Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 1164: Emergency Meeting_3

Although it makes sense, if one insists on approaching it, it's not impossible. One must strike at the point of the Revenge Shadow Rider's sword-holding reverse stance, or ensure that it cannot effectively utilize this special ability. The reason no one does this is not that they can't, but because no one is willing to take the risk. After all, you only have one life, and if your judgment is wrong, you're done for.

Listening to a group of laymen's discussions, the fat man shook his head. Even if he gave them five times more reaction time, he could easily beat them, let alone the Revenge Shadow Rider.

He yawned and absentmindedly glanced around, suddenly noticing some strange people in the exhibition hall...

Raymond? Why would he be here? The fat man quickly associated Raymond's views on the Revenge Shadow Rider and soon understood. Indeed, he had once imitated and learned from the Revenge Shadow Rider, paving his own path. Therefore, Raymond's fighting style bears many similarities to that guy. If it were him enjoying the system's bonuses, he might truly stand a chance against the Revenge Shadow Rider.

At this moment, the fat man was eagerly anticipating the arrival of the new version. It seems the current situation of the Star Wars company isn't that bad.

——

At the Federal Headquarters, a group from Rekart sent intel, and the Star Domain Broadcast was directly received by President Adams. The message was concise... An extraterrestrial civilization is approaching the outskirts of Rekart at nearly the speed of light, using spacecraft with aviation technology that humanity does not yet understand. On this matter, Rekart hopes to receive comprehensive federal support and declares that they do not intend to hide this information from the world.

In the presidential office, Adams felt a heavy heart. The human migration plan had just been implemented for a few years; as the capital moved away from the Solar System, with diminishing sunlight, future resources would only become scarcer. Unexpectedly, bizarre events hadn't ended, and yet another dire shadow loomed over humanity.

The federal advance investigation team had already lost contact, causing subsequent operations to halt. The opposing side's technological level is clearly more advanced than humanity's.

It means, they likely discovered humanity long ago, though we were in the dark. Since they dare come so openly, they must have conducted detailed research on our civilization's development, only we were unaware at that time.

"There's one thing I could never understand."

Adams pondered... expressing his thoughts to everyone in the room. Assuming it's a species with a higher level of civilization, they couldn't not investigate humanity in detail. But if they investigated, wouldn't they know the origin of the 'bizarre' or the crisis humanity faces?

Judging by their aviation technology, the unknown civilization is indeed more advanced than humanity, and human technology cannot achieve such large-scale migration. Here lies a contradiction: the size is immense, yet their speed isn't faster than humanity's. Thus, we can assume that even if their civilization surpasses humanity's, the degree is limited.

In other words, lions and tigers eat meat; who bites whom to death is still uncertain. Even if I can't defeat you, I can take a bite. Their invasive intentions are evident, why would they dare send out such a large scale at once? Their civilization level may not necessarily be higher than ours, which is where it doesn't add up, unless — this number which appears vast to humans is merely a conventional armed force in their eyes.

After all, humans have no experience with Class III civilization contact. Perhaps any phenomenon we deem unreasonable is actually reasonable.

Adams's voice covered the room's already quiet atmosphere with an invisible cloud.

"Your Excellency, the President." It was Emily, the federal lieutenant general speaking.

Everyone's eyes turned to this strong-willed woman.

"I wouldn't say my air battle experience is extensive, but I've spent years in space and seen a lot of different lives."

"What do you mean by this?"

"Apart from space pirates, I've heard many rumors of merchant families and even small factions residing long-term in space. If I'm not mistaken, Bergheide is the best example. Do you remember the amusing incident when Bergheide declared war twice on us on the same day at the start of the Bermuda Campaign?"

Bergheide declared war twice a day on the Federation? Adams reminisced slightly, smiling faintly as he caught the key point in Amelia's words.

Indeed, Bergheide did declare war on the FCA Alliance twice in one day. As for the reason, it wasn't rooted in political governance or a major intelligence failure by the Sky Network.

Unlike the Federation, Bergheide possesses a separate and complete armed system. Their Space Fleet and ground forces are entirely separate entities; the Space Fleet cannot govern ground affairs, and ground affairs cannot easily intervene in the Space Fleet. It's quite interesting.

So on the day Bergheide declared war, they later received a war declaration from the Space Fleet as well.

As a governing leader, Adams's mind was sharp. He instantly gleaned a potential connection from Amelia's metaphor, "General, do you mean the unknown civilization's situation might be similar to Bergheide's Space Fleet?"

"Mm-hmm, they might be a drifting species long active in outer space, although this is just my personal hypothesis. As you said, it might also be their conventional armed forces."

"Right, everything still needs time to be gradually verified. At least, the current situation isn't the worst for us." A cunning smile appeared on Adams's face, "Everyone should maintain an optimistic spirit; their first stop should be Rekart."

The heavy atmosphere on-site eased significantly after Adams uttered those words. After all, whatever awaits humanity ahead, we must face it, and we can only face it.
