Chapter 1480: The Final Awakening

A Quantum Fluctuation occurred in an unknown space within the Aries constellation sector, Mo Ying's voice approached from afar, reawakening Feng Yi's blurred consciousness.

It was still that familiar void, gloomy and boundless as if there was no end to time itself...

"You are Mo Ying."

"Yes."

"I wonder how long I have slumbered this time..."

"One year and thirty-two days, according to the human Earth calendar."

One year and thirty-two days, in this void of cosmic time and space, the fleeting one year and thirty-two days that unexpectedly felt so brief; for someone who has died, perhaps even if time spanned thousands, millions, or billions of years, it would still be but a flick of a finger.

Though Feng Yi knew nothing of what had transpired in the outside world, he could vaguely sense a trace of sadness. Gazing at his own luminescent and hazy body, he briefly fell into silence...

"I really shouldn't continue to exist in this world."

"Why do you say that?"

"It's meaningless, at least to the current me."

"Have you never felt a sliver of attachment to the world? Even to your former friends, the vegetation, the stories..."

Feng Yi said, "I have, but all of that has come to an end."

"Ended... So, what is it that elicits your attachment then?"

"Anything related to me. A person's life is like a beautiful song; laughter and tears write the most genuine melodies within it. Yet, at the moment my heart stopped beating, when I lost my breath, all memories should conclude like a song—why then did you awaken me?"

Mo Ying fell silent for a moment...

"Perhaps this is what you humans call boredom. Your friends have successfully completed dimensional travel, finding another you in a different dimension. They have done something that humanity couldn't possibly achieve. I wanted to share this with you."

"So that's how it is... It seems humanity has found new hope once again."

"I don't believe they have any chance, they won't succeed just by finding another you from a different dimension, even though that Feng Yi is subtly connected to you."

"As expected... Humanity ultimately can't escape this catastrophe..."

"That seems to be the case unless you are resurrected, severing the causal threads of fate."

"Threads of fate, what are they?"

"I've said before that your existence in this world is far from ordinary. Since you can perceive the cosmic essence through your own means, why can't you sever your own threads of fate? While fate is an inevitable process, it is not devoid of chance. Birth, aging, illness, and death are inevitable, curing disease with medicine is by chance; your arrival in this space is inevitable, grasping the Third Rhythm is by chance. Rather than viewing death and rebirth as opposites, it's better to see them as transformations between material states. If you, who have grasped the Third Rhythm, can truly understand the connection between chance and inevitability, rebirth is not such a difficult task."

"The Third Rhythm, the relationships within..." Feng Yi repeated Mo Ying's words over and over in his mind, unsure how to comprehend. "Forget it, I'm not fixated on pursuing life."

Mo Ying's distant voice seemed to grow more solemn, "Feng Yi, you are about to enter true death, this may be our last conversation. Even though this fourth-dimensional space-time is rich in matter, it cannot maintain the integrity of your soul's magnetic field. When that time comes, I won't be able to awaken your faint electromagnetic waves."

"Thank you for the reminder, but it's already insignificant to me."

"Is that so? Perhaps it is because of this decision that your former dear friends and family, and even the entire human civilization might fall into a major crisis because of this."

"Heh, Mo Ying, since when did you also take an interest in the rise and fall of human civilization? As a High Dimensional being, I'm rather curious about you as well. Maybe what you're thinking right now is the last thing I really want to know before I truly die," Feng Yi said, almost jokingly, without any emotional fluctuations due to life and death.

"You are the last intelligent life form I will encounter within 1.5 billion years, and according to human terms, that too is a kind of fate. If every encounter is inevitable, should I not also make a bold attempt to test fate, to make a chance effort to overthrow destiny?"

"Hah, interesting, how do you want to attempt it?"

In an instant that Feng Yi's thoughts surfaced, an image of nothingness abruptly appeared near his thoughts... Hmm, a disheveled beggar in tattered clothes.

"His name is Allen."

"Allen...?"

"Yes, I've told you before, when the beggar Allen died, I used his body which I foresaw Kexiao finding me in. The beggar named Allen is the body you see right now. I want to try to reach out to your former friend, Blade Warrior. They have made technological breakthroughs time and again through their own power. I wonder if they can break through themselves on this issue, shatter the High Dimensional barriers, and trace back to my distant homeland."

"What...?" Feng Yi was immediately shocked by the thoughts conveyed by Mo Ying.

Mo Ying meant to try to return to a higher dimension using Blade Warrior's abilities, which is the Fifth Dimension space barrier that humans dare not even contemplate.

Although Blade Warrior's dimensional travel involves a certain degree of luck and coincidence, if it weren't for obtaining some Time Crystal materials in the fourth dimension, it would be outright impossible for Blade Warrior to break the space barriers of this universe and cross into parallel worlds.

However, with each successful experiment, it further proves the fact of infinite human intelligence. They can create miracles over and over, relying not only on theoretical technologies but also on bold attempts, brave innovations, and the continuous exploration of the unknown universe.

Even such a wise and long-dead, decayed, and ages-dormant High Dimensional civilization yearns for its homeland like never before, let alone myself, who has just died. What reason do I, as someone deceased, have to stand by idly?

But beyond that, besides contemplating some of the past, Feng Yi really didn't know what he could do with his current self. Now, the existence of his being is merely a nearly extinguished magnetic field, with such a faint presence it wouldn't even match a current, always on the verge of annihilation. If it were not for the sustenance of this high-density space-time, he would have faded to nothing long ago. His time is extremely limited, and he doesn't have much time left to understand the deeper meaning of Mo Ying's words.

Just as Feng Yi's consciousness was about to be extinguished, Mo Ying cautioned, "Feng Yi, if your consciousness dissipates now, you will never be able to wake up again."

"But what can I do now?"

"I can give you one more chance to awaken, but I must strip you of one ability."

"Ability?"

"Yes, there's no need to worry. It won't be the Third Rhythm, as I cannot grasp this special ability you understand. What I might strip away could be your time, personal interests and hobbies, or the intelligence, emotions that you possess."
