were born from the Twelve Worlds destroyed at creation."

"Falling along with the Earth Bone."

"Earth Bone, El Nofi, are the offspring of gods, also the ancestors of humans, elves, and other creatures."

Duncan could not comprehend.

But after finally meeting a somewhat friendly Divine Level presence to communicate with, he indeed wanted to understand the situation of this world, the Demon Gods were too lazy to elaborate, and the intel garnered was extremely limited.

He couldn't help but further ask, "Can you explain it in simpler terms?"

Another round of whispers.

These Heister Divine Trees seemed to be communicating, while observing Duncan, a projected page finally appeared with a prompt.

"Memory cycle detected!… Heister Divine Tree has shared the memory river with you!…"

Some ancient memories flowed into his mind.

These Heister Trees still retained memories from the creation period, Duncan saw some incomplete creation scenes, fragmentary, jumpy, it seemed the trees were gradually forgetting that distant era.

Then, a laughable scene unfolded.

The creation was mostly completed.

But because stabilizing the created world required a great sacrifice, the total designer of the Creator Divine Spirits, named 'Magnus', abandoned continuing 'creation', directly fleeing the newly opened universe from the material level.

"This is simply absurd to the extreme!"

"How could a creator god run halfway through the task?"

"Do you think yourself as a civil engineer bro? Can leave anytime with a bucket?"

Duncan couldn't bear to watch.

The other Creator Divine Spirits were fuming! The shamelessness was off the charts.

This was the lousiest bunch in all the creation myths Duncan had heard of.

The total designer ran away.

The other participants started running too.

They escaped the material level, leaving holes that became the sun and stars.

Through ancient memories, Duncan discovered this universe was not large, somewhat like Dungeons and Dragons' Crystal Wall System, smaller than the solar system. Compared to it, although the Middle Ages had low ceilings, the space was much grander, and the observable space should be vast.
