Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 959 Berserk Kexiao

It was actually Kexiao—how could he be here when he had no dealings with me at all? Sky Shadow certainly hadn't hoped for him to kindly step in to help.

Of course, it wouldn't be easy for the Jade Clear Sect to put me to death. Who out there doesn't have a contingency plan when they venture into the world? As thoughts whirled, I decided to quietly observe for now.

The elders and protectors of the Jade Clear Sect were also taken aback, their faces showing confusion. They had heard much about this significant figure, but why had he suddenly appeared here? After a brief exchange of glances, Zhan Yu spoke up first, "So it's General Kexiao. The Jade Clear Sect and Saudi have always kept to themselves. May I ask what the general means by..."

Kexiao's chilly gaze swept over everyone, completely disregarding Zhan Yu's words, and calmly stated, "A rabble of nobodies, you're not qualified to speak with me."

What?! He dared to be so disrespectful, belittling the Jade Clear Sect in front of so many elders and protectors—that was intolerable. At his words, several elders were immediately filled with killing intent, poised to tear him to pieces.

The corner of Kexiao's mouth showed the slightest trace of disdain, his cold eyes gleamed.

Before the elders could act, Mingfei intercepted them. She couldn't gauge the depth of this man's power. If Sky Shadow's strength was still just terrifyingly great, Kexiao, to her, seemed like nothing more than an ordinary person—quiet as a maiden but unfathomably deep. If a fight broke out, it might lead to casualties with Sky Shadow involved. To avoid this, she did not desire an escalating conflict and said, "We fight the Federation because they first killed our scouts. What is your purpose?"

"Do you need a reason to fight?" Kexiao was amused, finding Mingfei's words utterly ridiculous. He began to move leisurely among the people as if he were walking into a no man's land, treating the crowd around him as if they were mere air.

As if he were contemplating or, perhaps, reminiscing, Kexiao spoke solemnly, "In his early days, Feng Yi was inclined to valor; later, he leaned more towards benevolence. He no longer insisted on pursuing power; he became more easygoing and might have felt helpless about many things. Yet he never changed, always adhering to his convictions. He might be defeated, but he never submitted. He saw through fate, but he was never servile. His life was glorious, and he is the only person I have ever acknowledged. I've been too busy with state affairs and never really had a good talk with him."

As he said this, his voice turned sharply cold, like a blade, "But I truly cannot comprehend why someone like Feng Yi would die at the hands of nobodies like you."

Mingfei's head buzzed, as a flurry of questions suddenly became clear. He had appeared solely because of this matter. Mingfei pondered and said, "Protector Mengdie is also very upset."

Mengdie seemed to recall some sorrowful memory; her breath grew heavier upon hearing the words, here eyes quietly became hollow and lost, her lips unconsciously parted, but made no sound nor attempted to make any excuses.

"Empty words. You think I would believe that?"

"The facts are just as I said." Mingfei's voice grew colder, "We're not expecting you to believe it. So what now? You think you can take on all of us by yourself? Don't you think you're overstating your abilities?"

"Overstating my abilities? Ha, that's utterly absurd."

"What's so absurd about it?"

"I've never considered ants to be worth watching."

"What do you really want?"

"To kill without mercy." The icy voice was accompanied by Kexiao's brooding profile. "Come at me, all of you." In that moment, his aura was furious, his words carried unmasked domination—a warrior willing to fight for those he acknowledges.

As soon as Kexiao finished speaking, the assembly from the Jade Clear Sect had already launched their assault toward him, shifting their initial target completely onto Kexiao.

"That's the spirit."

With a single hand extended into the wind, Kexiao stepped forward, his hand movements precise as he easily caught an opponent's fist. His action was so fast the other person had no chance to react; his fist was caught and the feeling was so sudden, as if time had frozen. With a forceful jerk of his hand, he tore away half an arm, the bones gruesomely exposed.

During this short span, the other eight were unable to provide any assistance—they could only watch as Kexiao gravely wounded one with a single strike.

Without pause, Kexiao surged forward, his movements as explosive as a released crossbow, followed by a devastating Destruction Shock attack. It was unimaginable that such a tremendous burst of power could come from his average build, reminiscent of an artillery shell.

A muffled grunt rang out. Mingfei, caught unprepared, was abruptly sent flying far away. She vomited blood repeatedly as she tumbled through the void, her bones almost coming apart, losing her ability to fight all at once.

How fearsome was this explosion of power? Sky Shadow, with difficulty, equipped the combat strength meter from the Space Crystal. Even he couldn't help but click his tongue in amazement at the soaring numbers.

Two hundred thousand, three hundred thousand, three hundred and fifty thousand, four hundred thousand...

Shock! Sky Shadow had no words to describe his feelings, and Kexiao's combat strength showed no signs of diminishing.

It was unimaginable: nine formidable protectors and elders attacked simultaneously and were instantly brought down, two incapacitated with serious injuries. Even with a lack of understanding of Kexiao, objectively this proved his fierce combat abilities.
