Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 1094: The Beginning of a Prosperous Era

The next day, from morning till night, the Blade Warrior almost ran her legs off — the heels on her shoes were even scuffed by the end of it. Still, she managed to wrap everything up after a marathon of negotiation.

Over the course of the day, she signed a total of seven contracts: one was a two-year indenture agreement, another was a lifetime commercial deal, and others included subsidiary employee transfer visas and a jumble of other things. Each document had been meticulously vetted by Yita. Only after confirming there were no loose ends did she brazenly sign her name.

From this moment on — she, Blade Warrior, was now a bona fide Federation citizen. Oh, this feeling was just... delicious...

At the very least, her Combat Power Tester company now had protection, unlike the nerve-wracking years spent in Freedom Port, Maraca. One could say that during her time there, the only reason she wasn't messed with was because the Freedom Bounty Tribe was just next door — coupled with the fact that the Triangular Star area fell under the federal jurisdiction.

Unfortunately, as the series of bizarre events dragged on, that piece of No Man's Land was no longer suitable for human habitation. She had no choice but to find a relatively reliable backer. Clearly, when it came to Roland's invitation, Blade Warrior was more inclined toward Earth. After all, she had lived on Earth for a long time and held significant emotional ties to it.

As for those numerous clauses she'd signed, the veteran politicians from various nations were evidently cut from the same cloth. Even if she were to relocate to Zana Republic, or step into Hell's Gate, she'd likely face the same old arrangements — three fixed laws, nothing better than her current situation.

Given such circumstances, why not choose a place she actually liked? After all, it was once her homeland, where she grew up.

Feeling the sea breeze on her cheeks, Blade Warrior couldn't help but savor a rare moment of relaxation! It had been ages since she'd experienced urban life. Yet, she couldn't help but wonder if she'd be able to adapt to the current pace. The hazy moonlight on the horizon was still as familiar as ever...

A stroll downtown sounded nice, indulging in a little unwinding now and then wasn't too bad...

"Blade Warrior, your break is over. Tomorrow, we need to prepare for the journey,"

"Ugh, you're so annoying. Just leave me alone, I want a moment of peace."

"Alright, I'll stay connected just in case." With that, Yita's figure instantly vanished.

Now, Blade Warrior was already striding toward the bustling city center. The night owls who were accustomed to nightlife had probably only just woken up. Her mind flitted from one thought to another until she hadn't made it far before a motorbike suddenly intercepted her. On the bike sat two clearly drunk guys.

"Hey gorgeous, need a lift?"

"Heh, yours truly isn't just any woman you can pick up, you know." Blade Warrior cocked her hips confidently, the mesmerizing lines of her body glowing with a touch of magic under the night's light, her vibrant voice brimming with youthful charm.

The man replied, "Not many cars come through this area; you'd have to walk at least another thousand meters. Sure you don't want to hop on?"

"No."

As if unwilling to leave, the man was about to say something — but when he looked up again, the gorgeous woman was gone. In her place was a sleek black panther, staring him down with the laser focus of a predator sizing up its prey.

— Leopard Transformation

What…? Who could stand this? A panther in the city? The man's drunken haze immediately sobered, and with a stomp of the accelerator, he vanished without a trace.

"Tsk, such an uncultured brute who doesn't appreciate beauty," Blade Warrior shook her head, striding confidently toward the brightly lit streets.

Suddenly! She froze mid-step... because Blade Warrior had spotted someone — a face vaguely familiar but far from being considered a friend — Hans?

This guy lived in the Capital region of Earth, true, but why was he here on this coastal highway? Hans wasn't exactly some nobody, and even though the economic situation of Combat Power Tester wasn't ideal, it wasn't so dire that he'd be reduced to pedaling along on a basic bicycle. Seriously — at least trade up to a decent ride!

"Hans."

"Huh? You are…?" Hans was stunned. Truth be told, he dreaded being recognized, which was why he stuck to nightly jogs along the coastal highway to stay inconspicuous.

"Why are you here?"

"Uh, and you are…?" It was clear Hans didn't recognize her. Understandably so — the two had only met briefly once, and Blade Warrior, as the low-profile owner of Combat Power Tester, rarely appeared onscreen. Besides, she wasn't one to make public appearances, so Hans not knowing her wasn't surprising.

But still — how could he forget a beauty like her? Realizing Hans didn't recognize her, Blade Warrior's brows furrowed instantly, a twinge of displeasure flickering in her eyes.

This guy — she remembered him, and yet he dared to forget her? A fire roared in her chest, ready to erupt. It made sense, though; Blade Warrior's recognition of Hans wasn't unfounded. Hans often appeared on-screen and was self-styled as the spokesperson for Revenge Shadow Rider. When people thought of Revenge Shadow Rider, thoughts of Hans naturally followed. So it wasn't unusual for Blade Warrior to remember him.

However, just because Blade Warrior remembered Hans didn't mean Hans would remember her. On the contrary, Hans was a prominent figure who had seen his fair share of beauties. For instance, Charlotte and Little Wu — both of them had previously served as commentators on the Interstellar Battle Network and were now immensely famous.

While it's true that their lives took a turn due to Revenge Shadow Rider, it's undeniable their own attributes were solidly impressive. Compared to Blade Warrior, Charlotte and Little Wu lagged a bit in terms of allure, but they were still standout beauties.

Besides, Hans wasn't just any average Joe — he'd attended countless elite events. It wasn't odd for strangers to know him. In fact, in this world, you might not recognize some foreign presidents or pop stars, but you'd absolutely know Hans.
